The director of Final Fantasy XIV Naoki Yoshida believes that MMORPGs like WoW or Elder Scrolls Online are not the biggest rivals for his game. For the head of FFXIV, all types of entertainment are competition.
What constitutes the competition for FFXIV? As the head of Business Division 5 at Square Enix, which is responsible for online games, Yoshida must always consider competing products in the development of the games. According to him, this does not only include other MMORPGs:
“I think that all forms of entertainment should be regarded as competition. Modern gamers are very busy – they have to divide their limited time among the various types of entertainment they consume alongside gaming.”
The head of FFXIV believes that this is the reason why MMORPGs have a hard time gaining a foothold in our time. According to him, one of the important features of an MMORPG is the fact that you have to spend a lot of time with it to understand and appreciate its depth and enjoyment. Yoshida therefore believes that MMORPGs primarily compete for their players’ time. Whether against movies, TV series, single-player games, or other forms of entertainment.
MMORPGs flourished at a time when mobile internet was not yet widespread, but now we live in a world where we can stream a complete TV series from our phones almost anytime, Yoshida says. As developers, we must be able to learn from all forms of entertainment.
In an interview with Mein-MMO about the Stormblood expansion and the Jump Potions, Yoshida already talked about how modern players no longer have time for MMORPGs. His attitude towards this has not changed.
Final Fantasy XIV is supported by two pillars
What are the most important aspects of FFXIV for Yoshida? The director of FFXIV focuses on two main pillars in the development of his game: The story and the community.
The story of the MMORPG should continue to progress, but always be accessible for new players. Everyone should be able to jump into FFXIV and be immediately captivated by the narrative.
Communication with the community must always be maintained so that the community knows that their opinion matters in the development of FFXIV.
How does this attitude affect the content of FFXIV? This mindset is also reflected in the overall structure of the content of Final Fantasy XIV. The majority of the content in FFXIV can be divided into two large categories in terms of time spent.
Quick and easily digestible bites: This includes content like individual dailies and dungeons that are designed to last no longer than 30 minutes. This type of content helps players with little time stay engaged and not fall too far behind hardcore players in terms of gear.
Long-term projects that are tackled step by step: This type of content includes, for example, the crafting system of FFXIV as well as the relic weapons and armors. They often involve massive grinding or require very high amounts of in-game currency. Players can work on this content slowly over months.
Additionally, there are weekly limits on loot and tokens that slow down progress, for example, when collecting new gear. Players can plan their weekly playtime accordingly without suffering significant disadvantages for playing less.
The director of Final Fantasy XIV is also fighting on other fronts:

In the Blackout battle royale mode of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, you can unlock cool new skins with enough effort. We explain how to get the Specialists and more skins here.
What are skins in Blackout? In the Blackout battle royale mode, you initially have only a few generic skins without any special features. This can’t go on, and many players want something special.
Luckily, there are also special skins. When you equip them, you look like the Specialists from Multiplayer or like characters from the Zombie mode. Additionally, there are some fan favorites from previous installments of the Black Ops series.
What can skins do? Nothing, they just look different, and you can show off a rare appearance to your friends and teammates. Skins do not provide any concrete gameplay advantages.
[toc]
Basics of Skins in Blackout
How do you get the Specialists? Specialists are always tied to specific requirements. You can only unlock the respective skin and use it if you meet these requirements in a match.
Simple skins for grinders: Some skins only require you to reach a specific echelon level. Then the skin becomes available.
Tricky skins for experts: Special skins, however, are tied to tangible tasks. Usually, you need to find a specific item and do something with it during the ongoing Blackout round. This can sometimes be really difficult and tricky. And if you mess up the special action, you won’t get the skin, and your efforts in that round were in vain.
What you need to do for which skins is explained in the following overview.
If you want certain characters from Black Ops’ past or the Specialists, you’ll have to do more than just grind up the tiers. The following heroes and villains can only be obtained through sometimes absurdly difficult challenges. Therefore, some of them are likely to be rarely seen on the battlefield.
Torque
The newcomer in Black Ops 4 requires a considerable amount of effort!
The requirement for the Specialist: First, you need to unlock the challenge mission with a message from Torque. You can find it as a random drop in any supply crate.
