According to LeagueOfGraphs, his win rate is modest. Even in ranked matches at Platinum and above, he only wins 49% of his games. Therefore, the new champion is not inherently overpowered and is not a guarantee for victories.
Faker narrowly survives 4v3, utilizing several dead champions to his advantage
What can be seen in the clip? Faker fights in the middle with the champion Viego against a Cassiopeia. During the battle, he receives support from his bot lane while Cassiopeia gets help from the top lane and the jungle. This develops into a 3v3, and later even a 4v3.
At the end of the prolonged battle, only Faker and his top laner remain. This was also due to his bot lane being somewhat clumsy in the fight under the tower. You can see the clip here:

How does Faker do it? He first jumps onto Cassiopeia with his “W” and uses his “Q” and ultimate to kill her. After that, he takes over Cassiopeia’s abilities with his passive.
With these abilities, he fights against the top laner Aatrox, who after a teleport kills both of Faker’s teammates and brings him down to low health. However, the pro can save himself by using his ultimate again and jumping away while transforming back into Viego.
After Gnar joined Faker as additional help, he decided to re-enter the fight and attack Aatrox and the enemy Graves.
By defeating Aatrox, he once again took over his abilities and stunned Graves. Finally, he transformed back, avoiding potential damage from the tower.
What does Faker show with the video? The champion Viego has a lot of potential, but many decisions must also be made. After each kill, there is a chance to assume the abilities of the killed champion, thereby bypassing cooldowns and dealing surprising damage.
At the same time, however, you do not gain more health points and must handle them carefully.
Currently, Viego is still banned in competitive League of Legends. New champions are not released there until a few weeks after their debut. However, many indications suggest that Viego will always be played or banned in future tournaments.
In tournaments, junglers are currently generally too strong. This was already demonstrated during the 2020 World Championship. Therefore, the developers are planning an adjustment:
In Pokémon GO there is a first teaser for Shiny Ditto. It gives a first glimpse of the possible catching method of the monster.
This was teased: On Twitter, Niantic published a hint image. It shows the moment when a Pokémon transforms into Ditto. The classic “Oh?” is shown in yellow.
Many trainers see this as a hint towards Shiny Ditto. The Pokémon will be released at the latest during the Kanto Tour, but now there is the first glimpse:

Shiny Ditto for the Kanto Tour – How could it be catchable?
This problem exists with Ditto: So far, Shiny Ditto could not be caught in Pokémon GO. Ditto never appears in its form in Pokémon GO, but first appears when you have caught a matching other Pokémon. The other Pokémon then sometimes transforms into Ditto – but not always. The overview of all Pokémon that can transform into Ditto can be found here:
Since you cannot recognize whether the monster will become Ditto when catching it, you also cannot recognize whether you can catch a Shiny Ditto.
Now the question arises: Is the Pokémon that becomes Shiny Ditto also Shiny? Or do you actually only recognize Ditto’s Shiny form when the “Oh?” is in another color?
Ditto is one of the Shinys that will come to the game at least during the Kanto Tour.
This is how Shiny Ditto could enter the game: The first teaser for Shiny Ditto only shows the yellow “Oh?”. This could mean that Shiny Ditto is only recognizable at that moment and otherwise disguises itself as a normal monster, like any other Ditto.
When is Shiny Ditto coming? The shiny version will definitely be available during the Kanto Tour, which runs at the end of February. All Shinys of the 1st generation should be available there – including Ditto. All information about the choice during the Kanto Tour can be found here:
You will have the chance to catch a shiny Ditto by February 20 at the latest. So be sure to pay attention to the “Oh?” when evolving into Ditto. That’s how you can tell whether you caught a Shiny.
Whether the Kanto Tour is worth it for you and whether you should buy a ticket, you can find out here:
Today, on February 9, the Spotlight Hour with Miltank starts in Pokémon GO. We will tell you why this event could be really worth it.
What is a Spotlight Hour? This event takes place every Tuesday in Pokémon GO and highlights a Pokémon for one hour. Additionally, there is a bonus that rounds off the event.
When does the event take place? It starts at 6:00 PM local time. For one hour, the bonuses related to Miltank will be active.
These are the bonuses: In general, the spawns are increased, and almost every spawn will be a Miltank. You will encounter over 200 Pokémon in that hour without any problems.
Additionally, there is double Stardust for catching Pokémon. You will receive at least 200 dust per Pokémon.
Is there Shiny Miltank? Yes, Miltank was recently introduced in its shiny version. So you will also find Shiny Miltank if you’re lucky.
We will embed an image of the shiny version here:
Why is this event so good? There are several reasons:
Miltank has just recently become available as shiny – many will still be missing the shiny form
Additionally, Miltank is incredibly rare outside of events – you will encounter it everywhere for one hour
The bonus is also strong. Stardust is the most important resource in the game and you can never have enough
So you should definitely not miss the hour. You can also play the event with incense from home. This way, you will at least be able to catch some Miltank.
What’s next? February is still full of events. Recently, an event around Valentine’s Day was announced. New monsters are waiting for you, and the pink Pokémon are taking control. Here’s an overview:
The streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins (29) became an absolute star on Twitch in 2017 and 2018 because he mastered the online shooter Fortnite like hardly anyone else and provided his fans with a fantastic show. Today, he can hardly bear to play Fortnite. He calls the community stupid and threatens to quit the game forever. The reason is stream snipers.
What is Ninja actually doing right now? Ninja had pushed himself to the peak of Twitch in 2017 and 2018, not taking a break and streaming Fortnite incessantly. After 2018, Ninja said: he had hardly lived that year, but was a slave to streaming.
Why does he want to quit Fortnite? On February 4 and 5, Ninja played Fortnite again after a long time. But his outing quickly soured.
Ninja felt that a “stream sniper” was out to get him. He was in his last 4 games, Ninja said, as he became extremely upset after being eliminated again.
Stream snipers are players who try to enter a streamer’s lobby to specifically hunt them down and kill them.
Lately, he seems a bit off: Twitch superstar Ninja.
“Fortnite is so hollow – the community is so stupid”
Ninja exploded:
“Get out of my game. Stay away from me. You prove nothing when you enter a game and rush someone who is in a fight and kill them.
The game is so hollow, the community is so stupid. It’s not fun.
These little losers chasing fame don’t get it. They only harm the game because I won’t play it anymore. I won’t stream it anymore and then no one will anymore – I mean, good for you. Get your clips, send them to your friends and then you can say ‘I killed Ninja’ – Man, I haven’t played the game properly in ages and I still kill almost all of you idiots, even though you train 12 hours a day.”
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins
More adventures of Twitch’s blue-haired superstar can be found here:
Are they really stream snipers? A fan then asked Ninja whether those are really stream snipers who are out to get him. They could just be normal players who happen to kill him.
Ninja then snapped at him. The guy should shut up. He has no idea. The stream sniper had been in his game 4 times in a row and either died right in front of Ninja’s eyes or killed him. He doesn’t make this stuff up.
The relevant segment of Ninja’s outburst starts around 3:07 minutes:

