Riot Games has officially clarified in a short story that two of their champions in League of Legends are a lesbian couple: Leona and Diana. The LoL short story has not been released in China and Russia.
This is the situation:
For 5 years, it has been suspected that the two LoL champions Leona (The Radiant Dawn) and Diana (The Hecatomb of the Moon) could be a couple. This would be the first homosexual couple in League of Legends. However, this was not further explored and remained limited to fan speculation.
During the event for Pride Month, it was already hinted that the two are a couple. In a new short story on the LoL website “Rise with Me,” the relationship between Leona and Diana is now explored in more detail.
The story cannot be found on the Chinese LoL website; only the poem that precedes the short story is available. The Russian LoL website even lacks the entire entry.
A Schoolgirl Romance in the World of League of Legends
What is the short story about? The short story “Rise with Me” takes place during the school years of Diana and Leona. They are about 14 years old. The two schoolgirls sit in the same rhetoric class and participate in combat training. They apparently show an interest in each other early on.
Leona asks Diana for tutoring in rhetoric. The two debate theological questions: Diana is known as a talented rhetorician, while Leona feels more comfortable with sword fighting:
Diana repeatedly earns the wrath of the teachers for her radical approaches due to “blasphemy.” She is absorbed in her own thoughts.
Leona is seen as a good model student who wants to make her parents and teachers proud.
A delicate teenage romance develops: Leona thinks carefully about how to ask Diana on a date. Diana dreams of escaping the strict confines of education and running away with Leona.
In the meantime, a crisis arises: Diana believes Leona only wants to “convert” her and has no real interest in her. Misunderstandings develop, leading to conflicts, but these are quickly resolved.
The story ends with a kiss between the two.
During Pride Month, Leona and Diana were already depicted as a couple: a clear sign.
LoL Community Receives Story Warmly and Heartily
This is how the story was received: Users discuss the story on Reddit. One user bemusedly notes: All typical clichés of a “Shoujo-Ai” anime have been crammed into a story, even a summer festival is included.
“Shoujo-Ai” stories come from the Japanese area of manga and anime. These are stories that revolve around the romantic relationship between two women.
However, the story is generally received very warmly and heartily. It is the “LoL equivalent of a romance in a debate team,” but set against the backdrop of a fantasy world.
The details of the characters that emerge even at a young age are also appreciated. For example, there is humor in a quote from Leona, who says: “She does not want people to perceive her as merely decent – she is quite funny.”
Leona has always been seen as somewhat of a conservative figure in LoL.
In Destiny 2, you will soon receive a cosmetic as a gift, but dataminers are already selling the special emblem to unsuspecting Guardians. Bungie has now issued a purchase warning.
Spoiler warning: This is about an item that will be added to the game later. If you want to be surprised, you have been warned.
Don’t fall for this: In Destiny 2, some players are currently selling codes for a rare item that isn’t even properly in the game yet. It’s about an emblem, a cosmetic that decorates your Guardian and your interface.
Dataminers have found the emblem “A Classy Order” in the entries for the ongoing Season 14.
On top of that, the database hackers also found codes that allow you to activate the emblem on your account now.
It is currently being sold under the name “Spicy Ramen Coupon” emblem.
But Bungie firmly states: “Don’t buy that, it will be a free gift!”
The purchase warning was issued by Community Manager Dylan “dmg04” Gaffner from Bungie late on Monday night:

When will the item be free? As mentioned in the Twitter post, the emblem will be available as a gift on Bungie Day. Bungie Day is celebrated every year on July 7. Whether you need to do something specific for it is currently unknown.
The number 7 holds great significance for Bungie and in their games, appearing frequently – sometimes hidden and sometimes completely open like on Bungie Day. This has been a tradition since Halo.
However, the Bungie Day was initiated by the community. Bungie liked it so much that on July 7, there are always gifts, special codes, and artworks for the players. The “7th Column” is, for example, one of the rarest and most sought-after medals in PvP. It goes back to the 7-pointed gear, which is often seen at Bungie.