The challenges for Torque: After that, you need to complete the following tasks in the same match:
Place barbed wire twice
Set up a barricade
Reach at least 15th place in Blackout
Keep the message from Torque in your inventory
Ajax
Ajax is also new in Black Ops 4 and somewhat easier to obtain if you make good kills.
The requirement for the Specialist: First, you need to loot broken armor pieces from fallen enemies. These appear randomly as loot from kills.
The challenges for Ajax: After that, you need to complete the following tasks in the same match:
Acquire 3 armor plates from killed enemies
Keep the broken armor plate in your inventory
Crash
The medic Crash is also a newcomer. Those who want to earn him have to put in a good effort.
The requirement for the Specialist: First, find a poker chip. These are sometimes found in trauma crates.
The challenges for Crash: After that, you need to complete the following tasks in the same match:
Finish the match in the top 3
Complete the game with 15 healing items in your inventory
Keep the poker chip in your inventory
Battery
The explosives expert Battery from Black Ops 3 is also available as a skin in Blackout mode when you blow away enemies with grenades.
The requirement for the Specialist: To get the party started, you only need a War Machine grenade launcher.
The challenges for Battery: After that, you need to complete the following tasks in the same match:
Blow away enemies with the grenade launcher
Reach at least 15th place
Firebreak
The pyromaniac from Black Ops 3 is easy to obtain when you burn enemies.
The requirement for the Specialist: To get started, you need a burned doll, which can be found randomly in the game.
The challenges for Firebreak: After that, you need to complete the following tasks in the same match:
Achieve a clean kill or eliminate a downed enemy with fire
Keep the burned doll in your inventory
Recon
For this character, you need to be quick above all.
The requirement for the Specialist: First, find Ching Coins in supply containers or supply drops.
The challenges for Recon: After that, you need to complete the following tasks in the same match:
Avoid damage from the collapse zone
Reach at least 15th place
Keep the Ching Coins in your inventory
Frank Woods
The fan favorite Frank Woods has a particularly crazy challenge.
The requirement for Woods: First, find Woods’ headband. It is a random find on the map.
The challenges for Frank Woods: After that, you need to complete the following tasks in the same match:
Fly a helicopter
Keep the headband in your inventory
Raul Menendez
The famous villain is also in the game. He requires brutal melee kills.
The requirement for Menendez: First, find a necklace with a pendant on the map.
The challenges for Menendez: After that, you need to complete the following tasks in the same match:
Kill an enemy with a shotgun
Kill an enemy in melee
Keep the pendant in your inventory
Where are the other skins and specialists? Since Black Ops 4 has not been on the market for long, not all challenges for all Specialists have been found yet. As soon as we have more information on the remaining characters, we will update this article.

With the Forsaken expansion, new exclusive Nightfall rewards were introduced in Destiny 2. We have summarized all Nightfall-specific rewards for you and show you where to find the coveted Strike loot.
In March 2018, Destiny 2 introduced special rewards for successfully completing Nightfall Strikes. These exclusive Nightfall rewards are designed to give Guardians another incentive to complete the Nightfall Strike. We will show you which exclusive Nightfall loot you can receive in which Strike.
[toc]
All exclusive Nightfall rewards at a glance
Since March, every nasty Nightfall strike boss has had a rare item in its loot pool that can drop for Guardians on any difficulty level of the Nightfalls with a bit of luck.
Currently, with Forsaken, there are 14 different Nightfall rewards that Guardians can pursue in Destiny 2. These include special weapons, Ghost shells, Sparrows, and ships. Unfortunately, there are no Strike-specific armor pieces.
The Nightfall rewards from the base game

The Nightfall loot from DLC I “Curse of Osiris”
Hand Cannon “T.V.O”: In the Nightfall mode of the strike “Tree of Probabilities” on Mercury, you can get the legendary Hand Cannon T.V.O.

Shotgun “The Striving of the Mindbender”:This legendary piece can be obtained when you successfully master “The Hollow Hideout” in the Tangled Shore as Nightfall.
At the Ubiday in Japan, Massive has now talked about when to expect the beta for The Division 2. However, there will be no testing in 2018.
The Division 2 will have multiple betas. So far, a Closed Beta and a Private Beta are known. The start dates for these testing phases are still open.
