The patch 7.20 has brought several new features to Fortnite. The map has also undergone some revisions.
What's new: The new patch from Fortnite brings not only new weapons or skins. The entire map in Fortnite is dotted with innovations. Numerous locations have received changes or new buildings.
We provide you with an overview of the innovations and reveal what has changed.
What's new on the Fortnite map
Almost every area on the large map of Fortnite has small or large innovations. We will now walk you through each location and present the changes.
That cannot be missed: The biggest surprise is likely a giant ice ball hovering over Polar Peak. It reminds players a bit of the mysterious cube that hovered over Loot Lake at the end of Season 6.
This ice ball hovers high in the sky and can only be reached by building up. As you approach the ball, your screen freezes, and you can hardly see anything. Additionally, this ball emits strange noises.
You can now discover: The giant castle, which was initially covered in ice, is slowly melting. You can now discover new rooms under the castle and also find dragon eggs.
Tilted Towers
Construction continues here: The large building in Tilted Towers, which has been under construction since day 1, is nearing completion. The exterior walls are now up, and there have been several changes inside as well.
No one knows exactly when the building will be completed. However, it looks like it could be finished in one of the next updates.
Paradise Palms
What's new: A new building has emerged very close to Paradise Palms, right in the desert biome. The diner named “SoFDeeZ” now stands lonely on a road.
It remains to be seen whether this building will play a role at some point. Perhaps one will soon have to complete a weekly task here.
Wailing Woods
Check this out: Near Wailing Woods, there is now a giant woman made of stone. She seems to be the counterpart to the male golem, which regularly moves around the map.
The stone woman could also be interesting for weekly tasks. Recently, one had to search for a treasure near the stone man.
Which change do you like best?
Together with the new patch, an iceberg has melted on the map of Fortnite, revealing an interesting bunker:
If you watch the professional guilds of World of Warcraft playing, you might wonder. Because almost all of them only take one armor class with them.
These are the last days in World of Warcraft before the start of Season 2 and the opening of the raid “Battle of Dazar’Alor.” While most players are sitting on “hot coals” and looking forward to the start of the new raid, professional raiders are still in stress. The reason for this is the Titan Residuum, which makes “Split Raiding” a necessity again.
What happened? Players receive Titan Residuum when they disassemble Azerite gear. This material is needed to be able to buy the best Azerite gear from a vendor. Since prices are very high, large amounts of Titan Residuum are needed and therefore many Azerite items to disassemble.
Professional raiders therefore engage in what is called “Split Raiding.” They take only a handful of their main characters into the raid and fill the rest with secondary characters. Loot from the secondary characters is given to the main characters so that they can generate Titan Residuum from it.
Hotfix brought absolutely nothing: With a hotfix, the developers of World of Warcraft have now tried to limit farming a little. Therefore, cloth wearers (like mages) no longer receive Titan Residuum when disassembling armor for plate wearers in the scrapper.
Professional guilds like Method have already found a new response to this: They only take players of the same armor class. For example, the players of Method raid with 23 cloth wearers and only 2 tanks deviate from this. This way, all loot can be funneled to one or two characters, who can then convert it back into Titan Residuum.
This approach is repeated by the professional guilds with all armor categories (cloth, leather, chain, plate) for the maximum yield of the most important characters. They see it as a necessity to optimally start in the new raid.
With the storyline around Elsweyr and the dragons, Zenimax aims to introduce a new type of storytelling into the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online.
The Season of the Dragon already shows the direction the journey is taking. The entire year of 2019 will focus on this theme. This is reminiscent of the Living Story from Guild Wars 2, which is also told in seasons with interconnected episodes.
A large, cohesive story
What is different compared to 2018? With the Elsweyr storyline, the developers of ESO will tell a cohesive story throughout the entire year. All DLCs released by the end of 2019 will revolve around this theme. This theme focuses on:
The land of Elsweyr
The people of Khajiit
The necromancers
The dragons
Zenimax wants to provide you with a storytelling method similar to that found in Netflix series. When you watch a season of a series there, it usually has a continuous theme, as seen in Star Trek: Discovery. The first season of the series revolves around the war against the Klingons. The soon-to-start second season will take up a new theme.
And just like in a Netflix series, the zone guide in Elsweyr will remember where you left off in the story when you log out and will lead you back to the current story quest immediately when you log back in.
How has it been so far? In the past year 2018, the ESO DLCs released were:
Thematically, there was basically no connection between the stories of the expansions. As a player, you essentially jumped from one small or sometimes larger story to the next. It lacked the feeling of pursuing an epic story.
What does the new narrative structure bring? Zenimax has the opportunity to tell a more epic and longer story through the “season”, which can be developed more profoundly. The threat will not be resolved relatively quickly.
Additionally, this storytelling method keeps players engaged longer, as the tension builds throughout the year leading up to the grand finale.
Is there still much to discover on the side? Despite the focus on a cohesive storyline, you will still find much more in Elsweyr and the DLCs this year. Because aside from the main quests, there’s, of course, plenty to explore and experience.
Whether this type of storytelling will also be maintained in ESO in 2020 is something Zenimax has not revealed in our interview yet. However, it’s an exciting innovation for the MMORPG that many players have wished for.
