In an interview with the developers of Cyberpunk 2077, the possibility of a multiplayer mode was discussed. Is there a chance?
At E3 2019, Cyberpunk 2077 stole the show from most other games. This was not only due to the extremely action-packed presentation but also the surprise, that actor Keanu Reeves would play a significant role in Cyberpunk 2077. During E3, there were several interviews where questions about gameplay were raised. A potential multiplayer mode was also brought up.
What do the developers say about multiplayer? In an interview with Eurogamer, the question arose whether Cyberpunk 2077 would be a purely single-player title at launch. The response was:
Yes, 100%. We are not really working on a multiplayer; our only focus is the single-player. We will do that first and then we will see. We are not saying no, but we are also not saying yes. If something [in this direction] happens, it will definitely be after the launch, and that’s all I can say at the moment.
What about the future? CD Projekt Red does not want to make any commitments about the future yet. However, the signs look rather bleak. It has been said that “currently we are not working on anything, testing, or trying anything.” That would be something “for the future”.
What do they want to avoid? The interviewers did not back down and asked whether there would be something the developers would definitely want to avoid in the multiplayer. There was again a rather clear answer: Even a multiplayer must deliver strong story.
We are known for good stories, fantastic characters, choices, and consequences. That is something we would definitely pay attention to if something in this direction were to happen. We would avoid anything that does not align with that. If we do it [multiplayer], it will be in our style.
So, anyone who expected a multiplayer component for Cyberpunk 2077 at release or shortly thereafter will be disappointed. Whether such a mode will come after that is still uncertain at this point.
In Destiny 2, the 1st Iron Banner of the Season of Opulence is coming soon. In addition to (not really) new weapons and gear, there will be some changes. We show you what to expect.
When does the Iron Banner start? On June 18, it will be time for the Iron Lord Saladin to make his appearance – for the first time in Season 7. Until June 25, Guardians can compete against each other in the Crucible for a week to earn fresh seasonal weapons and gear.
1. Iron Banner of Season 7 is coming – What you should know
What you should note about the Iron Banner armor: The biggest change is for armor. For Iron Banner armors, you now need to prove your worth before Lord Saladin in Season 7 to dress like an Iron Lord. In other words, Saladin will send you on a quest.
In this context, each individual piece of the Season 7 armor is first granted upon completing the associated quest step. The Iron Banner gear that you receive as a reward during the quest will always be powerful, providing a power upgrade.
If you unlock an armor piece through the quest, you can subsequently earn it through Iron Banner rank-ups and as a reward for completing Iron Banner matches – including random rolls and the chance for enhanced perks.
If you are a Destiny 2 veteran who participated in Year 1 during the Iron Banner, you can use all the Iron Banner ornaments earned in Year 1 with the Season 7 armor. Additionally, the armor itself may also seem familiar to you, as the Iron Tribute sets are not really new.
Essentially, it is a reskin of the very first Iron Banner armor from Destiny 2, which has been brought in line with Year 2 standards in terms of perks and mods.
What you should note about the Iron Banner weapons: In addition to new armors, there will also be new Iron Banner weapons with the Season of Opulence. However, these are unfortunately just as not new as the armors.
Once again, these are further weapons from Year 1, upgraded to Year 2 standards (Random Rolls, Year 2 mod slots) and given a new coat of paint.
These weapons have now also been added to the rank-up packages and have an increased drop chance from the first package you redeem.
What you can still earn in Season 7 through the Iron Banner: There will be
new shaders
a new emblem
and a new sparrow
that can be earned in the Iron Banner. For this, you would need to achieve certain seasonal goals.
What else is changing in the Iron Banner in Season 7: Additionally, there are still some other changes you should note.
Iron Banner bounties no longer unlock gear for direct purchase from Lord Saladin. This now runs through the quest.
The buff/debuff mechanics introduced in Season 6 around “Iron Burden” and “Wolf’s Favor” will not return in Season 7. After evaluating fan feedback, Bungie has scrapped this feature at the end of Season 6.