Massive has now commented and confirmed that there will be no beta for The Division 2 in 2018.
Are the Betas coming just before the Release of The Division 2?
When can we expect the first beta? According to Massive, the tests will not start until Spring 2019. When exactly remains open.
Similar timelines as for the predecessor? The Division 2 is set to release on March 15, 2019. The predecessor had a similar date and was released on March 8, 2016.
The betas could therefore start with a similar lead time. The Closed Beta for The Division 1 started on January 29, 2016, and lasted for two days. The Open Beta followed on February 18 or 19 and lasted until February 21.
Whether it will happen the same way for The Division 2 is pure speculation, but not unlikely.
Open Beta not confirmed yet
Whether there will be an Open Beta is unknown. So far, only the Closed and Private Betas are known, for which certain requirements must be met.
These are the requirements for participating in the beta:
Closed Beta: To participate, you must register on the official page and hope that you are selected when the time comes.
Private Beta: For the Private Beta, you must preorder The Division 2. Which edition you choose is irrelevant in this case.
In South Korea and other Asian countries, new MMORPGs from old brands such as Blade & Soul, Lineage, Black Desert or Bless are constantly appearing. Gaming and the MMORPG genre have shifted there into the “Mobile” sector.
This is what is happening in South Korea: The latest hype title in South Korea is an old acquaintance, “Blade and Soul.” The game was already released in 2012 in South Korea for PC. But now it is again on everyone’s lips. The new installment isn’t even out yet.
The mobile boom for MMORPGs in South Korea continues
So successful is Blade & Soul Revolution before its launch: To cope with the rush of character reservations alone, Netmarble has opened 20 new servers. All 50 servers initially planned were already fully booked after 4 days, they report.
Bang therefore focused on mobile from the beginning. Even when the infrastructure in Korea was not yet set up for mobile and players were still flocking in droves to PC cafés, he wanted to go mobile. That initially failed.
However, with action and strategy games based on Disney brands like Marvel, Netmarble later became wealthy.
Some years ago, Netmarble then discovered MMORPGs with strong licenses for themselves. Since Netmarble does not own any “old” PC MMORPGs, they made a deal with NCSoft and are porting their old “brands” into new mobile games: first Lineage 2 Revolution in 2016, and now Blade and Soul Revolution in 2018.
Mobile variants revive Lineage and Black Desert
PC MMORPGs are transitioning: But classic PC companies are also making their money in Korea now on mobile.
NCSoft itself has re-released the classic “Lineage” as “Lineage M” in 2017. This saved their financial year, after their own PC MMORPGs started to age.
One of the big winners of the mobile wave in Asia is Pearl Abyss with the relatively new MMORPG “Black Desert” (2015). No wonder we have to wait so long for the PS4 and Xbox One version of Black Desert here.
Will it come to Europe? The first attempts to bring this mobile hype to Europe and North America have so far been rather mediocre.
The flagship Asian games in the mobile sector are “Lineage 2 Revolution” and the LoL variant “Arena of Valor.” Both titles are now also playable in the West.
The problem: In the West, “mobile gaming” is seen more as a domain for casual players. However, the successful titles from Asia are aimed at core gamers. At the moment, the gaming industry is trying to establish such “core mobile games” in the West. But they are encountering resistance from players who prefer to stick to PC, PS4 or Xbox One.
It remains to be seen whether the mobile trend will really sweep over to Germany and the West. It could awaken the MMORPGs from their slumber.
Elune, the new tactical Mobile-MMO, is going into Closed Beta on Android. Find out here how to get in and what Elune is all about.
What is Elune? Behind this name is not something like the moon goddess of the Night Elves from World of Warcraft, but the heroes from the new tactical Mobile-MMO by Gamevil (Royal Blood).
What exactly are Elunes supposed to be? In the game, you collect various characters, the so-called Elunes (there are said to be about 200 of them) and build a powerful team with them. The Elunes are extremely diverse. There are cute anime girls, eccentric gunslingers, and grim knights, among others.
Each Elune has its own skills and characteristics that change your tactics. You will then engage in PvE and PvP battles with other players or AI opponents.