There is little gameplay to see of the new MMO New World. The game hasn’t properly launched yet. However, for the past few days, snippets can be followed on Twitter. Together with the community, the developers are building an interactive story. The first story did not end well.
What is happening on Twitter? On January 3rd, New World published a tweet showing a short video of a newly created character sitting by a campfire.
In a survey, they wanted to know from the community where the journey should go. Options were inland or the beach. The players chose the beach.
From there, further small videos and related surveys followed. Depending on what the majority of players chose, the story continued in new branches.
After a long and eventful journey, you find yourself on the shores of the mysterious island of Terra Vitae Aeternum.
You’ve managed to build yourself a fire, but you’ve no food, nor supplies to fashion rudimentary tools with.
How did the first story end? In the third survey, players chose to attack a monster instead of fleeing from it. The monster defeated the player.
The developers then stated that attacking without armor and only with a wooden sword was very reckless.
You valiantly leap forward to meet your foe!
You quickly realize, however, that you are outmatched. You’re using a wooden sword. You have no armor. As you fall, you wonder why you possibly thought this was a good idea…
Do players make the same mistake in the second story?
Meanwhile, the developers have started a second story. This is currently ongoing, and you can still help decide the outcome.
Support from the developers: In the second tweet about the new story, the developers have eliminated a source of error. They have condemned the character to farm materials and equip themselves.
You decide that being properly equipped is the better part of valor and set out to craft armor and a stronger weapon.
Time passes, resources are harvested, the local wildlife is bested in battle – You have your gear! pic.twitter.com/ucNpuIIFBV
Will the outpost be our death? However, already in the subsequent survey, the community gets to decide again. Do they prefer to explore the north or enter the outpost directly ahead.
Currently, the outpost is leading in the survey. Let’s hope that not the next overpowering enemy awaits there.
New Alpha Invitations
Amazon also announced via Twitter that a new wave of invitations for the alpha has been sent out. If you would like to sign up for the alpha as well, you can find all important information here.
The alpha is under NDA: The alpha is under strict NDA, and much has not yet surfaced. Only one alpha player has revealed to an Italian website more about the MMO and possible RPG elements.
Fans are now drawing Rockstar’s attention to an issue with the cars in GTA 5 Online. Here’s what it’s about.
What happened? New vehicles are regularly released in GTA Online that players can purchase. However, the latest releases have different driving behavior than before. They handle erratically, easily lose control, and become uncontrollable at high speeds.
Now there is a petition intended to make Rockstar aware that players are dissatisfied with the changes.
Vehicle issues with 36 cars in GTA – Signatures should help
The demand of the initiative: On the platform Change.org, YouTuber Broughy1322 demands that the handling of 36 cars in GTA Online be revised. Specifically, the “strAdvancedFlags” should be removed. These are lines in the vehicle code that directly affect driving behavior.
Broughy1322 is well-known in the GTA community. He tests all cars thoroughly and demonstrates in his videos which are the best vehicles. He is regarded as an expert.
Then the problems began: Broughy writes: “When the San Andreas Super Sports Series DLC was released in March 2018, many new cars were introduced to the game. These vehicles were different from the ones that had been released in the last four and a half years, as there are new handling files (the files used to control and program the performance of cars), namely ‘strAdvancedFlags.’
This is how the poor driving behavior manifests: He states that 36 cars from the last three GTA DLCs have these new AdvancedFlags. Every car with these AdvancedFlags displays characteristics that lead to strange engine physics.
The gears shift slowly, and the RPMs would exceed the limit for several seconds before shifting. The new characteristics result in unpredictable suspension, causing cars to bounce easily. This, in turn, leads to a terrible driving experience on the bumpy roads of Los Santos and Blaine County.
A key point for the petition was the release of the Itali GTO. We presented it to you here as a beautiful, erratic luxury vehicle:
How big is the problem? This is how the Itali GTO handles in the online mode of GTA 5. It is uncontrollable in corners, and when hitting a slight bump, the car literally jumps. Every player thus has access to this driving behavior:

This is how the problem was solved: Players from the GTA community found ways to try the Itali GTO in single-player with mods. They disabled the AdvancedFlags and immediately found better handling.

The goal of the petition: With the gathering of signatures, Broughy wants to show the developers how unhappy players are that the multi-million cars exhibit such driving behavior. The AdvancedFlags should be removed from the 36 affected cars and also kept away from future vehicle releases.
Even the latest vehicle, the Tulip Muscle Car, is said to be affected by these issues. Broughy tested the car and writes: If you hit a bump with two wheels on one side, the vehicle steers in that direction. Now, cars not only fly but also steer themselves.
The decline of Artifact just won’t stop. Only a fraction of the former players logs into the card game regularly.
A little over a year ago, Artifact was seen as the “next big thing” in the digital card game scene. It aimed to be a real competitor for games like Hearthstone, Magic, or Shadowverse. However, that dream now seems to be fading. In less than two months, Artifact has lost nearly 97% of its players.
What happened? When Artifact launched in November 2018, the initial hype was huge. Over 60,000 players logged in simultaneously and played the card game. However, these player numbers could not be maintained, and a constant downward trend began. Meanwhile, the numbers of concurrent players have dropped by around 97%. At times, they were just over 1400 players.