Later, Ninja calmed down a bit. He said: Distrust would be justified. Many Twitch streamers complain about stream snipers. You shouldn’t trust them. But fans should definitely trust him. Ninja is never wrong about this.
“Be quietly skeptical. But not towards me! Trust me! I’ve been playing Battle Royale for half a decade. I know what it’s like to be stream sniped. I know the feeling. I can smell them!”
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins
Ninja seems a bit annoyed lately. But he has had many experiences with stream sniping. At the peak of his career, on New Year’s Eve 2018, Ninja streamed his shooter Fortnite at a gigantic event in New York – even then, a stream sniper was after him.
In Torghast, a new event is active that functions almost like a completely new game mode. As a group, you can have a lot of fun in WoW.
The Tower of Torghast in World of Warcraft is primarily used to collect Soul Ash to craft legendary items. However, there are also a number of cosmetic rewards, and some players visit the tower simply for fun. After all, there are plenty of absurd Anima powers that make your character incredibly enjoyable.
As of today, the “Chorus of Souls” event is live and takes Torghast to a whole new dimension of fun.
What kind of event is this? With the first Anima power in Torghast, all players now receive an additional option. This is always “Howling Soul Core” and allows the player to transform into a Chorus of Souls. These are the Maw spirits with many faces. During the transformation, you lose access to your normal abilities but are granted a set of new ones.
You are currently always offered the Howling Soul Core (right).
The special thing is: Other players can click on the Chorus of Souls and effectively “hop on” to become part of the Chorus of Souls. These additional players can continue to use their normal spells and abilities but share movement with the spirit. The player of the Chorus of Souls essentially controls a “vehicle” from which the other players can act and attack.
You are effectively a large bundle of destruction.
The Chorus of Souls has powerful abilities
What can the Chorus of Souls do? The player of the Chorus of Souls has no access to their normal abilities. Instead, they can use the following skills:
Wailing Shot: A spell with a medium cooldown that deals high damage to a single target.
Painful Scream: An area spell around the player with no cooldown that deals medium damage and interrupts spellcasting.
Phase Shift: A protective spell that temporarily reduces damage taken by 90% and can be used while casting other spells.
Winding Shadows: A teleport spell that brings you instantly to a target point up to 30 meters away.
Return to Existence: This ends the form of the Chorus of Souls. You can activate it again without cooldown.
As a creature of the Chorus of Souls, you look creepy – but you have great abilities.
What new Anima powers are there? The event brings a plethora of new Anima powers that enhance or alter the Chorus of Souls. The cool thing about this is that the event is clearly designed for groups. Because even players who have not taken on the form of the Soul Chorus can choose enhancements that are active while they stick to the Chorus of Souls!
But let’s start with the Anima powers that the active Chorus of Souls player can choose:
Unlikely Changeable Sphere: Increases the maximum number of charges of your Phase Shift by 1.
Eerie Amplifier: The cooldown of Wailing Shot is reduced by 2 seconds.
Aural Fracture: Wailing Shot causes targets to burst their eardrums, dealing additional damage every 2 seconds for 12 seconds.
Screaming Statues: The range of Painful Scream is increased by 5 meters.
Variable Boost: Phase Shift heals all nearby players for a large amount.
Incorporeal Wave: Phase Shift increases your movement speed by 50% for 6 seconds.
Distorted Idol: Increases the maximum number of charges of Winding Shadows by 2 and reduces the cooldown by 2 seconds.
Brand of Instability: As long as you take on the form of the Chorus of Souls, your movement speed is increased by 10%.
Hanging Soul Catcher: Each time you take on the form of the Chorus of Souls or return to physical form, you are healed for a massive amount. This can only be triggered every 15 seconds.
Soul Explosion Talisman: Each time you return to your physical form after being in the Chorus of Souls, you deal high damage to all enemies within 15 meters and blind them for 8 seconds. This can only be triggered every 15 seconds.
With enough of these bonuses, you are effectively a “Turbo Spirit” that carries the group through the realms.
You can always further improve the Chorus of Souls.
What can the other players choose? All other players also get special Anima powers offered, as long as at least one player has selected the Soul Core. The bonuses are active as long as you are part of the Chorus of Souls, meaning you are attached to that player.
Aegis of the Lost Souls: As long as you are part of the Chorus of Souls, your damage taken is reduced by 25%.
Distorted Hourglass: While you are part of the Chorus of Souls, time passes 20% faster for you.
One of Many: While you are part of the Chorus of Souls, you deal 25% more damage and healing.
The Spectral Hands of Arcadnes: While you are part of the Chorus of Souls, your auto attacks deal 100% more damage and the attack range for auto attacks is increased by 20 meters.
Arcadnes’ Mark of the Feast: Each time a Chorus of Souls (that you belong to) uses Phase Shift, you are healed for a medium amount every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
Arcadnes’ Ritual Mask: Each time a Chorus of Souls (that you belong to) casts Winding Shadows, you gain 50% critical hit chance for 8 seconds.
Essence Siphon: As long as you are part of the Chorus of Souls, you receive 50% more Phantasma.
However, you should not forget: All the other Anima powers from Torghast are still available. This leads to crazy combinations that are sure to elicit many laughs.
Who benefits from this event? In general, this event is much more fun when you play in a group of at least three people. It’s incredibly fun to “stick” to a player navigating through Torghast while you just throw abilities in all directions. The new Anima powers accompanying this event make it a pleasure for almost every class.
If you’re already fed up with Torghast, you should give the event a chance and complete one or two wings – it’s definitely worth it just for the fun.
More updates around WoW: Shadowlands can be found here:
Cortyn says: I have only briefly looked into the event with my guild so far, but that was enough to clearly say: This Torghast event is far better than the first one with the dogs. It feels much more dynamic, changes gameplay in interesting ways, and provides a lot of laughs.
It’s definitely worth making just one player the Chorus of Souls, who then leads the group. The best choice for that is a tank, as they retain their stats and can take a lot of damage.
However, the event also has its pitfalls. If the Chorus of Souls player boldly jumps into the abyss after a teleport, the entire group will die. But this makes these undertakings even more fun.
Have you checked out the event yet? Do you find it fun or do you think such transformations are rather silly?