How does Elune play? The gameplay resembles a little bit of the mobile hit Summoners War. The battles are turn-based, and you can determine the order in which your Elunes attack and perform actions.

Where are the MMO aspects of Elune? On one hand, there is PvP, where you measure yourselves against other players to see who has the better Elune team. In raids, you can team up with multiple players to take on particularly tough monsters. However, in the beta, there will only be duels between two players.
Beta on Android
How can I play Elune? Currently, a beta of Elune is running on Android devices. If you want to participate, you can download Elune for your Android device under the following link in the Google Play Store.
What about iOS? The beta is currently only designed for Android. However, there will be a version for iOS later. When exactly, however, is unclear.
When does the beta run exactly? The beta of Elune will run until October 24 at 2:00 AM.
If you’re in the mood for space battles with spaceships, you might want to take a look at a new game. The space shooter Dreadnought – Command the Colossal is now available for free on Steam.
Material battle in space: Dreadnought is a kind of “World of Tanks” in space. The battles proceed at a moderate pace and with many tactical elements. You can switch your weapons or adjust your strategies during a battle. This also applies to your opponents.
Battles and features: In Dreadnought, you compete in “8 vs 8” matches against each other. How you assemble your teams is up to you. Equipment and appearance of all ships are customizable.
The available game modes include:
Team Deathmatch
Onslaught, where you must prove yourself against players and AI
and Conquest, a kind of “King of the Hill” mode.
In Dreadnought, you can also level up and improve your skills.
Community is divided in opinion: The views of the community on Dreadnought are mixed. Currently, the game has only “mixed” reviews on Steam. (57% positive from 605 reviews, as of October 16, 2018, at 12:50 PM)
According to the community, Dreadnought’s setting and depth are strong points. Sci-fi fans and lovers of tactical combat, in particular, are thrilled.
Critics often cite bugs and glitches that negatively impact gameplay or make it unpleasant. According to some players, the developers should have improved these issues first.
Fans have been waiting for information about the new Dark Zone in Washington D.C. since the announcement of The Division 2. The developers have now talked about matchmaking for groups and solo players. They also revealed when we can expect more details about the DZ.
The Dark Zone is one of the highlights of The Division. It is an area that runs through the center of Manhattan. In this zone, PvP and PvE are not separated. You can collect loot from AI opponents or steal from other players.
Separate matchmaking for groups and solo players?
Players without a group often complained in The Division 1 about being pursued by larger groups. This has also been a concern for Division developer Massive regarding the predecessor.
Why should this be done? In Part 1, solo players are thrown onto a server with other squads. Rogue squads enjoy hunting down players who are alone, as they are usually at a disadvantage.
This has spoiled the fun for many in the Dark Zone. However, these were not the only problems, the Dark Zone was constantly revised.
Could this change for The Division 2? Terry Spier, Creative Director at Ubisoft Red Storm, hinted that they are aware of this problem. Apparently, they have already considered separating group and solo players.
Yes, we have thought about it; I can’t comment on the plans. We have only publicly confirmed that there will be a Dark Zone in The Division 2. We have not announced anything further. But yes, we have thought about it. Of course, matchmaking is something very important for us in the Dark Zone.
However, Spier also emphasizes that the Dark Zone is meant to be a merciless place where players should set their own rules.
We must not forget that the Dark Zone is meant to be a place without rules. […] You define your own fairness. And if you have more people, you have an advantage.
Apparently, work on the mechanics of the Dark Zone is still ongoing, which is probably why there is hardly any concrete information available. However, this should follow soon.
That PvP in The Division 2 will fundamentally change is already clear due to the altered healing mechanics. You can read about how this works in our preview report from Gamescom 2018.
News coming this year
When can we expect more information about the Dark Zone? At the Ubiday in Japan, Massive has now confirmed that new information about the Dark Zone will be available in December.
It is not known whether this will be regarding gameplay or a dev blog entry.
With Patch 6.10 for Fortnite: Battle Royale, data for new skins has come back into play. Check here for the outfits and items you can look forward to in the shop soon.
Fortnite still wants to supply you with spooky skins. Recent leaks from the data of Patch 6.10 include images of creepy outfits that will soon appear in the shop. They may also reduce the flood of Skull Troopers currently plaguing the game.