What were Artifact’s mistakes? There are many reasons for Artifact’s apparent failure. Firstly, the game presents a significant barrier as it is a paid title that costs €18 – in addition to any further purchases. Cards can be sold to other players, and some cards even cost more than the game itself. This quickly gave Artifact an unfortunate “Pay2Win” reputation that is hard to shake off.
Additionally, Artifact stated at launch that it would “never nerf cards” and then broke that promise.
Too complex and confusing for viewers: Another point may be the complexity of Artifact. Unlike most card games, there are three playing fields (“Lanes”) for each match of Artifact. This makes the game sluggish and difficult for viewers to understand – watching it was simply boring for many.
Whether Artifact will recover from this low point is questionable. The community is already speculating that a transition to Free2Play might be the only way to boost player numbers again.
What is your opinion on Artifact? Do you still play the card game regularly? Or are you one of the 97% who have already thrown in the towel?
There are new raid bosses in Pokémon GO! Among the Pokémon are familiar faces, but also monsters that can be found in raids for the first time.
The Hoenn event in Pokémon GO is ongoing, and along with it, there are also new raid bosses. The Pokémon come from Generation 3, and you’ll have many opportunities to catch Shinys.
We will show you a complete list and tell you which counters you need to use.
These raid bosses are now new
What are the raids about? All the raids come from Generation 3. They fit perfectly with the Hoenn event. The Pokémon are of many different types, which makes finding a general counter difficult.
Players are excited about this: On the one hand, a popular raid boss returns with Absol. You can catch it in its shiny version, making it especially sought after. Also, Metagross can now be found in raids for the first time, which is attracting a lot of attention. This powerful Pokémon should definitely not go unnoticed.
Also interesting are Sonnfel and Lunastein. In Europe, you can currently only catch Sonnfel, which makes Lunastein of interest to many players. This Pokémon can only be caught in other parts of the world.
The anticipation for Kyogre and Groudon was high. We tell you why this return was so good:
In this guide, we show you how you can solve the notorious puzzle surrounding the Niobe Labs in Destiny 2 on your own. This is how you can get the special ghost shell and the unique emblem.
What is the puzzle surrounding the Niobe Labs all about? The Niobe Lab puzzle was originally supposed to unlock Bergusia, the fourth and final forge of the Black Armory, once it was solved by the first fireteam.
However, the puzzle turned out to be a tough nut to crack. When it couldn’t be solved after more than 24 hours, Bungie opened the fourth forge themselves.
However, it is still possible for everyone else to solve this puzzle and secure the rewards. Here’s what you need to do.
All 7 Stages of the Niobe Labs – Here’s How
The puzzle runs like this: The puzzle consists of 7 different stages that must be mastered.
In each stage, enemy waves will appear that you must eliminate:
Powerful enemies will spawn more smaller foes until defeated.
Servitors can activate energy fields that will hinder you until the Servitors are taken down.
Additionally, some enemies and mines are protected by shield drones that you must destroy first. Until the drones are destroyed, all enemies in the room are immune.
Additionally, you need to enter one or more codes in each stage by shooting at specific symbols with certain weapons. This is how you progress from wave to wave.
These requirements should be met: You should approach the Niobe Labs with three players. All three should have unlocked the Völundr, the Gofannon, and the Izanami Forge. Moreover, the fireteam should have the following forge weapons available:
the heavy machine gun Hammerhead
the bow The Malicious Tear
and the sniper rifle Tatara’s Sight
Each player should have at least one of these weapons. Only through the scopes of these weapons can certain symbols be identified, which are essential for code entry and thus for progress. You will need all 3 weapons at the same time.
Additionally, the bow player should also have an Arc weapon, the sniper player should have a Void weapon, and the machine gun player should have a Solar weapon.
How to Start the Bypass
To start the mission, you need to head to the Niobe Labs located far south of the EDZ on Earth. There you need to visit the following room of the Niobe Labs, where the puzzle will take place.
Once there, you must first initiate the bypass. You need to quickly shoot 3 symbols in the correct order:
Sniper – Stone
Bow – Wind
MG – Fire
Which weapon you need for which symbol and where you find the corresponding symbols in the room, you can refer to this overview:
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
If you hit the symbol correctly, there will be a special spark animation that signals your hit. Once you have activated the three symbols, the next step follows, where all players can simultaneously enter their codes. Here’s what you need to do now:
Sniper:
Stand on Tiger and shoot at the Fish, Lotus Flower and then at the Temple
Then stand on the Dragon, shoot at the Gate-Bow, Rabbit, Bamboo and then the Temple
Stand on the Fish and shoot at the Lotus Flower
MG:
Stand on the Moon and shoot at T, +, H, R, E, B, F, L, U, +.
Bow:
Stand on Sun, then shoot at the Letter, Trees, Water and Rose
Stand on Wind, then shoot 2x at the Letter
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
Each successful sequence is signaled by a gong. Once all 3 sequences have been entered, the bow player needs to shoot 3x at the Water symbol. After that, the players can activate the switch beneath the platform and start the bypass.