Destiny 2 and part 1 do not offer an open world where many players gather like in an MMORPG. Instead, there are hubs. There, everyone meets to form groups for mission areas. This is very well received – but not in all online games.
How does Destiny work? Players meet in a social hub, such as the Tower. There, it is possible to join groups or just hang out together.
Subsequently, these player groups set off to complete missions. These take place in so-called instances, therefore in private areas. There you won’t encounter other players except for those in the group.
Although there are areas in Destiny where you can meet random players, the missions are mostly instanced.
This game principle is very well received in Destiny 1 and 2 and has ensured great success for the loot shooter series alongside other elements like excellent gunplay, the loot system, and the console release.
In Destiny 2 there are hubs where players meet to then complete missions in small groups.
What is the problem? Instances, however, are not well received in all online games. In MMORPGs, they are even considered by old-school players as the feature that has supposedly “broken” the genre.
The fact that only a few players are alone in instanced areas goes against some people’s idea of what an MMO should be. Namely, encountering players who are not part of the party. Instances go against the social aspect in massively multiplayer online games. Meetings in dungeons or camping to defeat bosses are eliminated.
Objectively speaking, instances have actually benefited the genre. They have ensured that even those who just want to quietly complete their quests and enjoy a story want to play. Either with a small group of friends or even alone. These players feel disturbed or even annoyed by others in MMOs without instances, which can ruin their enjoyment of the game.
Where do instances actually come from?
Is this really so new? Destiny is not the first game to offer this kind of online gameplay with hubs and instances. The first MMORPG that introduced something like this was The Realm Online from 1996.
In this game, battles take place not in the open world, but in private zones.

The MMORPG The Realm Online introduced instances to the genre.
The MMORPG classic Tibia also offers instances and has been doing so since around 2001. This was during the then most difficult task, the Annihilator Quest (via Tibia History). During this quest, it was possible to obtain the strongest weapons through the tough boss fight. Even today, this mission is still one of the most popular boss quests.
The still successful RuneScape, which was released in 2001, allows quests to take place in areas separated from the actual game world. This was introduced so that players could be by themselves during boss fights.
Guild Wars from 2005 also offers instanced gameplay. Up to 100 players meet in towns and then form groups of 2 to 12 members. They then set off together to experience quests in instances.
More trivia articles about MMOs and MMORPGs on MeinMMO:
Especially Phantasy Star Online from 2000 and its successor Phantasy Star Online 2 from 2012 have become very well-known and successful in Asia due to this feature. Here too, there are large hubs where players meet. They form groups and then experience their personal adventures in mission areas that no other players can access.
Ironically, PSO did not achieve the success in this country that the game enjoys in Asia. One could say that instances in this country found real acceptance only with Destiny among the wider mass of players. PSO was evidently ahead of its time.
In Phantasy Star Online 2, the quests take place in instances.
What does the future look like? Since instances are not well-received by everyone, there are now projects that want to return to the roots in the MMORPG sector. This includes Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. The online role-playing game sees itself as a spiritual successor to Everquest 1 and focuses on group play. There are not supposed to be any instances. You will meet players everywhere in the game – even in dungeons.
However, this does not mean that we will have to do without games that use instances in the future. This feature will remain with us. It is basically indispensable from the genre of online games. Therefore, it will be very interesting to see how a title like Pantheon will be received, which does not offer instances.
What do you think about instances? Do they already belong to MMOs for you, or would you prefer if there were none?

