InFortnite: Battle Royale Season 7 is finally here and it has the potential to rock Fortnite like never before. These 5 highlights are sure to contribute significantly.
Season 7 is different in many ways from the previous 6. This is primarily due to the sheer amount of changes involving airplanes, a significantly larger map, and unprecedented customization options.
This is why Season 7 is something special!
In the following paragraphs, we will introduce you to the five most significant innovations in Season 7. These highlights make Season 7 something special.
Airplanes
What exactly are airplanes in Fortnite? Airplanes are a completely new vehicle in Fortnite. They are biplanes that allow you to zoom through the skies. Additionally, the planes come equipped with a machine gun that can fire indefinitely as long as it does not overheat. Up to 4 passengers can also join the flight.
What’s so cool about airplanes? First of all, airplanes are the first flying vehicles in the game. They also have the highest passenger capacity and are armed. This has not been the case before.
With the airplane, Fortnite becomes a completely different game, as you can be shot at from the air at any time by a pilot. And in the air, daring pilots engage in wild dogfights.
The landing spot for the planes at Frosty Flights should always be heavily contested, as there are only a few airplanes, and whoever has one has a significant advantage. At least until the first counters to airplanes are established.
Completely new map area
What exactly has changed? The familiar Fortnite island has been expanded with a new ice biome and 3 new locations. Additionally, old locations and the entire terrain have been significantly altered. There’s also a new mode of transportation.
What’s so cool about the new map? The best part about the new map is that it is really a kind of new map! Because up until now, changes have only rearranged the existing land masses. The most drastic changes were the transformation of Moisty Mire in the southeast into Paradise Palms and the transformation of Loot Lake in Season 6.
With the iceberg, even more land has been added to Fortnite, and with the locations Polar Peak, Happy Hamlet, and Frosty Flights, three interesting new POIs have been introduced.
In return, familiar places like Greasy Grove and Flush Factory have completely disappeared and are unrecognizable.
Item Paint Jobs
What are paint jobs? These are a new form of item customization. You can set the paint jobs for each type of weapon (shotguns, pistols, assault rifles, etc.) and for vehicles in your locker. When you find such an item, it will have the color or pattern you set with the paint jobs.
Why are paint jobs cool? With the paint jobs, you can further enhance your style. While you cannot create completely custom weapon skins like in Call of Duty, you can finally roam around with a bright red assault rifle or Christmas camouflage on the SCAR, making Fortnite even more colorful.
More customizable skins than ever before
What skins are available? In the new Battle Pass, there are seven new skins. Among them, four are customizable. In Season 6, there were only two. The customizable outfits are the two level 1 skins Lynx and Zenith, Sergeant Winter, and the Ice King.

What’s so great about the customizations this time? Customizable skins are always cool as they provide an additional reward effect and incentive to play. In Season 7, however, you level each skin differently. Only Lynx and Zenith can be upgraded with experience points.
Sergeant Winter levels up via completed daily challenges, and the Ice King only changes when you survive numerous opponents. A welcome change from the constant XP grind of previous seasons.
New Story
What is known about the story? After the somewhat annoying endless confusion surrounding the purple cube from previous seasons, something new has finally happened in Fortnite. There’s an ice area with a mysterious castle, an evil Santa Claus, robots, and a dark Ice King.
What’s so great about the new story? The new story is largely unknown, which makes it special. There’s something new to unravel and numerous clues to follow. The new area is vast and full of mysteries.
What’s the deal with the ice castle? Why is there a submarine on one of the peaks? What does the base have to do with the logo of the robot A.I.M. and what has happened to Durrr-Burger since it was engulfed by ice?
Will the ice melt over time and reveal a dark secret? And what the hell does the butterfly event from Season 6 have to do with it? It’s going to be more exciting than ever.
On a website, Funcom Oslo, the studio behind Conan Exiles, is advertising the unveiling of a new Conan game. What you can expect from the new game can be found here.
This is happening right now: On the website “conancountdown.com”, a countdown is ticking down, which will expire on Saturday, December 8th at 10 AM PST (7 PM in Germany).
At the end of the countdown, there will be a “Showcase” on the Twitch stream of Kinda Funny Games, where a new Conan game is set to be revealed.

What we already know: In the financial report for the first quarter of 2018, Funcom talked about the current status and outlined future plans. Two of these new plans involved new games in the universe of Conan the Barbarian.

Fans have encountered a massive puzzle in the new premium DLC “The Black Armory,” which is currently engaging numerous Guardians in Destiny 2. What is behind it?