Bypass Level 1
A wave of enemies will spawn. Once you have eliminated them, you need to enter the following code:
Stand with the MG on the Hand and shoot the letters B, U, T, T, E, R, F, L, Y
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
With this, the first stage is completed.
Bypass Level 2
Note: As you progress, more and stronger enemies will appear. So you should bring your best equipment.
Once the second wave has been wiped out, you need to enter the following combination:
MG: Stand on the Hand and shoot at Fire and Storm
Sniper: Stand on the Fish and shoot at Rabbit and Lotus
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
Bypass Level 3
Here too, the key is first to withstand the enemy onslaught. Once you have eliminated all the adds, enter the following code (must be entered simultaneously):
MG: Stand on the Star, shoot at the Fire
Sniper: Stand on the Dragon’s head and shoot at Bamboo
Bow: Stand on Wind and shoot at the Water (next to Letter)
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
Bypass Level 4
If you have problems with the Servitors or the named enemies in between, you can also easily switch your weapons. There are enough enemies and thus usually enough ammunition available, so that your forge weapons are recharged as soon as you switch back.
Once the adds have been eliminated, enter the following:
MG: Shoot while jumping (important, in the air!) at the letters F, L, Y
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
Bypass Level 5
This bypass requires maximum communication, as the code entry alternates between the three players. Once you have cleared the enemies, you must communicate to maintain the following sequence:
MG on Hand
Bow on Butterfly
Sniper on Fish
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
After that, you must communicate to maintain the following sequence:
A and T with the MG
Bamboo with Sniper
Paper, Water, and Trees with the Bow
Gate-Bow, Rabbit with Sniper
L and R with the MG
Gate-Bow, Lotus with Sniper
S and D with the MG
Lotus with Sniper
Rose and Heart with the Bow
Bypass Level 6
Even though players have struggled here for a long time, Stage 6 is actually the easiest of all 7. First, eliminate all enemies.
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
Then, all players need to equip the forge bow, stand on the butterfly symbol, and then shoot at the trees simultaneously.
Bypass Level 7
Step 7 is the most challenging. The following is important:
The MG player must now also equip a Solar weapon in addition to the MG
The bow player needs an additional Arc weapon
The sniper player needs an additional Void weapon
The players must then use their forge weapons to find the corresponding symbols. Then they switch to the weapon with the corresponding element and shoot at the respective symbols.
Source: KaiOT_Gaming on Twitter
MG: Stand on Hand and shoot with the Solar weapon at +, U, L, F, B, E, R, H, +, T
Sniper: Stand on Wolf and shoot with the Void weapon at Fish, Lotus, Temple. Then stand on Dragon and shoot with the Void weapon at Gate-Bow, Rabbit, Bamboo, Temple
Bow: Stand on Butterfly and shoot with the Arc weapon at Trees and Letter. Then stand on Sun and shoot with the Arc weapon at Heart, Heart, Trees and Wings
Once this sequence has been successfully entered, the puzzle is solved, and you will receive the ghost and the emblem for the Niobe Lab puzzle.

With Elsweyr, fans of The Elder Scrolls Online can expect a new story packed with plenty of additional quests in an interesting game area. This should definitely interest single-player fans coming from Skyrim.
What does Zenimax want to achieve? The epic story, the many quests, and the fact that at least the story content of ESO can be played solo shows that ESO wants to attract single-player fans.
However, it is evident from the group content of the game that this target audience should also be excited about the MMO part.
Therefore, Zenimax aims to offer players an experience that they know from Skyrim, but then encourage them to stay longer in ESO and play in groups through MMO elements.
How does Elsweyr fit in? The Elsweyr addon brings a lot of new quests and content for single players. For example, dragons can be defeated during the story together with NPCs. Other players are not necessarily required.
This makes the story around the dragons interesting for Skyrim fans.
However, as world bosses, the dragon-like creatures also appear. Here, you can only defeat the beasts in a group.
This illustrates the path that Zenimax is taking with ESO
The interest of single-player fans is sparked by the story elements that can be mastered alone
the group content deepens the game but adds even more fun.
Here’s why dragons could attract Skyrim fans: As a Skyrim and ESO player, I can relate to this step. It was incredibly fun to hunt dragons in TES 5 Skyrim.
These dragons were not previously present in ESO. Now, with Elsweyr, I have the opportunity to experience this game principle from Skyrim in the MMO – and in several ways.
I can hunt dragons solo (with NPCs) in the story
I join other players to defeat the creatures as world bosses

A new kind of dragon hunting: Especially for Skyrim fans, it is all the more interesting to combat the dragons. Because the dragon shouts known from Skyrim, which were used for hunting there, are not present. This means different tactics are needed.
Zenimax has already stated that it will be much harder to defeat a dragon in ESO than it is in Skyrim.
In a group, it becomes particularly interesting to take down the bosses. That is exactly what makes it very appealing to Skyrim fans. Fighting dragons in a different way. And this might lead them to stay with ESO as an MMORPG rather than just seeing it as a single-player alternative.
Therefore, the choice of dragons was indeed well thought out and clever by Zenimax.
Is Elsweyr a bridge to the release of TES 6? One cannot help but notice that The Elder Scrolls Online, especially with Elsweyr, strongly targets the single-player fans of the series. And more and more of them find a new home in the MMORPG. After all, it will still be a few years until The Elder Scrolls 6 is released as the next single-player installment.