In Pokémon GO you can now choose an edition of the Kanto Tour. We will show you who benefits from red or green and help you decide.
What is it about? On February 20, 2020, the Kanto Tour event starts in Pokémon GO. Many trainers are looking forward to it, because during the event day there will be many shinies to see – even 7 new shiny Pokémon will be added to the game. Those who purchase a ticket can now decide for one of the two event versions. You can choose between the colors red and green.
How does it work? If you start Pokémon GO now, it is possible to choose an edition.
Start Pokémon GO
Open your inventory via the Pokéball
Scroll down until you find the blue ticket
Tap the ticket once
A text window will open, at the end of which you will find two green buttons
Select the version you want to use
Confirm that in the next step again
Now you are ready for the event
Keep in mind that you can only choose the version once. So make sure beforehand which color you decide on.
What differences are there between red and green? The version choice affects which spawns you receive in the wild through the incense module. In addition, the chances of certain shinies increase depending on the choice of edition.
We have created an overview graphic for you, where you can see directly what impact the version choice has for you:
So it mainly depends on which Pokémon you definitely want to catch during the event. Make your selection based on that.
If you are linked with a group in Pokémon and regularly trade Pokémon, it is beneficial if you use both the red and green versions within the group. This way, you can exchange the shinies that others have missed.
Which edition will you choose? In our survey, we want to know which of the two editions you are choosing. Simply vote for red or green. Feel free to write us here on MeinMMO in the comments why you chose the respective version.
In the coming weeks, Pokémon GO will offer several events for your entertainment. Familiar raid bosses will return, spotlight hours await with exciting rewards, and the Valentine’s Day event will spread love in the wild. In the overview of all events in February 2021 in Pokémon GO you will see everything that is coming up.

They have a crossed circle as a symbol, and “energy chains” swirl around their bodies. They constantly charge at you and can heal themselves. Some variants also teleport ceaselessly across the battlefield.

Here’s how to disrupt them: To make the monsters stop, you need to force them with overload rounds. A weapon with this will achieve the desired disruption effect after a few shots, so keep firing.
Once the opponent is disrupted, they remain exhausted and take additional damage. You can only disrupt an overload champion again when their chains are no longer glowing white.
Unstoppable Champions:
They have an enormous amount of health, high defense, and are very aggressive. You can recognize them by a square next to their name. They also wear a kind of antler on their head or back.

In Destiny 2, powerful champions stand in your way, which you can only defeat using specific tactics. Everything about Barrier and Overload champions and how to stop unstoppable foes.
Since the expansion Shadowkeep, you must face Champions in Destiny 2. These tricky enemies cannot usually be overrun with brute force but require the appropriate counter.
MeinMMO tells you what champions are, the different types there are, and how to fight them properly.
What are champions in Destiny 2?
Champions are special versions of known enemies. These mini-bosses can only be effectively defeated with special weapons or mods. Otherwise, they heal themselves or are nearly unstoppable without the right counter.
Are there different champions?
Yes, there are 3 types of champions, each marked with their own symbol above their head and requiring different tactics from you.
Where can you find champions in Destiny 2?
Champions are mainly found in endgame activities such as Nightfall: The Ordeal. But they also appear in tough missions, legendary lost sectors, and raids. If you have to fight a champion, this is usually noted in the activity description.
[toc]
How to properly fight champions
What you need: To stop champions with their special abilities, you need “anti-champion mods.” You can always find them in your seasonal artifact. Each mod specifies which champion you counter.
Your weapons benefit from these mods, gaining special effects that usually only work against one type of champion. You install the mods on your armor, even though they enhance your weapons. You can also equip more than one mod at a time.
Equip anti-champion mods on your armor
What you need to keep in mind: When a champion is interrupted, it is displayed for the entire fireteam in the lower left corner of the screen. Some mods and perks also gain bonus effects when you interrupt a champion.
Some exotic weapons come with the ability to combat champions by default.
You can also find mods in the artifact that empower your grenades to disrupt champions or grant you melee attacks that can stop champions. Some supers, stasis skills, or dealing a lot of damage at once can also break through champions’ defenses by themselves.
Barrier Champions
These enemies have a small triangle symbol above their head. You can damage them with all weapons and abilities, but if you deal enough damage, they generate a shield – their barrier.
As long as they are surrounded by the reddish aura, you cannot damage them with regular weapons, and they heal their health completely. They can do this repeatedly in a fight.