Fortnite: Battle Royale no longer lives up to its name in the new game mode “Horde Rush”. The new mode has nothing to do with Battle Royale at all.
What is Horde Rush? I, Jürgen, was quite surprised when I started a round of the new game mode Horde Rush in Fortnite: Battle Royale.
Because I actually expected a squad version of the now repeatedly returning zombie mode, where monsters, in addition to the other players, were after me.
Instead, the new mode is pure PvE. I started with three other players over a tiny storm circle. There we could quickly gear up and build a small fort. Shortly after, hordes of non-zombies were storming in, and we shot at everything we could.
Four against the non-zombies
This is how the round continued: After we held out long enough and racked up a bunch of points for killed monsters, suddenly our little storm circle started to move and we had to roam through the open heath for a while.
Meanwhile, the monster horde continued to spawn and pressed us hard. As the storm moved mercilessly, we had to be extremely careful not to step into the storm while fleeing from the enemies and lose more valuable health points. Those can only be regained from kills.
Eventually, we reached a safe zone again and we could prepare for the onslaught. Those who went down along the way could respawn after painful minutes, but during that time, the remaining players were pressed even harder. In the last phase, you are even permanently dead if you go down!
Finally, we reached the last circle, badly depleted, and there even came a big boss with tons of hit points. With one last effort, the last remaining player from the team managed to take down the big boss.
This is the reward: In return, we got a high score and progress on the new challenges for the event. The grand prize is, by the way, a cool, animated skin. But until then, you have to slay gigantic hordes of non-zombies.
No Battle Royale, but unfortunately awesome
That’s why the new mode “Save the World” is in turbo: Anyone who, like me, played the original Fortnite back then, will find a lot familiar in Horde Rush. Because just like in the PvE mode “Save the World”, you have a short amount of time to fortify yourself before the enemies come crashing at you in huge hordes.
However, unlike back in Save the World, everything here runs much faster and less tactically, but is significantly more action-packed. You don’t have classes, NPC companions, and pre-built plans for complex death traps.
Instead, you have plenty of weapons, ammunition, and action. Especially in between the safe zones, the adrenaline rushes up hard and your heart rate skyrockets. Because no matter how many enemies go down, more and more keep coming, and the storm sweeps you away mercilessly if you take too long.
Jürgen’s conclusion: Optimal for between
After I got past my initial surprise in the new mode, I soon had a lot of fun. The endless hordes can still be easily taken down at first. It’s really fun to mow down the stupid non-zombies one after another.
But then it becomes more and more and they come from all sides. And then the ammunition runs low. And then the damn storm moves too! And the big zombie in front of me just won’t die, and I’m running out of shotgun ammo! Help!
The new mode brings both excitement and adrenaline as well as achievements and fun action because you’re constantly shooting something and never have downtime.
That’s what always bothered me in “Save the World”, having to wait so long for the action. Everything here happens faster and more dynamically.
As far as I’m concerned, the new mode can stay in the game longer. Especially because mobile players of Fortnite finally get to enjoy a PvE mode. Save the World is still only available for PC and consoles.
In The Division 2 , developer Massive has announced a new, free feature: the Expeditions are set to arrive with Episode 1. They are keeping details under wraps, but seem to promise puzzles. The mysteries in the new area are said to appeal to those who already delighted in hunting for the 12 masks.
What is the new feature? Expeditions are essentially new zones. It is said that they are “previously unexplored places around Washington DC.”
The first Expedition apparently takes place at “Kenly College,” as revealed by the impressive concept art. Nature seems to want to reclaim this educational institution.
A overgrown college is probably the first expedition in The Division 2.
When is it coming? The feature will arrive with Episode 1 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One – likely in July or August 2019. Season Pass owners can play it immediately – those without will have to wait a week.
Here’s how you get to the new expedition, Kenly College: Players can either use the helicopter in front of the White House or travel there via fast travel.
It sounds like expeditions are a group task, but details are still lacking.
What do you play there? It is said that each expedition area consists of three locations, each with different themes.
Players must unlock these 3 locations sequentially. You can then explore these locations in The Division 2 as often and for as long as you want. Secrets are said to be hidden there.
Is it worth it? Whoever completes all three locations will gain access to a “treasure room” with rewards. Exact details have not yet been revealed by the developers of The Division 2.
However, it is quite possible that with Episode 1, the gear will improve. The increase in gear score had been something The Division 2 had refrained from for some weeks.
By the time Episode 1 arrives, you will already be able to play the Gunner.
Challenges are coming to The Division 2
Here’s the special twist: There is a “Mastery system” in these expeditions with challenges that can be completed repeatedly and are rated with Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
The new game of the Darksiders franchise takes the gameplay in a new direction. It looks like Diablo 3 and has a co-op mode.
What is Darksiders Genesis? In the latest installment of the Darksiders franchise, you will be able to play the fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse, Strife. Armed with two pistols, he sets out to find the demon Lucifer and prevent his plan to destroy the balance between angels and demons.
Strife will be accompanied by his friend and brother War, whom Darksiders fans will already know from the first game of the franchise. Genesis takes place chronologically before the events of the first Darksiders game.

What features will Darksiders Genesis have? Darksiders Genesis is a hack and slasher game that is played from an isometric perspective. In the trailer, it is evident that it has strong parallels to Diablo games or Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
With the help of wormholes, you will be able to travel back and forth between heaven and hell to hunt down criminal demons.
THQ Nordic has already confirmed that the game will also feature typical action RPG elements. This includes, for instance, collecting loot and a co-op mode.