Fans encounter a massive puzzle in the Volundr Forge
What is the puzzle about? As part of the first quest from the new DLC The Black Armory, Guardians are drawn into the first of four forges – the Volundr Forge. This must be ignited so that players can forge new weapons from the Black Armory arsenal and progress in the new content.

However, after the Guardians unlocked the first firearm in the forge, they discovered a series of mysterious symbols, letters, runes, and entire runic scripts that had previously remained hidden. These adorn the Volundr Forge as well as numerous objects and surfaces in the immediate vicinity.

The new weapons are the key: The key to discovering the massive puzzle was the new weapons of the Black Armory, more specifically the first one – the heavy machine gun Hammerhead, which is awarded after the first completion of the forge.

Looking through the sights of the weapon makes the hidden symbols visible. However, they cannot be seen with regular weapons or even with the naked eye. This is apparently only possible with weapons crafted in the forge. Moreover, one must also use the sight device.
There is also a strange animation or effect when shooting some of these symbols through the sights of the corresponding weapon. What this means is still unknown. So far, it hasn’t caused any effect yet.

What do all the characters mean? This is still unknown. Although the community is diligently working on solving it, a solution has not yet been found. The first clues currently suggest that it could be a kind of map coded with real Nordic runes.

The Winter Wonderland event 2018 in Overwatch is starting soon. As every year, there are event game modes and new skins. The first new skin has been revealed by Blizzard.
This new skin appears: The first skin shown for Overwatch for Winter Wonderland 2018 is the legendary skin “Snowboarder Zarya.” This was recently tweeted by Blizzard.
Zarya’s Snowboarder skin features a snow suit with a bear hat and a stubby tail, as well as a backpack with a polar bear charm. The inscription on the side of the particle cannon in snow cannon style means “Blizzard” in Russian, according to some users.

The trainer battles in Pokémon GO have not yet been released, but we already know what rewards await the players. The Sinnoh Stone is one of the rewards you get.
We will reveal to you why this stone is so important and why it fits ideally as a reward.
What makes the Sinnoh Stone so special? The Sinnoh Stone allows any Pokémon from the first three generations to evolve into their evolution from the 4th generation. Many of these Pokémon are extremely strong and of great importance in Pokémon GO. Therefore, the Sinnoh Stone is so important, because without it you won’t get these strong Pokémon.
Can you get the Sinnoh Stone in PvP? The Sinnoh Stone is one of the rewards from trainer battles. It doesn’t matter whether you won or lost, you can always receive the Sinnoh Stone.
Is the Sinnoh Stone rare as a reward? Since the trainer battles have not yet been released, nothing can be said about that. What other rewards are there? In the test version, there was also stardust as a reward. Not exactly little of it either. So what’s better than evolving your Pokémon with the Sinnoh Stone and then strengthening them right away? There were no other rewards. Whether these will be added with the release of the battles remains to be seen.
Nevertheless, the Sinnoh Stone is a brilliant reward for the trainer battles. We can be curious about how often the stone will be available.
InFortnite: Battle Royale still does not have a new map, but the existing map is hardly recognizable. Due to the iceberg, it is a good deal larger and partially covered in snow.
How has the map changed in Season 7? The Fortnite map has been rebuilt repeatedly but has always remained the same size. That has now changed in Season 7. The new map is still the familiar island, but in the southwest, a new iceberg has crashed into the island and significantly expanded it.