When TES 6 eventually launches, an interesting question may arise: With an increasingly strong focus of ESO on single-player content, how will the MMORPG and TES 6 coexist?
In the near future, however, The Elder Scrolls Online will be the main focus.

Even without spending money, you can have fun in Hearthstone. All you need is a single card that replaces all others.
If you want to play at the top in Hearthstone, you either have to invest a lot of time or a lot of money to create the best cards for the best decks. But if you’re a “casual” player who only checks in every few months, it can quickly become frustrating. Important cards are missing, great deck ideas cannot be tried out, and the humiliation of losing again and again increases. Eventually, the fun of the game diminishes.
However, I have now discovered for myself – and I believe many others may feel the same way – that for “fun in between,” you only need a single card, and it’s not even from the current expansion.
What is Wurbelfitz the Wonderful? Wurbelfitz actually comes from the previous expansion “Dr. Boom’s Secret Lab.” When you add this minion to your deck, the deck is automatically complete. You do not need to own any other cards. The trick is that a deck with Wurbelfitz becomes one of 18 random decks at the start of each match! It covers all nine classes and two different play styles for each.
Update came with Rastakhan’s Rumble: I am most surprised that Blizzard even went as far as to update Wurbelfitz with “Rastakhan’s Rumble.” Wurbelfitz now incorporates current deck formulas and ensures that you can play cards from “Rastakhan’s Rumble” as well.
This has clearly shown that the card will still work in future expansions and makes the most current deck formulas playable until Wurbelfitz rotates out of the game. If you don’t want to spend hours dealing with deck lists or simply lack the creativity to build your own decks, Wurbelfitz is a safe bet.
Wurbelfitz is perfect for one or two games of Hearthstone when you’re sitting on the train or waiting for the next raid group in WoW. The card promises and guarantees variety.
No matter if Elemental Mage, Mech Warrior, or Frenzy Druid, with Wurbelfitz you always get solid decks that can hold their own at least up to rank 10. If you only play a few matches a month and don’t want to worry about real money purchases, you should give Wurbelfitz a chance. Although you never know exactly what else is in your own deck, that’s part of the appeal and isn’t necessary for “a few casual rounds.”
Wurbelfitz is certainly not a guarantee for a powerful deck or a certain victory – but sometimes the fun of the game and the combinations possible are worth much more. Getting it for a low price of 1600 Arcane Dust is unmatched. For me, Wurbelfitz will also remain a fixed part of my leisure time in 2019.
In summary, Wurbelfitz was definitely the best card I could ever craft. It ranks ahead of Yogg-Saron for me, whose “RNG fireworks” I found simply magnificent at the time. Therefore, my advice to anyone starting out with Hearthstone or wanting to check back in “casually”: craft yourself “Wurbelfitz the Wonderful.” Only with this card can you have a lot of fun without spending a single cent.
Have you ever played a few matches with Wurbelfitz? Or do you prefer to know exactly what you’re dealing with beforehand?
A pirate without a ship won’t get far in the survival MMO Atlas. If you want a decent ship, you have to build it yourself. We’ll show you how to do it.
The Skills: If you want to build your ship, you first need the right skills. The skill system in Atlas is somewhat more complex, so skill points should be invested in various talent trees. In the Survivalism tree, you should allocate your first points as follows:
The Basics: 1 point
Tools of Trade: 1 point
Construction Unlock: 2 points
Advanced Tools: 8 points
In the Construction tree, which is unlocked by the Construction Unlock skill, you will learn the following abilities:
Basics of Building: 1 point
Weaving: 2 points
Secrets of Building: 2 points
Seamanship Unlock: 2 points
In the now unlocked Seamanship skill tree, you can learn everything a sailor’s heart desires, including the various ships. However, for starters, you will need:
Basics of Sailing: 1 point
Shipwright: 1 point
Once you have allocated all your skills, you gain access to all necessary objects and buildings. At level 11, you should definitely have 21 points left. Now the shipbuilding can begin!
The Basics: First, build a Smithy and a Loom. At the Smithy, you will process 240 Fiber, 105 Stone, 420 Thatch, and 840 Wood into a Small Shipyard. Place the Shipyard in the sea. Be careful that there is enough space underneath the Shipyard, or a ship might get damaged when setting sail.
The Shipyard serves as a workstation for your ships.
You can use the Shipyard like a workstation. Approach it and press the “E” key. At the beginning, you will be able to build a Sloop, the smallest ship besides the raft and dinghy. Build the framework of the ship at the Shipyard with 1,390 Fiber, 70 Hide, 12 Metal, 1,198 Thatch, and 1,460 Wood. Now you have to place the necessary objects on the framework to make the ship seaworthy.
This includes 12 planks, a deck, the steering wheel, and two small or one medium sail. All individual parts can be crafted at the Smithy and the Loom. For the entire Sloop, you will need:
800 Fiber.
1060 Wood.
843 Thatch.
60 Hide.
Up to 28 Metal.
The material costs vary slightly depending on the type of sail.