The 7 has snuck onto the Bungie emblem
This irritates Bungie: In his Twitter post, Gaffner also expressed his frustration with leakers and dataminers. He urged them to stop revealing story details or emblem codes prematurely. He knows it’s cool to be the first person with such fresh information – but Gaffner appeals to not spoil the joy for others.
At MeinMMO, we also place a spoiler warning at the beginning of articles in cases of leaks. This way, every reader can decide for themselves.
Bungie pays respect to fan favorite Cayde
Why is the emblem so special? The emblem is a direct reference to Cayde-6, the Guardian who passed away in 2018. The wisecracker, space cowboy, and lovable scoundrel was the most popular NPC for many players.
At the start of the celebrated Forsaken expansion, Cayde was murdered, which sparked the Western revenge story of the expansion.
Noodles (ramen) were Cayde’s favorite food, and there is also a corresponding snack shop in the Tower.
The successor to Cayde-6 has still not been found, even now, over 3 years later. Although Bungie is doing everything to replace Cayde soon … with a candidate that many would prefer dead than alive.
Of course, there are no missing Ramen in the official Destiny cookbook
Moreover, the emblem is rare, simply because it is not yet normally in the game. Some Guardians show off with it. After all, all players always see what emblem a Guardian carries in every activity, before a match starts or when inspecting in the social space.
Because Bungie had deleted the original noodle coupon for inventory cleanup, a small war broke out in 2020:
What do you think about this? Does such spoilers annoy you, or do you understand that as a Guardian, you want to know everything right away? What probably doesn’t sit well are the brazen scammers who sell the code to unsuspecting players to make a quick buck/euro before Bungie Day. Let us know your opinion in the comments.

At the same time, however, the other side is also pointed out. Namely, if there really is something good in the pack.
“It could even encourage people to buy FIFA Points. You can preview a 100k pack even if you don’t have the coins to open it. If there’s a sick card like a Moments Icon worth 5 million, are you telling me you won’t load money and open packs until you can open the 100k pack?” writes a user (via reddit).
How would you handle the preview if it were in FIFA 22? Would you buy fewer packs because you can see in advance what’s inside? Or could it even lead to more purchases if you see that a worthwhile player is hidden in the pack? Participate in our survey and share your thoughts in the comments!
What about the preview in FIFA 22? Another point being discussed in the community is whether the feature will remain in the game.
“I just hope it stays. This is currently 100% just a test,” writes user Skywalk910 (via reddit).
Several users describe that they would like to have the feature long-term and also in FIFA 22. However, currently, the Pack Preview is planned as a short-term feature. The patch notes state: “From June 18 at 6 PM and for the rest of the Festival of FUTballs, we are introducing a new way to access Ultimate Team content: Preview Packs” (via EA Sports).
Currently, it looks like the preview variant will only remain until the end of the current event. This means it would only be available during this typical summer phase when the FIFA season is slowly ending before moving on to the next installment.
At the same time, however, some commentators also point out that there has been a lot of trouble regarding packs and the issue of “loot boxes” in FIFA 21 in the past.
Packs are often criticized as gambling that could cost players a lot of money. Some now see this preview mechanic as a kind of test that could hint at what a “disarmed” pack system in Ultimate Team could look like.
In FIFA 21 there is now a Pack Preview that allows you to see the contents of a pack before you buy it. Many players see the preview as a fundamental change to the Ultimate Team mode – and hope it plays a role in FIFA 22.
How does the Pack Preview work? Currently, in the packs within the Ultimate Team in-game shop, you find the “View Pack” button instead of the purchase button. When you click the new button, the familiar opening animation is played before the contents of the pack are presented to you.
Now you have two options: Either you buy the pack, or you choose not to. In the latter case, the pack remains available for a while – so if you still want it, you can grab it a bit later. At the same time, there’s a several-hour timer until a new pack appears that can be viewed in the preview.
If you buy the pack, you get all the contents immediately. Additionally, in this case, the preview timer disappears. This means: If you want, you can also immediately view the next pack.