Greasy Grove
This is what the location looks like: This location has been completely covered in ice and snow and is no longer considered a POI (Point of Interest) in Season 7. Only a few buildings still protrude from the ice and can be entered if you break the roofs. The Durrr Burger shop is entirely buried under an indestructible iceberg.
Flush Factory
This is what the location looks like: Here too, the iceberg crash has completely devastated the place and buried it under ice and snow. The toilet factory only barely protrudes as a small peak where the parachute from A.I.M. is still hanging. Flush Factory is also no longer a named POI.
Viking Village
This is what the location looks like: The Viking village still does not have an official name. It continues to exist and now features a frozen river where you can skate.
Polar Peak
This is what the location looks like: This POI is the center of the new map and consists of a high peak of ice and snow, from which a fortress juts out. The fortress was already visible in Season 6 and is likely the refuge of the new Ultimo skin Ice King. From Frost Peak, zip lines lead back into the valley.
Happy Hamlet
This is what the location looks like: A new location has emerged in the south. It looks like a Christmas-themed European village. You can find a clock tower there, as well as many houses and winding streets.
Frosty Flights
This is what the location looks like: This new location is an outpost of the A.I.M. robots, as it bears their emblem. It is likely a sort of Arctic expedition outpost with hangars. There you can find the new planes.
Skin Course
This is what the location looks like: This location between Polar Peak and Frosty Flights is not a named POI. But you can find a ski track and inactive ski lifts there. Perhaps you will be able to snowboard here later, as hinted at in a teaser.
Zip Lines and Ice
This is how ice surfaces work: In the new ice biome, there are frozen surfaces here and there. When you walk out onto them, you get an effect like that of the now-removed cold trap. You slide around and retain that effect for a few seconds after leaving the surface.
This is how zip lines work: You can also find the new zip lines in the ice biome. You just have to jump towards them. Then you ride to the next station of the taut line. This works uphill as well. You can jump off at any time and use weapons.
Tips for the FIFA 19 Squad Building Challenges: With this method, you can complete any league SBC, earn coins in the process, and get special player cards.
These are League SBCs: The Squad Building Challenges themed around leagues, also called “League SBCs”, require quite a bit from you: Depending on which league SBC you choose, you need to exchange a squad for each team in the league.
In the case of the Bundesliga, that means a total of 18 squads, while the Premier League requires 20. The Scottish Premiership, however, only needs 12 squads to complete. Throughout the year, new league SBCs are released regularly.
These are the rewards: Solving the challenges can be worthwhile: As a group reward for each league SBC, you receive a player pick. This means you can choose one of two special cards from the league at the end of the challenge. In the Bundesliga, for example, you can choose between Serge Gnabry and Daniel Caligiuri.
Exciting rewards in other leagues: Other leagues offer, for example, an 87-rated Dzeko (Serie A), 87-rated Thauvin (Ligue 1), 85-rated Rooney (MLS), or 84-rated Podolski (J1 League) – so it pays to look beyond your own league. Furthermore, for each individual task within the SBCs, you will receive packs or coin rewards. Check here which league interests you most and which players you can use best.
This is how you complete every league SBC
League SBCs in five steps: On reddit, the user “ImADuckQuakk”, who is also known as a FIFA YouTuber, has developed a basic method for how you can successfully complete any league SBC and earn coins along the way. This is based on the sniping approach, which you can also find in our trading tips.
Step 1: Choose a league. Decide which league SBC you want to do before you start trading on the transfer market. Then switch to the transfer market – this is possible not only on console but also via web app or companion app. In our example, we chose the MLS. A total of 23 clubs must be exchanged here.
Step 2: Set up search filters. Now it’s time to set the right filters for sniping. Since you want to spend as few coins as possible, the players need to be bought at the cheapest price. Set the following filters:
League: Your chosen league (in our case MLS)
Rarity: Silver
Buy Now Price: 300
Caution: These filters do not work the same in every league. In larger leagues like the Bundesliga or the Premier League, you should set the rarity to Gold and the Buy Now Price to around 400 coins, as the challenges have higher requirements. If you are not suggested too few players, set the Buy Now Price a bit higher.
Step 3: Get them all! Now buy every player that is displayed to you via Buy Now. Since you have to complete SBCs for all the clubs anyway, it doesn’t matter which player from the league you get. This may require some practice: At first, other players will snap up the cheap cards before you. Don’t let that discourage you: Practice makes perfect.
The key is to get the cards at the cheapest price. Then, duplicates, i.e., players bought in duplicates, are not a problem: these are the players with whom you later earn your money. Now repeat Steps 2 and 3 as often as necessary until you have a whole bunch of players.
Tip: Are you only being offered goalkeepers? Set the chemistry style in the search filters to “Basic” – now all goalkeepers will be filtered out of the search results.
Step 4: Organize and sell. Now you should have a club full of players from your chosen league. It’s time to organize: Move all the players that you don’t have duplicates of to your club – you need these to complete the SBC.
Put all duplicates back on the transfer market. Set a slightly higher price: Since you sniped the player at the lowest price, you should be able to sell them for a profit. It’s all about the volume: The more players you resell, the more profit you make. Another good measure to earn coins is smart trading with the TOTW.
Step 5: Buy the missing players. After you have set your players in the league SBC, some will still be missing. You can now buy the missing players with the money you earned from the sales and complete the challenges. With a little luck, you’ll pull good cards from the reward packs and can sell them for a good price as well. Repeat this for all league SBCs that interest you.
Things to keep in mind
Time-intensive method: Sniping and the profitable sale of players require a lot of patience and, above all, time. Sniping in particular can be frustrating when other players snap up the cheap players right in front of you or there are simply no promising players available. Try again at a different time if nothing is working out.
Furthermore, the general rule is: The stronger the league, the longer it takes to finish the SBC. Also, the stronger leagues are, logically, more expensive.
Market ban possible: There have been instances where sniping players get temporarily banned from the market because they bid on too many players. The game then suspects a bot. So there’s a small risk of being banned for a short time – but this didn’t happen with the method described here.