Now it’s time to decorate: When building the basic ship, you have no option to make changes except for the type of sails. However, once the ship is equipped with all necessary objects, you can let your imagination run wild. Every ship can be further optimized with the normal building parts from base building at your leisure. This does not change the values but contributes to the individuality of each ship.
Yesterday, an iceberg in Fortnite gradually melted away. Suddenly, it received health points with update 7.20. They are now at 0. And the iceberg revealed what lies beneath: a strange hatch.
That was the hot topic yesterday: With the patch 7.20 in Fortnite, the giant iceberg in the southwest of the Fortnite map started to melt yesterday.
The iceberg was given a gigantic health display (5 billion HP) and it decreased slowly.
Players could hit the iceberg and damage was also displayed. But the iceberg consistently lost health points.

Players called on reddit to hit the iceberg: Because the more people discovered the iceberg and caused damage to it, the faster it would melt and the event would continue.
Others said that was nonsense; it would melt on its own anyway.
Fortnite has so many players, that it is impossible to estimate how many people hit the iceberg at the same time or not. In any case, the iceberg has melted now, and much faster than expected.
What lay beneath the iceberg in Fortnite
This was under the iceberg: Players had wild speculations about what would be beneath the iceberg.
This is what it’s about: Some suspect that this could have been a test of what an “in-game countdown” might look like.
Others think it was a large “test” for the Unreal Engine. The idea behind the theory is that across numerous servers, people do something that then affects everyone else on all other servers: namely, breaking the iceberg with pickaxes.
In any case, there is a lot going on in Fortnite right now, even if the purpose is still unclear:
The developers of Anthem believe that your shooter is more fun when played with other players. Therefore, there will be matchmaking for all activities.
What is it about? BioWare has commented several times on matchmaking in Anthem. It has been confirmed, that there will be a group search for the strongholds. These fortresses are supposed to provide you with particularly challenging adversaries that cannot be tackled alone.
Over Twitter, the Lead Producer of Anthem, Ben Irving, announced that there will be matchmaking for all activities in the game.

Do I have to play with matchmaking? According to Irving, matchmaking in Anthem is enabled by default. Instead of playing with a group of random players, activities can also be undertaken with your own friends.
Those who prefer to play alone or need a special challenge can also completely forgo additional players. However, the developers are convinced, that Anthem will be more fun with other players.
What activities are there? So far, the activities Freeplay and Strongholds have been presented.
In Freeplay, players will be able to explore the game world in a group or alone. Players can take on world quests and expeditions or defeat bosses during special events. Players interact with the environment and can dive into lakes, explore caves, or fly through waterfalls to cool down their Javelins.
Strongholds are somewhat like the dungeons of Anthem and offer different locations with multiple mission objectives. Enemies are particularly tough, which is why strongholds must be tackled with a group. At the end of the dungeon, a boss awaits you.
In a stream, the strongholds were recently presented in detail:
In Ashes of Creation, the conquest of fortresses plays an important role. To extensively test this experience, a siege mode is being introduced in the PvP variant Apocalypse.
In a live stream lasting more than an hour, developers demonstrated sieges in Ashes of Creation (via YouTube).
What is the siege mode? In siege mode, one group of players tries to conquer a fortress, while the other faction attempts to defend the fortress against the attackers.
How a siege unfolds in AoC: In siege mode in Ashes of Creation Apocalypse, 200 players will clash. The attack on a fortress is divided into two phases.
In the first phase, the goal is to overcome the enemy walls. Various siege weapons will be used for this purpose.
On the way to overcoming the wall, there will already be points that can be captured. The number of held points affects the respawn time. Each player, however, has an unlimited number of lives within the battle.
In the second phase, the crystal in the core of the fortress must be captured. Only once this is achieved does the attacking team take the fortress and claim victory.
Player communication: The developers say that player communication has a significant impact on conquest. Each side has 100 players, divided into five raid groups of 20 players each.
Leaders of each raid group can communicate via VoIP. Direct verbal exchange is also intended to be possible within the raid.
Classes and siege weapons for conquest
To keep siege mode exciting and diverse, the developers have introduced classes and siege weapons. Each attack can thus be executed with different setups and strategies.
What classes are available? For conquering and defending fortresses, six classes are available. Two of them focus more on melee combat, on ranged damage, and on support for the team.
Available are:
Guardian
Weapon Master
Archwizard
Hawkeye
High Priest
Engineer
In this article, we have already explored the classes in detail. It will not be possible to switch classes within a match.
The siege weapons: For the siege weapons, the developers at Intrepid Studios are using the usual suspects. These include:
Ballistae
Trebuchets
Battering Rams
and exploding barrels.
Two different fortresses are planned
The developers have presented two maps for the siege mode. Both are also intended to exist in the later MMORPG. However, a total of five different types of fortresses are planned.
The Aelan Human Fortress: This fortress is located in a desert. It has already been shown in previous trailers for the mode.
The Dwarven Fortress: The second planned map for sieges is located on a cliff in a mountain. It is inspired by the dwarves and is said to evoke feelings of The Lord of the Rings according to developer statements.
When can I play the sieges?
Currently, there is no date for when the siege mode will be implemented in the game. A lot of work is currently being done on the battle royale from the standalone Apocalypse, so it can leave beta.