These skins will soon be seen in the shop
The outfits: Four skins have been pulled from the data of Patch 6.10. Two of them are spooky Halloween looks, one outfit is cute, and one is Chinese.
Spider Knight (Legendary): A truly dark outfit that looks like a mix between Sauron and a spider.
Arachne (Legendary): The female version of Spider Knight reminds one a bit of Widowmaker from Overwatch thanks to her spider helmet and deep neckline.
Guan Yu (Epic): This skin features Guan Yu, the legendary Chinese general from the epic “Romance of the Three Kingdoms”.
Onesie (Rare): Fortnite wouldn’t be Fortnite if there weren’t at least one silly skin. This time it’s a onesie styled like a Durr-Burger.
These are the back blings: There are various new back pieces associated with the outfits:
Loyal Shield: A Chinese shield that likely belongs to Guan Yu.
Long Legs: Creepy spider legs that are probably animated. They likely belong to Arachne.
Spider Shield: A shield with eight red spider eyes. It should belong to the Spider Knight.
This is the new glider: Two of the new outfits are part of a set with their own glider:
Hatchling (Epic): A creepy spider as a glider. Belongs to the two spider outfits.
Divine Dragon (Epic): The glider of Guan Yu is a flying Chinese barge.
These are the new pickaxes: Three new harvesting tools have also appeared:
Guan Dao (Rare): This pickaxe features a Guan Dao, a Chinese polearm. This weapon is traditionally attributed to the great general Gan Yu and is likely his harvesting tool in the game.
Moonrise (Epic): This harvesting tool features bat wings and is likely associated with the vampire set from the Battle Pass of Season 6.
Web Breaker (Rare): This grim axe with spider eyes is the harvesting tool of the spider skins.
These are the new emotes: Currently, only two new emotes are known:
Headbanger
Electro Swing
When exactly these skins will come to the shop is unfortunately still unknown.
In FIFA 19 the first Prime Icon SBCs are now live. Get the legendary icons through SBCs or packs in Ultimate Team.
What are Prime Icons? Last year, the icons were one of the major innovations in the FIFA series. They are legendary players who are no longer active.
The special thing about the icons is that they receive three cards with different values. These reflect the different phases of their careers. The best of these cards are called “Prime Icons”.
The first 5 Prime Icons now in SBCs
These Prime Icons you can obtain: On October 15th, the first Prime Icon SBCs were activated in the game. You can now get five icons in their best form.
Fernando Hierro
Gennaro Gattuso
Jay-Jay Okocha
Marc Overmars
Lev Yashin
How to obtain the Prime Icons: There are three ways to get one of the coveted legend cards:
Packs: Like any other card, you can simply get the Prime Icon cards from packs. However, you’ll need a lot of luck. If you open some of the best packs in FIFA 19, you might at least increase the chances of getting an Icon card.
Transfer Market: You can also find the Prime Icons on the Transfer Market. However, the price for the legendary players is extremely high.
SBCs: All Prime Icons are also available through SBCs throughout the season. Currently, the Squad Building Challenge for the first Prime Icons is live. But it also requires a lot from you: In total, you must complete seven tasks, including exchanging a weaker icon that you already own with full teams of 84, 85, and 86 overall ratings. Therefore, the SBC also costs a lot of coins. You can earn coins through smart TOTW trading.
Obtaining the icons for your team remains a colossal task. But it’s worth it: Besides their great stats, icons are also chemistry-neutral. That means you can use them in any team.
In total, there are 74 icons in FIFA 19 – more Prime Icons will follow soon. These are among the best players in the game. You can find more top players here:
Houser further explains that other employees are not forced to work so many hours a week:
“Much more importantly, we do not expect anyone to work like that. In the company, we have some people in senior positions who work that hard out of pure passion for their project […].”
The gaming community doesn’t think that’s cool
This is how gamers react: The community reacted mostly with incomprehension and dismay. Accordingly, many players were more than skeptical about Houser’s new relativizing statement. Hardly anyone believes him that the regular developers “were not forced to do anything.” User Kromhorn says:
“Oh, I am completely sure that they do not have official requirements that force employees to work longer than full-time. What they do not tell you is how much pressure is put on other employees to maintain the same ridiculous working hours. That and the implied threats of dismissal if one is not able to “contribute.”