The Korean company NCSoft has published the report for the 4th quarter of 2020. It contains the sales figures of its games. Notably, Aion has shown significant growth. Also, Guild Wars 2 is performing slightly better at the end of 2020 than in the previous year.
What do the numbers say? NCSoft has published the sales figures for the months of October, November, and December 2020. The jump in Aion is particularly striking.
In Guild Wars 2, there is again a slight downward trend, also because the previous quarter was very strong. Otherwise, NCSoft continues to benefit primarily from the two mobile games Lineage M and Lineage 2M.
The revenues of NCSoft’s individual games.
Aion is stronger than it has been since 2016
What is currently happening with Aion? Aion has seen the largest increase of all NCSoft games:
From previously 8.5 billion Won (6.2 million Euros), the MMORPG has improved to 18.8 billion Won (13.9 million Euros). Thus, the revenue has more than doubled.
It last reached such high figures in the first quarter of 2016, when 20.1 billion Won were generated.
The significant increase was mainly due to the classic servers in Korea, which even surpassed WoW. Aion was released in Korea in 2008 and has undergone many major changes since then. Similar to WoW, many players longed for a classic version. This wish was fulfilled at the end of 2020.
However, over here in the West, nothing is felt. There are no classic servers available, and “normal Aion” is rather in a crisis. Private classic servers operated by players are said to have even better numbers than the official servers of the MMORPG.
The figures and statistics indicate that it is primarily the mobile games Lineage M and Lineage 2M that account for the lion’s share of revenue. Around 280 million of the 370 million Euros come from the mobile games.
An overview of all NCSoft games with a preview of 2021.
Are there new PC games? The only MMORPG currently announced by NCSoft for PC is Project TL. It is reminiscent of Lost Ark and is expected to be released in 2021. However, gameplay of the game has not been shown since 2018.
Nevertheless, it is considered one of the most promising online games set to be released in 2021. In addition to new titles, there are also significant updates and expansions for MMORPG fans. We have summarized everything here:
Valheim is currently a top seller on Steam. The hardware requirements for the game are so low that it should even run on an old PC. MeinMMO presents the system requirements for Valheim.
What is Valheim? Valheim is a cooperative survival game for 1 to 10 players. You find yourself as a Viking in a vast, procedurally generated world where you must survive and overcome various adversities. The entire game world is based on Norse mythology.
However, Valheim is exciting for another reason: the game runs smoothly even on old computers. So if you have an old PC sitting in your closet, it’s quite possible that the new survival hit on Steam will run on that old machine as well.
In the following section, we want to present the hardware requirements for Valheim.
Valheim runs on weak computers as well
Valheim requires very few resources and therefore runs on less powerful devices.
Storage and RAM: With about 1 GB, the game is not very large, and it also requires a minimum of 4 GB of RAM. Since Windows 10 already demands a minimum of 4 GB of RAM, this should not be a significant issue.
Operating System: Officially, the game still supports Windows 7 and Windows 8. However, for security reasons, we would recommend that you no longer use the older versions of Windows and upgrade to Windows 10.
Alternatively, the game can also be played smoothly on Linux. The requirements here are no different from those of the Windows version.
Current Valheim system requirements:
Minimum
Recommended
Processor
2.6 GHz Dual Core
I5 4 GHz or better
RAM
4 GB
8 GB
Graphics
GeForce GTX 500
GeForce GTX 970 or similar
Processor requirements for Valheim in detail
Is a laptop or entry-level processor sufficient? As a minimum, you need a dual-core processor with at least 2.6 GHz. Today, almost every laptop and desktop PC should be able to meet this requirement. Intel’s Celeron and Pentium series, as well as AMD’s Athlon and A series, offer more performance today.
Modern processors like the Intel i3, which is available with both 2 and 4 cores, as well as the Ryzen 3 3200 G, the weakest current AMD processor, can easily handle the game.
Graphics requirements of Valheim in detail
What is the minimum requirement? Valheim recommends a GeForce GTX 500 or similar performance as the minimum. This would be comparable to the Radeon HD 6870. Both graphics cards are now about 10 years old.
Intel’s HD Graphics or AMD’s Radeon RX Vega 7 can run the survival game Valheim without any problems and offer more performance than the minimum recommendations.
If your PC already has low-end graphics cards like a GeForce GT 1030 or a Radeon RX 550 installed, the processing power of those graphics cards should be completely sufficient, and you should be able to play without issues.
What do I need for high settings: The developers of Valheim recommend a GeForce GTX 970. This is an old high-end model from 2014, comparable to the Radeon R9 290, also from 2014.
If you want to play Valheim at high settings in 2021, you don’t need a high-end graphics card. A GTX 1060 or an RX 570, both of which offer comparable performance, will suffice. These are also entry-level graphics cards. You do not need an RTX 3090 like this YouTuber for Minecraft.
Valheim with low vs high settings – Here’s what it looks like
A YouTuber showcased how the game runs with a GeForce GTX 750 in his video. The card is now 5 years old. In the video, he presents both low and high settings.

Where are the differences? The biggest differences between the graphics settings lie primarily in the lighting and texture details. While the game looks blurry and muddy on the lowest settings, you get nicer textures and a significantly more realistic lighting at higher settings.
If the game doesn’t start: If for whatever reason the game still doesn’t start on your PC, Steam offers you a refund policy: If you play for less than 2 hours within 14 days, you can return the game without giving any reasons.
Have you already given Valheim a chance and are playing it, or are you still unsure about what to think of the new top title on Steam? If you want to know what it plays like: On MeinMMO, you can find a preview report on Valheim that explains what is so good about the title.