Electronic Arts had been developing a major “Star Wars” game for a long time, initially in California, then in Vancouver. It was supposed to be an action-adventure like Uncharted in the world of Star Wars – later an open-world game. But that now seems to be over.
Here’s the game in question: The game was codenamed “Project Ragtag.” It was originally developed for EA by Visceral Games in California. At that time, Amy Hennig, the creative head of Uncharted, was behind it.
The EA “Star Wars” game was also initially intended to be a kind of “Uncharted” in the Star Wars universe.
What went wrong with “Uncharted-Star-Wars”: However, reports suggest that the studio got hopelessly tangled up with the Star Wars game.
There was a significant insider report (via Kotaku) detailing how the studio was overworked. Allegedly, they spent an insane amount of time on a tiny clip of the protagonist stepping out of a door.
For the efficiency-focused people at EA, it was a nightmare. Moreover, they were reportedly not particularly excited about “Ragtag”. After all, it was a single-player game.
The game had been in jeopardy for a long time.
Electronic Arts ultimately closed Visceral Games, the company behind Dead Space. The studio simply wasn’t profitable because costs in California are so high and little came out of the studio. Visceral Games was known for its “Dead Space” series.
Ultimately, EA Vancouver took over “Project Ragtag”, having previously worked on the game.
As Kotaku reports, they rebooted the entire Star Wars game, wanting to keep the assets and make it into an “open world” game.
But that too seems to be dead now.
EA wants “earlier” Star Wars games
This is what the game was supposed to become: As Kotaku learned from anonymous sources, the new version of the “Star Wars” project was called “Orca.”
Players took on the role of a rogue or bounty hunter. They explored planets and collaborated with factions.
However, the release date was apparently too late for EA, as the game was still in an early stage of development. Therefore, EA has now closed the project and wants to focus on games that will be released much earlier. EA set a target for the end of 2020.
According to Kotaku, the end of the project this time did not cost any jobs.
With the return of the exotic hand cannon “The Last Word,” it becomes evident once again: Players are forced into the Crucible in Destiny 2 whether they like it or not. Many Guardians do not like this at all.
What’s the problem with the quest for “The Last Word”? Anyone who wants to own the new exotic hand cannon “The Last Word” must necessarily enter the Crucible. So if you are not PvP-oriented but want to complete your collection, you’re simply out of luck.
Throughout the history of Destiny, there have been quests that forced Guardians to engage in activities that were not exactly in their wheelhouse. Pure PvE players have hated them. The reasons for this are manifold.
These three types of players exist in Destiny 2: Not every Guardian enjoys all the content Destiny 2 has to offer. Fundamentally, three player types can be defined:
Pure PvE players love fighting against AI-controlled aliens, have completed all raids, and only set foot in the Crucible when absolutely necessary.
Mixed players enjoy any content Destiny 2 has to offer, whether PvE or PvP.
Pure PvP players only engage in PvE content to obtain the right tools to wipe out other Guardians in the Crucible. The Crucible is their realm and is only reluctantly left.
Especially the group of pure PvE players is not thrilled about having to go into the Crucible for exotic weapons, and even mixed players have to push themselves at times. Bungie has faced criticism for this frequently. Nevertheless, Guardians are regularly sent into the Crucible.
Players could not avoid the Crucible in these quests either: The classic example of an extremely difficult Crucible quest is still the Thorn bounty from Destiny 1. Here, Guardians had to achieve kills with Void weapons in the Crucible, and progress was reduced with their own deaths.
The terror of many Guardians: The Thorn quest
The quest was considered very difficult back then, as there were hardly any primary weapons with the Void element, aside from the auto rifle from the Glass Chamber and the hand cannon from the Crota raid.
What many players may have forgotten: Those starting fresh with Destiny 2 must complete milestones that also require them to play two matches in the competitive playlist of the Crucible. However, this rarely has a positive impact on their team, especially since they are usually under-equipped and, quite frankly, inexperienced.
There was particularly a lot of criticism regarding the Pikass. Here, Guardians had to achieve 25 precision kills with a hand cannon. A task that still brings tears to the eyes of some Guardians today. Having to go into the Crucible for a weapon, which is clearly tied to a story questline, was inexplicable to many.
Why does Bungie continuously send players into the Crucible? Despite the unending criticism, Bungie remains steadfast in this practice, as the quest for the last word once again proves. The reasons for this may seem understandable at first glance:
Bungie wants to show players the full range of what Destiny 2 has to offer. This also includes the Crucible.
Weapons like The Last Word and the Pikass are extremely powerful against other Guardians, making the requirements at least somewhat more understandable.
Guardians who have yet to venture into the Crucible might be made curious by the quest steps.
However, these underlying considerations do not change the fact that the Crucible is a place many players never want to enter. The matchmaking is too inconsistent, the experience too frustrating when completely overwhelmed.
At its core, Destiny and Destiny 2 are clearly focused on the PvE content, the Crucible is at best “ancillary.” Guardians should not be forced to endure frustrating experiences, so the criticism goes.
How could Bungie circumvent the dilemma? The fundamental approach of incorporating the Crucible into exotic quests may be understandable. However, an alternative should be introduced for pure PvE players.