On the /r/games subreddit, the reactions were also predominantly negative:
“To state it so openly as if it were some kind of voluntary award is absolutely disgusting and Houser should be ashamed,” said user LewdOnMain in his comment that received 3700 upvotes.
Bittersweet humor in response to Houser’s statement: In the subreddit of Red Dead Redemption, memes have even appeared mocking Houser’s new statement. Titled “A rare behind-the-scenes photo of Rockstar’s development of RDR 2,” the meme received almost 22000 upvotes on Reddit:
Above: Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser. Below: “A Rockstar employee who does not want to work 100 hours a week”
User McGuffin on Massively OP sarcastically wrote: “This game is so great, 3 people worked themselves to death during development! We stashed their bodies under their tables to motivate others!”
Developers from the gaming industry are horrified
This is how other developers react: Even among colleagues in the gaming industry, Houser’s statement has found little understanding. Many considered the comment about 100 hours to be “boastful” and “bragging,” which is completely inappropriate in such a situation.
“When [the developers] crunch, then the managers are not doing their job right,” said Adam Orth, the creator of the VR game Adrift. “They are the problem, not [the developers]. You can usually see these people miles ahead before you even enter the studio.”
The US Senior Community Manager of Final Fantasy XIV, Chenin, shares this opinion as well. She posted on her Twitter: “This is not admirable. This is a harmful procedure […] and should no longer be glorified. Create brilliant games without draining your creative minds and calling it an ‘achievement.'”

The co-founder of Rockstar Games, Dan Houser, stated in an interview that the developers of Red Dead Redemption 2 had to work 100 hours a week multiple times a year. After a strong backlash from the gaming community, Houser is now backtracking.
It is a phenomenon known in the gaming industry as “crunching.” This refers to the time just before a game’s release when many employees have to put in massive overtime. It is a well-known problem in the gaming industry and is often criticized because it has previously led to the deaths of developers due to exhaustion.
Houser makes a new statement: This statement from Houser did not sit well with the gaming community and other developers. After harsh criticism, the co-founder of Rockstar Games is now backtracking. With a new statement, he clarifies that he was only referring to the Senior Writer Team of Rockstar:
“We always do this, three weeks of intense work when we are finishing everything. Three weeks, not three years. […] We need this time to review and finalize everything.”
The US Senior Community Manager of Final Fantasy XIV, Chenin, shares this opinion as well. She posted on her Twitter: “This is not admirable. This is how the space level went without wings: The player was able to walk through the space level completely without an Archwing, jumping, shooting, and sliding around. Unfortunately, there was no way to change altitude. Therefore, he was doomed to stroll around on an invisible, flat surface at the lower level edge.
Fans wanted this for a long time, but not like this: Curiously, such space excursions have long been the dream of many Warframe players. Because the Archwing is too static and linear for many fans.
Excalibur takes on a giant Fomorian battleship of the Grineer
You only zoom through fairly linear levels, instead of enjoying the otherwise dynamic Space Ninja gameplay of Warframe in space.
If you could navigate in space as agile as in the other Warframe levels, it would be a better experience for many fans. They just need to find a way to change altitude.
Anyone who wants to try the “spacewalk” can currently just start the space mission on Earth without having an Archwing. Have fun!
Space battles as hope: For space fans, further goodies are announced in 2019:
What happened in Warframe? A player intended to complete all missions in Warframe in the area of the Old Earth. He had finished everything except for the Archwing mission. These are missions where you zoom through space with a powered jetpack shooting down enemies.
Space mission without a vehicle? However, the player hadn’t unlocked the vehicle yet. Unfortunately, you only get the Archwing after a rather lengthy mission chain. But the player was optimistic and simply clicked on the button to start the Archwing mission.
What could possibly happen?
Strolling in Space
Bug allows spacewalk: The player was quite astonished when the mission started anyway. He initially expected to receive a placeholder Archwing, but nothing of the sort happened.
The game simply sent his Warframe into space. Without an Archwing, but running on an invisible ground.

The online shooter The Division 2 will take place in Washington D.C., the capital of the United States. Now there are images of the complete map, including the different areas of the city.