The hype around GTA 5 Online on the livestreaming platform Twitch has been reignited. For a brief moment, the action game was even ranked number 1 among the most viewed titles. But why?
What is happening with GTA 5? This year, GTA 5 will be 8 years old. Just a few days ago, the game made all other titles on Twitch look old. The action game is booming again on Twitch. For a brief moment, over 400,000 viewers were watching GTA 5 streams simultaneously.
The reason for this is not new content from Rockstar Games itself, but a server from the community.
Roleplay helps GTA 5 (once again) rise
What’s new: The NoPixel 3.0 roleplay server for GTA Online has now launched. Many streamers, some of whom have also been roleplaying on older versions, are now returning to the RP world of GTA 5. This pleases the viewers and simultaneously boosts the numbers on Twitch significantly.
In the tweet from Rod Breslau, you can see that the viewer numbers are even surpassing popular titles like League of Legends or the hyped Rust.

Over 413,000 people watched GTA 5 streams simultaneously on February 5, 2021.
According to the website Sullygnome, the peak on Sunday, February 7, was even at 438,000 viewers simultaneously. Big streamers currently participating in the RP in GTA 5 are:
xQc
sodapoppin
pokelawls
forsen
LIRIK
In roleplaying gaming, players take on roles of various fictional characters, which they usually invent themselves. Players use the respective game they are in (like GTA V) as a backdrop to tell their own stories or interact with other roleplayers. Such interactions always happen from the perspective of the character being played.
In the following graphic, you can see how the average viewer numbers and the most simultaneous viewers increased in the last 90 days for GTA Online.

You have the opportunity to play criminals, police officers, or even “normal” citizens. You come up with a story for the character you want to embody. An employee at the burger joint who has to deliver the right ingredients to his boss can be just as interesting as a criminal who secretly fans the flames between others.
Anyone who gets caught ends up in the police station or even in court. Together with a lawyer, the goal is to convince those present that you are innocent or less guilty.

Anyone wanting to participate has to grab one of the coveted spots. Currently (February 9, 2021), the spots for the “regular whitelisting” are closed. Only donors can apply (via nopixel.net). It takes about 14 to 30 days to get a decision on your application.
Only when your application has been approved will you receive a spot on the server and be allowed to play.
Have you now gotten a desire to start roleplaying in GTA Online? Decide for yourself whether you first want to check out the big streamers on Twitch and remain a silent observer, or if you want to take the reins yourself.
First screenshots of a mysterious stranger in Valheim have appeared on reddit, seemingly observing the players. The first theories about who this might be are already circulating online.
Shortly after its release in Early Access on Steam, the survival game Valheim is enjoying great popularity. At peak times, over 130,000 players were online simultaneously, catapulting the Viking adventure into the top 10 on Steam.
How the mysterious figure looks: The mysterious figure wears a black robe and holds a kind of staff in their right hand. Their aura is surrounded by white smoke. On reddit, the user “Alien_effigy” posted a screenshot of the appearance:

What players are considering: In Norse mythology, Odin is the father of the gods and visits the mortal world as a wanderer. The world of Valheim was created by Odin and serves as a prison for his enemies and a place to train his warriors. It is quite conceivable that the mysterious stranger is Odin himself.
What else supports this: In another post on reddit, the user “higgscribe” writes that Odin paid them homage after they defeated the third boss. The screenshot shows the mysterious figure standing in the background. It seems like Odin wants to thank his warriors.
reddit user “higgscribe” saw the mysterious stranger in the swamp.
On reddit, some players further describe that the stranger has a single glowing eye. These statements are confirmed by a screenshot showing the stranger with a glowing eye. The description fits Odin, as he sacrificed an eye to see into the future.
Where can I find the figure? Many appearances of the figure so far indicate a connection to the swamp biome. MeinMMO author Benedict Grothaus has already encountered the stranger in a grassland near a swamp biome and some mountains. He describes the encounter as follows:
“He suddenly stood right in front of me and then disappeared into black smoke after a few seconds.”
Who else could it be? In the swamp biome, there is a ghostly appearance known as the Wraith, which wears dark hoods and looks similar. However, Wraiths lack the eye and the staff. Additionally, they are aggressive.
On reddit, there are also some players who believe the figure to be the Grim Reaper. User TextBookHuman writes on reddit:
I believe that is Harald. I read about a rune stone about Harald who lost an eye due to a stag and needed a walking stick after battling a duck. The figure also appeared next to the stone.
There is little to suggest that the mysterious stranger is not Odin. The appearance and manifestation indicate that the father of the gods himself is visiting the players to witness their progress.
The MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising (PC, Mobile) presents itself in a new gameplay trailer. However, curiously, it lacks any co-players.
What kind of game is Odin? The new MMORPG transports you to a world of Norse mythology. You’ll encounter figures like Odin or Thor and travel to places such as Midgard, Jötunheim, Nidawellir, and Albenheim, featuring various biomes like snowy landscapes, deep forests, mountains, cities, and expansive meadows.
There, you’ll face monsters like giants or dragons and have to fight them. You can access hard-to-reach places by climbing, flying on dragons, pegasi, or giant moths, and traveling by ship.
What can be seen in the trailer? The new trailer showcases some of the locations you’ll visit in the MMORPG, including the forests of Albenheim and the dwarven kingdom of Nidawellir.
The hero wanders through these areas, rides, flies, or climbs. He visits towns, meets NPCs, and rushes past monsters on horseback.
All of this looks impressive and beautiful thanks to Unreal Engine 4. The lighting effects create a cohesive atmosphere. The locations appear detailed and full of life.
This is how good the trailer for Odin looks:

What is strange about the trailer? The video shows gameplay from the MMORPG Odin, yet besides the hero, no other players can be seen, not even in the city. The character is completely alone in the vast area – aside from NPCs or monsters.
This seems somewhat odd when a developer wants to present a new MMORPG. Players want to see how groups interact or what happens in the towns when multiple players meet and trade. That’s what makes an MMORPG.
Why might there be no players visible? The video mainly revolves around showcasing the locations, landscapes, and graphics of Odin: Valhalla Rising. This works better when not many co-players are present in one area. If only one character is visible, the focus can be placed more on the landscapes and visuals.
Not showing other players probably had aesthetic reasons.
When will the game be released? Odin: Valhalla Rising is set to be released in 2021 in South Korea and Taiwan for PC and smartphones. It is planned to be released internationally “shortly thereafter.” However, an exact date has not yet been announced.
What do you think about the new gameplay trailer for the MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising? If you are generally interested in mobile MMORPGs, you can find an interesting selection in the MeinMMO article on mobile MMORPGs to keep an eye on or that you can already play.

Last Chance: You should have submitted your Crucible Tokens at Destiny 2 before today’s maintenance. Otherwise, you may regret it.
What is happening today in Destiny 2? Today in Destiny 2, Season 12 ends with the Weekly Reset (or maintenance). After the maintenance and the new update 3.1.0, the new Season 13, the Season of the Chosen, will start immediately after.
There will be some familiar things, such as weekly bounties, running differently than before. And for one thing, you should hurry up especially because of the upcoming changes – namely the Crucible Tokens. You have only a few hours left for that.
Turn in your Crucible Tokens – they will be gone soon
If you don’t want them to expire uselessly, you should redeem them now – and you have until 5:45 PM. Then the servers will shut down before update 3.1.0 arrives and the new season starts.
Trade the tokens with Shaxx now for something useful (Source: @saboe627 on Twitter)
If you don’t redeem them, you’ll just lose them – with no benefit at all. However, if you turn them in now to Lord Shaxx in the Tower, you might pull some interesting gear items from them or at least gather some resources like weapon parts or enhancement cores. Far better than letting the tokens expire.
Also, note: The larger your stock, the longer it will take. It can indeed take a while before you’ve redeemed the Crucible Tokens in batches of 10.
What about the other tokens? Other tokens, like those from the Vanguard, are not affected by this (at least for now). It specifically concerns only the Crucible Tokens and Crucible.
This could take a while… And this is just a fraction of what some have hoarded
What else should you consider before the end of Season 12? The Crucible Tokens are likely among the most important things to keep in mind at the end of the outgoing season and at the start of the new season. However, a few other aspects are also worth mentioning. You can find out more here: 6 things in Destiny 2 that you should do before the end of Season 12
If you’re wondering as a regular reader or player: Yes, we have already reported on this in various articles and pointed it out. But apparently not everyone has noticed yet why there is now urgent action needed regarding this – I had to realize this myself this morning in conversations with some gaming buddies. However, especially at this point, it can be particularly bitter in the end if you miss it. So one last call to all Guardians – specifically about the tokens.
How about you? Are you already well prepared for the start of the new season? Have you forgotten anything? Or are you completely indifferent to it now and letting Season 13 come to you? Let us know in the comments, as well as other readers from MeinMMO.
Google is in trouble with a user: Andrew Spinks (37) was locked out of his Google account and is very upset that no one is helping him. Bad luck for Google: Spinks is the developer behind the Steam hit “Terraria” and is now canceling the release of Terraria for Google Stadia in sheer anger.
What did Google do to the man? As Spinks writes on Twitter, he has some issues with Google. Google banned him from all platforms 3 weeks ago – his account was deactivated. Spinks doesn’t know why and isn’t able to reach Google. No one tells him anything, just referring him to the next person. The 37-year-old is certainly not aware of any guilt.
The loss of the Google account has serious consequences for Spinks (via Twitter):
As a result, Spinks has “lost thousands of dollars worth of apps” that he no longer has access to
he bought The Lord of the Rings in 4K but can’t finish watching it now
his data on Google Drive is gone
he can no longer access his YouTube channel
And he has lost access to the email account he has been using for 15 years
Spinks says: He doesn’t even know what he did wrong. But he sees it this way:
“I can only understand it this way: you have decided to burn all bridges with me. Consider it done. Terraria for Google Stadia is canceled. My company will not support any of your platforms anymore.
I want nothing to do with a company that values its partners so little.”
Andrew Spinks
Unmistakable art style: This is Terraria.
“Release of Terraria on Google Stadia is canceled!”
Why is this critical?Terraria is an absolute cult hit on Steam: It came out on PC in 2011 and has over 536,500 reviews on the Steam platform – of which 98% are positive. It only costs €10.
In Google’s own app store, Terraria is ranked 8 among the most popular paid games, behind “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, but ahead of Grand Theft Auto 5. There, Terraria has 311,721 reviews and a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars.
People love the quirky open-world game in 2D style because it offers a tremendous amount of freedom and has been developed so well. Terraria comes from the indie studio Re-Logic, a team of about 12 people, led by Andrew Spinks.
Google Stadia is already struggling with a limited selection of games, so hits like Terraria would be important fuel.
The ultimate revenge of the banned, who feels powerless
What it’s about: Many people get extremely upset every day when they are banned by a company and feel powerless and that they can do nothing about it. They often have revenge fantasies about how they can make themselves heard. They dream of the possibility of showing a big company like David vs. Goliath.
Spinks is in the position to actually carry out this revenge fantasy. Ultimately, however, he is depriving players on Google Stadia of the chance to rediscover his game for themselves.
His reaction is still understandable: The ban shows how powerful Google is and in how many ways a ban from Google can affect a person. Losing YouTube, an email account, and apps might be bearable, but the poor man cannot finish watching The Lord of the Rings in 4K. That violates human rights conventions.
Terraria is among our 25 best survival games to play in 2021:
CD Projekt Red, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, announced on Twitter that they became the target of a cyber attack. The company is being extorted with stolen data, but went public and showed the letter from the attacker.
What happened? As the studio reports, a hacker gained access to the company’s network and stole data. However, it is said that no personal data of the players was involved, as CD Projekt Red explained in a statement.
Instead, it seems to be internal data such as documents from the finance department and HR, as well as source codes of games.
The thief tried to extort CD Projekt Red by threatening to “leak” the data to journalists. The developers decided to make the case public.