How to find the mysterious chest
The chest was initially discovered during the first quest from the Black Armory. However, you do not need to be on this quest line to collect the Mysterious Box. You can get the chest at any time.
Here you find the Völundr Forge
Here’s how to find the mysterious chest: To get to the chest, you need to go to the Völundr Forge in the EDZ on Earth. Fly to the “Sunken Isles” area in the EDZ. Once you spawn there, turn left and follow the rock wall until you reach the tunnel entrance.

Enter the tunnel and follow its path until you reach the first large room. There you need to continue through the hallway on the right side of the room.

This will lead you directly to the forge – even without the corresponding quest.

Continue to follow the tunnel until you arrive at an open cave. Then walk left along the rock wall until you see some crates and equipment ahead of you.

In front of you is a small, dark cave. Go inside. There you will find a chest from the Black Armory.

The first exotic quest of the Black Armory
What is the mysterious chest? The mysterious chest represents the first step of a new quest. What will be given as a reward is not yet known. However, since it is an exotic quest, the reward at the end will also be exotic. Some fans suspect the new exotic fusion rifle Jötunn as a prize.
What is the quest about? The quest requires the Guardians to unlock the four locks of the chest. There are:
The Hook lock
The Butterfly lock
The Hand lock
The “Black Armory” lock
Further hints are provided neither by the chest itself nor by its description.

How does the first step of the exotic quest go? Meanwhile, clever Guardians have figured out how to open the first lock. You unlock the Hook lock by shutting down two shield drones during the new “Forging the Chain” activity in the Völundr Forge.
So head into the Völundr Forge and complete the first round. The two blue drones will appear in the first 10 seconds of the second round/wave of the fight. One of them appears near the trees outside the cave.

For the other, you just need to turn around 180 degrees and look into the cave. There, the small blue drone is hard to miss.

When you take them out, you will receive the message Maximum Hardness on the left edge of the screen. This indicates that you have destroyed both drones. Now you must survive the match successfully. If you die, you will have to take out the drones again.
This chest you must open
Once you send the boss to the virtual afterlife, a chest from the Black Armory will appear in the middle of the room near the forge apparatus. Open it and you will receive a “Black Armory” key. Activate the key in your inventory. This will unlock the Hook lock of the mysterious chest.
What happens next with the quest? This is currently not known. However, fans speculate that each of the four lost forges will yield a key.
The symbols of the forges
For three forges have the Hook (now at Völundr), the Butterfly, and the Hand as symbols. The fourth forge, the Niobe Labs, will probably then provide the “Black Armory” key.

Epic has announced that they will be launching their own online game store as an alternative to Steam. The new Epic store has been developed by none other than the creator of the site “Steam Spy”. He is now talking about Epic’s goals and his experiences with developers.
What happened? A few days ago, Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, dropped a bombshell. They are working on an online store, which is set to compete with the gaming giant Steam. In the process, Epic took pointed and confident jabs at Valve, who takes a 20% – 25% cut from the sales of games.
A man named Sergey Galyonkin, known to many through his statistics page “Steam Spy,” has worked on the development of Epic’s store. Since 2015, Galyonkin has been collecting, analyzing, and compiling statistics from publicly available data from Steam and has been very successful until recently.
According to his own statements, he has been working on the Epic shop project for years. However, when Galyonkin launched his Steam Spy page, he was not yet involved with Epic. The joke behind the name is therefore unintentional.
Learning from Steam’s mistakes
Hardly anyone outside of Valve is as familiar with Steam as Galyonkin. In developing the concept for the Epic store, he primarily consulted developers: “I spoke with hundreds of developers to find out what they like and dislike about existing digital stores.”
This is how Epic plans to combat review bombing: Conversations with various devs have led to the conclusion that the new store will not include social features like forums. On Steam, these features create an extremely toxic environment. Therefore, the Epic store will initially launch with a ticket system.
Players will be able to send their complaints and comments directly to the developers, allowing the developers to have direct contact with their communities. Actions like the infamous review bombing are expected to be prevented as a result.
This is how Epic plans to tackle clutter: According to Galyonkin, another issue with Steam is its terrible organization. “It feels less like an online store from 2018 and more like a closet stuffed with games.