This is what the preview packs look like in the web app
Fans call it a great idea – but will it come to FIFA 22?
That’s why the preview is so important: Normally, opening a pack in the shop is pure gambling. You can use either the in-game currency “FUT Coins” earned in the game or the “FIFA Points” bought with real money to purchase packs.
However, there is no guarantee that anything worthwhile is in the pack. On the contrary: The chances of getting top players in FIFA 21 packs are rather low. Therefore, it can happen that you buy a pack for hard-earned 100,000 coins or even real money but get hardly anything useful in return.
If you see the pack contents, you can decide for yourself whether it’s worth the coins
With the preview, this risk is largely removed. It may still happen that nothing useful is in the pack – but now you can see that beforehand. After checking the pack, you can still decide to leave the pack alone and check again later to see if there’s something useful. If there are strong and valuable cards in the pack that are worth the coins, you can make a purchase.
This way, the frustration of having spent coins or FIFA Points for virtually nothing is spared. And that is a point that resonates well with players.
“One of the best ideas in FIFA history”
This is how the community reacts to the Pack Preview: In the FIFA subreddit, there is a lot of discussion about the Pack Preview. In one post, a player refers to it as one of the “best ideas in FIFA history”.
On one hand, the frustration of pulling bad cards would be eliminated.
On the other hand, strong cards on the market would also be cheaper if there is a bit more certainty about getting such strong cards from packs.
In the comments, a large part of the community agrees.
“I can’t believe they did it. There’s nothing worse than grabbing a pack and blowing 100k on Matuidi and Co. Instead, you can view Matuidi and be glad you didn’t fall into the trap,” says one user (via reddit).
“In both the 100k and 125k packs, my best players were 84 and 85 rated. Good thing I didn’t waste my coins,” comments another user (via reddit).
At the same time, however, the other side is also pointed out. Namely, if there really is something good in the pack.
“It could even encourage people to buy FIFA Points. You can preview a 100k pack even if you don’t have the coins to open it. Twitch has banned the streamer Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa. She is the largest streamer on the platform. The 27-year-old is suspected of having established the new “Twitch-meta”: she licked a microphone while wearing tight yoga pants and moaned. She claims this is “ASMR”. The ban has led to heated discussions.
This is the situation:
Amouranth is the largest streamer on Twitch. She is ranked 30th in viewer hours in the last 30 days. Ahead of her are channels from gaming studios, events, and male streamers’ channels.
Amouranth is controversial, since she hosted “Hot Tub” streams on Twitch. In these she sat in a bikini in a pool and chatted with viewers. She was accused of doing this only to lure Twitch viewers to her paid “OnlyFans” account, where nude photos can be purchased.
Now she has been banned by Twitch after hosting “Earlicking ASMR” streams. The discussion is huge.
What was she banned for? Officially, it is not known: Twitch itself does not comment on the reasons for the bans, and the streamer has also not commented on it officially. The duration of the ban is also unknown.
At the same time as Amouranth, streamer Jenelle “Indiefoxx” Dagres was also banned. Indiefoxx operated a new type of stream like Amouranth, which is called “the new ASMR-Earlicking-Meta on Twitch”.
What is this new trend? Just a week ago, the site “Earlygame” reported that Twitch has a new trend following the “Hot Tub” streams.
The new “Earlicking ASMR” meta is:
to wear tight yoga pants
to position the camera so that the streamer’s butt is in focus
to hold a microphone close to the mouth and lick it regularly
to continue writing the names of donors on their own body (50$ for somewhere on the body, 500$ buys a spot on the forehead)
to make sure to moan or whisper to maintain the ASMR focus
ASMR stands for “Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response”: The content is intended to create a tingling, pleasant feeling in the listener through acoustic, visual, or tactile stimuli. “ASMR” is a content form in which creators act with a calm voice or soft whispers. Soothing movements are made or specific sounds are played. For many people, ASMR helps them fall asleep.