The Division 2 moves the setting from the wintry New York to the midsummer Washington D.C. and aims to provide players with a believable game world. We have now gotten a glimpse of the entire map from the Ubiday in Japan.
The 6 different areas of D.C.
Unlike the first part, Washington D.C. is not only divided into individual neighborhoods or blocks, but also by the theme of each area. The greater variety is intended to make the city a main character in The Division 2.
These are the different regions in The Division 2:
Suburbs: This area is marked in yellow. Here are the houses of the upper class, many of whom had to leave their belongings behind. Here, one can see in the houses how people had to flee in a hurry.
Commercial Areas: These areas are marked in purple. In these parts of the city, there are malls, supermarkets, and all other types of stores. These have been particularly hard hit by looting.
Historic Districts: These extend through a large part of the map. Here you can find historic buildings like the Lincoln Memorial and former institutions that also played a role during the catastrophe.
Government District: In these, blue-marked, neighborhoods lie the buildings of the US government, such as the White House.
Residential Areas: The red part of the map represents the residential areas. Visually, this area is closest to Manhattan. Here, many residents tried to barricade themselves in their apartments.
Nature: Washington D.C. also has forests and jungle-like areas to offer. These are marked in green on the map.
As the map shows, a few regions stretch across the map; they are not strictly separated.
Today there is an update for Fortnite. We are looking at the patch notes in German and seeing: There are indeed significantly more features than expected.
The update today brings quite a lot of new things to Fortnite. There are some features that we have known for a while that Epic has been working on. From today, players with a PS4 Pro and a 4k TV will be able to see the game in 1440p instead of 1080p.
Furthermore, small objects should no longer prevent trap placements.
Highlights of Patch Notes 6.10 for Fortnite Battle Royale
Change to Disco Dominance: In the game mode, there are now fewer bandages and no common weapons (gray) anymore. Additionally, the “side dance floors” are supposed to move closer to the storm edge, and the maximum respawn distance decreases.
Change to Items:
Currently, the Backpack is disabled, which is why the drop rate of the smaller backpack is increased from 3.05% to 4.89%
The guided missile will no longer fly in the wrong direction
And weapon equip animation will no longer be skipped if someone is simultaneously sprinting and aiming
New Vehicle: The Quad Ram is coming, it accommodates 2 players. The Quad Ram collects boost while driving, and this boost can then be ignited by pressing a button and ramming buildings. Additionally, players can be rammed and pushed away.
The Quad Ram can also take off and glide through the air when boosted over a cliff or a ram.
Controller Players Celebrate This Change
Many More Controller Settings: In the “Edit Controls” window, there are significantly more options, so you can now separate changes to combat controls from those to building controls. Furthermore, you can set the controller sensitivity for building mode in the options menu.
This change is currently being enthusiastically celebrated by fans. “Epic has delivered,” it is said on reddit.
Play me the Song of Victory: When a player achieves an epic victory, the music they selected in the locker will play.
Online Tournaments for Everyone Coming to Fortnite
Tournaments are Coming: In the new Event tab, there is the tournament feature. Players should find a series of online tournaments here in which anyone can participate. Here players can earn points over several hours while participating in a tournament.
Players will compete in a match against other participants with similar points. Each new tournament starts with 0 points and players start from scratch.
As a reward, “golden awards” await. In the future, Epic Games is also promising “prizes.” They plan to expand the system.
Highlights of Patch Notes 6.10 for “Save the World”
New Power Level Restriction: When you are in a group, it depends on whether the group is set to “Public” or “Private.” In “Public,” the power level of the weakest member of your group counts. In “Private,” the level of your group leader counts. This change has been introduced here on MeinMMO.
The aim of the changes is to prevent weaker players from sneaking into missions and being carried by other, unfamiliar teammates.
All Plankerton missions have a minimum requirement.
New Mission Type “Beta Storms”: These are new limited-time missions. It begins with “Data Acquisition” – an external storm approaches the mission object. This makes the playing field gradually smaller.
The mission lasts 20 minutes. This special beta storm is in the game until 6.20. After that, further mission types are to be tested.
Totengräber
Weapons in the Shop:
The Rattenkönig is an assault rifle – a semi-automatic shotgun that fires hefty bullets.
The Grave Digger Assault Rifle fires medium ammunition and deals high damage.