Bungie could implement a mechanic that allows a player to choose whether to achieve specific quest objectives in PvE or PvP. Those looking to test their luck in combat against other Guardians could be rewarded with faster progress.
What do you think? Should Bungie rethink their practice of luring players into the Crucible?
The hopes were rewarded. First players confirm the shiny form of the Pokémon. The shiny wish of the players has been fulfilled.
That’s why players hoped for Shiny Groudon
That’s why hopes were high: That Shiny Groudon would come into the game along with the event was not far-fetched. A few months ago, Niantic implemented the shiny form of Kyogre in raids.
So it was obvious that Shiny Groudon would come into the game and this speculation has now been confirmed.
This is what Shiny Groudon looks like: The shiny form of the legendary Pokémon is yellow-green and is easily recognizable by the players.
How often is Shiny Groudon? The analysts from TheSilphRoad found out some time ago during a test that the chance of getting a shiny Pokémon from raids is about 1:19. So in every 19th raid, a shiny is supposed to be waiting for you, at least in theory.
Note this about Shinys: If you encounter a legendary shiny in the raids, then use the nanab berry. Shiny Groudon and Shiny Kyogre have a 100% catch chance.
Soon there will be suitable loot in World of Warcraft and thus less frustration.
Yesterday we revealed what will change in Season 2 of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. The item levels of many rewards are increasing and numerous contents will become harder to reflect that. Now, however, the Game Director Ion Hazzikostas has revealed another change that may please many players.
Appropriate rewards from emissary quests: Starting with Season 2 (January 23, 2019), the loot obtained from emissary quests and faction assaults will be adjusted. The loot obtained will now consistently be an item intended for the currently selected loot specialization.
Previously, it was possible for players to receive items from loot boxes of emissary quests or upon completing a faction assault that were not intended for their current specialization. For instance, warriors or paladins could receive shields even though they did not want a tank reward.
Normal world quests are not affected: This change does not apply to “normal” world quests. These will still grant a fixed reward, which can also be for non-selected specializations. This is intended to prevent developers from making players switch through all specializations to see which world quests provide the best loot for which specialization. That would not be enjoyable gameplay.
Additionally, players might still hope to receive items from world quests that they are still missing for a specific specialization.
The changes will take effect next week on January 23, 2019, coinciding with the opening of the new raid “Siege of Dazar’Alor”.
In EVE Online, an incredibly elaborate plan led to the destruction of “Fort Knocks”. This was the first Keepstar in the history of New Eden. Players worked for almost a year on this plan to crack the impregnable fortress.
What is Fort Knocks? “Fort Knocks” is the 1st Keepstar of EVE Online. Keepstars are massive death stars and the largest structures in the universe of the SF MMORPG.
“Fort Knocks” was located in a wormhole system in sector J115405, known as “Rage”. Home to the corporation “Hard Knocks,” this wormhole sector has been heavily industrialized over the years.
Wormhole systems have several peculiarities in EVE Online. It’s complicated to enter them, but they offer many resources.
Through absolute control over this sector, “Hard Knocks” was able to quickly gather the resources for the Keepstar in 2016 and build it as the first in the history of the MMORPG.
There, in their wormhole, the corporation felt secure due to the special location and years of peace – too secure.

That is why “Fort Knocks” was considered indestructible: For years, it was deemed practically impossible to attack a wormhole system from the outside.
This is so complicated because one must find a suitable wormhole to reach a system like “Rage”. These wormholes shift and are unstable. Once a certain mass has passed through, the wormhole collapses.
Therefore, it is only possible to occasionally sneak small ships through such a hole.
However, small ships are not suitable for besieging a Keepstar.
Invasion fleets can only consist of “small ships” and must act quickly. Because defenders can simply hunt heavy ships through wormholes to collapse them.
Seemingly an unsolvable dilemma.
Thus, the invaders devised a plan for 11 months to reach “Rage” and destroy Fort Knocks.
This is how the Keepstar fell: Since December 2017, players from the corporation “The Initiative” began to consider how to crack “Fort Knocks”. They formulated a plan.
In recent months, more and more small ships sneaked unnoticed through the wormholes into Rage.
These fully loaded, unarmed freighters had material loaded to form an invasion fleet. They waited logged out in “Rage” to initiate the attack.
On December 8, the signal to attack was given. All 550 members of “The Initiative” and allied troops from “Imperium” and “Snuffed Out” were called.
Through a sophisticated system of wormholes, they brought their troops in small attack ships to Rage. There, they disabled the starbases and established new facilities of their own.
Then the freighters logged in, which had been parked there for months, and docked at the space stations.
Now the pilots exchanged their small attack ships for the big brutes.

Despite Hard Knocks and their allies putting up fierce resistance, they stood no chance against the vastly superior numbers of invasion forces and eventually focused on damage control and evacuated
Ultimately, “Rage,” the first Keepstar fell and “The Initiative” triumphed.
This is the impact of the coup: The site Kotaku describes this course of the attack and explains that the destruction of “Fort Knocks” has affected all of EVE Online. The “wormhole residents” would now rethink their situation and feel insecure.
Additionally, numerous heavily loaded freighters were reported in December. Apparently, other aggressors are also planning to replicate “The Initiative”‘s plan.