Google Stadia, the streaming service for video games from the IT giant Google, brings a seemingly obvious but not necessarily apparent advantage: You no longer need to buy a strong gaming PC to play in really good quality.
What kind of computer does Google “lend” me? You are basically renting the right to game on a PC that can easily compete with any upper mid-range gaming computer.
With the free “Stadia Base” option starting in 2020, you won’t even have to pay anything for it.
The only requirement: You need a reasonably good internet connection. If you want to play in 1080p Full HD at 60 FPS, your connection must reach at least 20Mbps download speed. Anything above that is of no use for the free option.
Do I really get a computer? No, Google does not physically provide you with a computer in your gaming room. You only receive virtual remote access to a PC located at Google.
This is the same principle as with Netflix or Amazon Prime. A content is streamed. In this case, even an entire PC.
Is this a problem in Germany? The recommended minimum is 10Mbps for still 720p. But both the HD option and the 4K option included in the Pro subscription should not be a problem for many users in Germany.
A maximum of 35Mbps is needed for the best resolution. According to the speed report from netzwelt.de, the average internet speed in Germany is currently 43.02Mbps (as of June 7 at 6:16 PM).
Germany is not leading, but it should be sufficient for Stadia.
Stadia: Stream games in HD without paying
Does it really cost nothing? No. Stadia Base will be free according to Google, but it will only be available starting from an unspecified date in 2020. The catch is that no games will be included.
If you want to play on Stadia for free, you will have to purchase the respective games through Stadia.
Stadia Base also offers “only” streaming at 1080p at 60 FPS. This means that you are basically borrowing an HD-capable computer for free. If you want to play up to 4K, you need Stadia Pro – and also a connection with at least 35Mbps.
However, it remains necessary to own a TV, PC with a monitor, or laptop to stream. Stadia itself only replaces the need for an expensive gaming computer.
The differences between Stadia Pro and Stadia Base
This is Stadia Pro: The Pro subscription costs €9.99. In Stadia Pro, there will be a selection of free games available that you have full access to as long as your subscription is active. So far, only Destiny 2 is known. Otherwise, you will have to purchase the games normally.
Another advantage is that in Stadia Pro, games are offered at a discount, and even if you are no longer actively subscribed to Pro, you can continue to use the games you have purchased in the free Base version – just not in 4K and without surround sound.
How does streaming work? With Google Stadia, you have the ability to stream games. This means you do not need a console.
You have access to Google’s server structure with Stadia Pro and Stadia Base. You just access Stadia through the browser of your laptop, PC, or smartphone and click “Play” on the respective game.

The MMORPG Bless Online will shut down its servers on Steam. The global version of Bless for Europe and North America also failed to convince players. It will end in autumn 2019. The hype in May 2018 was huge.
When will Bless shut down? The Steam service for Bless will close on September 9, 2019, at 00:00.

Bless was supposed to end the MMORPG drought in 2018
Why was there so much hype around Bless Online? Bless is an AAA MMORPG from Asia that was supposed to have cost about $61 million in development and looked fantastic.
For many MMORPG fans here in the West, it was a “dream game” that they could only admire from afar but could not play.
It was announced in South Korea in 2011, and the trailers and world looked very good. But even in South Korea, the relatively conservative and traditional game could not gain a foothold and flopped against competitors like Black Desert.
Ultimately, the developers pulled it back to “fundamentally” rework it.
Before the Western release of Bless, the developers gave players hope of releasing the game in a revised version tailored for the West. It was said to come out now in Early Access, as it was practically a new game.
However, there was no way to test the game beforehand in a beta. Only selected “ambassadors” were able to play and present Bless early. These were largely selected streamers.

Here’s how to make your start easier: We have some tips for you that should make it easier to get into the game:
Do not invest credits in equipment before level 30; it is not worth it. Save your credits instead.
You unlock perks using SHD Tech, which you can find during missions and in containers throughout the game world.
You improve skills using skill points, which you earn by completing story missions. Visit the quartermaster in the White House for that.
Unlock these perks at the quartermaster to level up faster: Headshot Award, Multi-Kill Award, Weak Point Award, Tactical Kill Award, and Survivor.
Since the EXP from side quests is adjusted to your level, you should do these missions later. This way you can earn more experience points.
Capture control points to gain better equipment.
Visit the safe houses. There, at the computer, you’ll receive information about all missions and SHD containers in the respective district. The locations will be marked on your map.
If you experience connection issues, switch the server via the menu and “Social”. Click on your name, and you’ll get the option to search for a better server on the right-hand side.
Do not use fast travel too often, as you can find many interesting and useful things along the way.
If you find faction keys for the respective containers, save them for the endgame, as they will provide better loot.
This should make it easier for you to get started during the free weekend of the online shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