No More Duplicate Mythic Leaders: Additionally, duplicate avoidance among mythic survivors is active.
When Fortnite: Save the World could become free, we outlined in this article:
A special four-legged friend causes a mix of fear, frustration, and sympathy among players in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The new Call of Duty currently has a massive dog problem.
The specialist Nomad can unleash a combat dog on the enemies in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. However, this very four-legged friend is currently heating up the emotions of the players. It feels terrible to be torn to pieces by the dog, but killing the dog feels even worse.
A dog drives Black Ops 4 players crazy
How does one get the dog? Dogs have existed in Call of Duty as a score streak before. In the multiplayer of Black Ops 4, it is Nomad’s special ability, so you do not need to be on a kill streak to deploy the dog in Black Ops 4. Accordingly, you often face the four-legged friend in multiplayer matches – even when the opposing team is being completely dominated.
This is how the dog causes trouble: The integration of the dog into the game currently feels far from optimal. Particularly the fact that you need considerable amounts of ammunition to take down the beast causes frustration and anger. The dog is like a sponge for bullets. Some players have already remarked that they would like to have armor like the dog – it is probably the best in the game.
Additionally, the dog is smaller than an opponent and can often only be spotted late – often too late. Because once the four-legged friend gets close to you, it’s basically over.
There is also sympathy for the dog: Nevertheless, some players find it hard to send the killing machine to the virtual doggy heaven – and not just because the dog is a bullet sponge. The whimpering sound the dog makes when it dies is truly heart-wrenching and makes it hard for some dog lovers among the players.
It almost feels like the developers tried to create an emotional barrier here. The dog is one of the biggest threats in multiplayer, but when you eliminate this threat, you apparently should feel as bad as possible.
A fan humorously remarked in a discussion on Reddit: “Shoot a rocket launcher at it – that helps drown out the sound.”
This is how players are currently solving the dog problem: You can only partially defend against the combat dog. However, even killing the dog is difficult for some players. Therefore, a widely adopted solution in the community is:
Players often see no other option but to resign themselves to their fate. Only a few manage to take down the dog or escape from it with a lot of luck before it leaps at their throat.
How can Treyarch solve the dog problem? Almost all fans agree that something must change regarding the current state of the Nomad dog. Many players believe that a significant intervention is not even necessary.
Only the health points or the armor of the dog need to be reduced – and for animal lovers, the sound when dying. This way, it would still remain an effective weapon and could secure some extra kills. But as an opponent, players would have a fair chance to defend themselves against this killing machine. The developers definitely need to improve on this in the future.
Niantic has confirmed the exclusive move of Metagross for the Community Day in October in Pokémon GO
Community Day with Beldum: In just a few days, on October 21, the new Community Day will take place. This time, the day revolves around the Steel/Psychic Pokémon Beldum from the 3rd generation. The evolution Metagross can learn the special Steel move Meteor Mash on this day.
Metagross can learn Meteor Mash
Niantic usually waits some time before announcing the special move. It is always revealed just before the Community Day. However, data miners found early first hints about the Meteor Mash move.
Can be learned even after Community Day: This time, players can also teach the special move to the Pokémon even after the three hours of the Community Day. Up to one hour after the event ends, Beldum can learn the move Meteor Mash upon evolving into Metagross. Until now, players had to evolve the event Pokémon during the three event hours to learn the exclusive move.
What can the new move do? Meteor Mash is a charged move with two bars.
The community speculates: The move will make Metagross better. The best moveset of Metagross so far was Bullet Punch and Flash Cannon for Steel type. This could be replaced by the new move Meteor Mash.
With the moveset Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash, Metagross will be a good all-rounder.
Information about Community Day
Shiny Beldum, Metang and Metagross – Source: Pokémon Blog
When does the Community Day start? The Community Day starts on Sunday, October 21, at 11 AM and runs for three hours. Players can still use the hour afterwards to evolve to Metagross.
What bonuses are there? Beldum will spawn everywhere. It is the special Pokémon of the day. The lure modules will last three hours again, and trainers only need to walk a quarter of the distance to hatch eggs.
Shiny Beldum? As in previous Community Days, trainers will likely have the chance to obtain the shiny form of the event Pokémon.