What is the studio doing? As CD Projekt Red stated, they will not comply with the extortionist’s demands. Instead, steps have been initiated to restore the data.
In addition, the studio is taking legal action against the hacker:
We have already contacted the relevant authorities, including law enforcement and the President of the Office for the Protection of Personal Data, and will work closely with them to fully clarify this incident.
CD Projekt Red is one of the largest publishers in Europe but has been heavily criticized for the release of Cyberpunk 2077. Reasons for this include general bugs in the game, significant problems on the old console generation PS4 and Xbox One, as well as the crunch that occurred beforehand.
In January, the head of the game commented on the allegations:

To help you keep track, here we present an overview of all events:
A new week, a new wave of nerfs. The 4 most difficult dungeons in World of Warcraft are getting adjustments and will be easier.
The fine-tuning in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is still not complete months after the release. Some dungeons, like “The Other Side,” are still significantly harder than others. Blizzard is making adjustments and is rolling out a series of hotfixes in the next weekly reset, which will ease some of the challenges in the dungeons.
All Dungeon Nerfs for February 10, 2021 in WoW
In total, 4 of the 8 available dungeons will be adjusted and receive minor nerfs. Especially the timer for The Other Side will be loosened a bit.
The Other Side
The time limit for mythic keystones has been increased from 41 minutes to 43 minutes.
Hakkar
Son of Hakkar now deals 50% less damage with melee attacks.
The damage of Blood Nova has been reduced by 20%.
Merchant Xy’exa
The damage of Arcane Blast has been reduced by 25%.
Necrotic Wake
Nalthor the Icebinder
The duration of Gift of the Champion has been increased from 15 seconds to 30 seconds.
Spires of Ascension
Ventunax
The duration of Dark Step has been reduced from 20 seconds to 15 seconds.
Theater of Pain
Xav the Unbeaten now has 10% less health points.
More news about WoW: Shadowlands can be found here:
Bosses have become easier for the Tyrannical week: All changes affect only the boss fights, which should be particularly helpful in the upcoming Tyrannical week. The affix “Tyrannical” strengthens the bosses and has been considered significantly harder by WoW players compared to other affixes. Uncontrollable elements, like the Sons of Hakkar, are now less of a problem, and with Nalthor in the Necrotic Wake, DPS players now benefit from a longer buff, which should shorten the boss fight by a few seconds.
When do the changes go live? Already tomorrow, February 9, with the end of maintenance work. If you complete mythic dungeons for the upcoming WoW week, the changes should already be noticeable.
Do you find the adjustments good and meaningful? Or is Blizzard overdoing it a bit with the nerfs?
The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) has been significantly expanded since its release in 2014. A player shows how large the game world has become using the map of Tamriel.
What regions did ESO start with? The MMORPG launched in April 2014 on PC (and in June 2015 on PS4 and Xbox One) with only a few areas of the continent Tamriel. Players could explore areas of the regions High Rock, Hammerfell, Valenwood, Skyrim, and Morrowind, as well as participate in PvP in Cyrodiil.
How has the map changed? On reddit, ESO player SrednaKrom published a video showing how the map has changed. Each expansion and several DLCs brought new locations. You can see how the map looked in 2014 and how it looks now in 2021:

What does the comparison show? The comparison demonstrates that you can now explore about twice as many areas as before. Particularly in the regions of Skyrim and Elsweyr, a lot has changed. A part of Black Marsh has also been added, and the island of Summerset can be completely explored.
The comparison also shows that there are still many areas on the continent that have not been explored yet, and where plenty of adventures are still waiting for the players.
What does this mean? This year we will explore the Blackwood, a large area located in the land of Black Marsh. This adds another large part of the continent. Additionally, we will be heading to Oblivion.
But as can be seen on the map, there is still much to explore. Zenimax Online has a lot to do before ESO players can truly travel all of Tamriel. This bodes well for many more years full of content, where gradually more locations will become accessible.

And what if Tamriel is complete? If Tamriel can become fully explored in ESO in the future, then there are still other continents waiting to be explored.
The planet Nirn, on which Tamriel is located, still offers the sunken realm of Yokuda in the west, the continent Aldmeris, and the land of Pyandonea in the south, Akavir in the east, and the icy Atmora in the north – at least those are the places that are known so far.
ESO could therefore still run for a very, very long time if Zenimax plans for you to be able to travel all of Nirn.