Streamer is hardly affected by the ban, refers to OnlyFans account
This is how Amouranth reacts to the ban: The streamer referred to her OnlyFans account at the time of the ban. She says: In the first hours after the ban, she already gained 587 new subscribers.
Since she is no longer on Twitch, Amouranth increasingly posts pictures of herself in underwear on Twitter and talks about how much money she has made with stocks and bitcoins. She claims to actually not need to work anymore. She is apparently even more successful as an investor than as a streamer.
This is how Indiefoxx reacts: The streamer asks Amouranth if they can go on a wellness trip together. After all, both have the weekend off. She also posts pictures of herself in revealing lingerie.
Neither Indiefoxx nor Amouranth seem to take the Twitch bans very seriously. Apparently, these are only temporary bans, perhaps over 3 days.
This is what xQc says: The largest streamer on Twitch, Félix “xQc” Lengyel, criticizes Amouranth’s behavior. He calls it “disastrous”: she shamelessly breaks the rules with a smile on her face.
xQc believes: The behavior causes a lot of damage and destroys trust with Twitch’s (advertising) partners.
He and several other large streamers believe that in the long run, Amouranth and Indiefoxx’s behavior could cut off advertising revenue on Twitch.
Amouranth views the criticism of her in a nuanced manner and continually addresses accusations:

In field and special research, players of Pokémon GO keep encountering the task of completing a certain number of raids. A trainer on reddit explains how to save raid passes for this. We at MeinMMO took a look at it and summarized it for you.
What happened? Players in Pokémon GO frequently come across the task “Battle in 5 Raids”. In the special research “A mysterious discovery”, 10 raids must also be completed. To complete this task, you normally need to redeem the corresponding number of raid passes.
If you don’t want to wait several days to complete it, you are forced to invest in premium or remote raid passes. But that doesn’t have to be the case. As user Sufficient_Dirt2838 reports on reddit, he found a trick to complete this task with just one raid pass (via reddit.com).
We looked at his explanation and summarized it for you.
How does the trick work in Pokémon GO?
To complete the tasks with only one raid pass, you first need to start a raid as usual. After the raid has started and you are in the battle screen, you should leave it and return to the lobby according to Sufficient_Dirt2838.
There, you have the opportunity to form a new team for the raid again. After that, you return to the active raid battle. This return to the ongoing battle is counted by Pokémon GO as a new raid for the task.
As Sufficient_Dirt2838 writes on reddit, this process can be repeated multiple times in one raid (via reddit.com). Thus, it is possible to complete the task of finishing 5 raids with just one raid.
What do other trainers say about this trick?
Many trainers on reddit express positive feedback about this tip and have already tried it. As reddit user NewFaceHalcyon additionally tested, this trick is not only suitable for completing field and special research tasks but also for evolving certain Pokémon (via reddit.com).
To evolve the Pokémon Galar Makabaja, trainers need to take it as a buddy and participate in 10 raids. Normally, this would require spending 10 raid passes. However, with the tip from Sufficient_Dirt2838, this is not necessary.
Other reddit users, like mitefluffy, point out that there are different tasks for completing raid tasks from special and field research (via reddit.com). In addition to “Battle in 5 Raids”, there is also the task “Win 5 Raids”, for which the trick from Sufficient_Dirt2838 is not suitable.
Another trick: “Win 5 Raids” with just one raid pass
But there should also be a trick for tasks like “Win 5 Raids” according to the YouTube channel PoGoTips. In the following video, the trainer shows how he manages to achieve multiple victories with just one normal raid pass and the support of a remote raid pass.

How does this trick work? In the video, the trainer first completes a raid normally. However, after successfully finishing the raid, he immediately leaves the catching screen without catching the Pokémon. He then opens a new raid in another gym using a remote raid pass.
While still in the lobby and waiting for the start of the raid, he leaves the gym again and switches back to the previous raid. There, he clicks “Battle” again. After that, the raid rewards appear immediately, and the won raids count up. The Pokémon is displayed again in the catching screen but is not caught by him.
How often can you repeat this? The trainer from PoGoTips explains that the game stores the won raid for a certain period, allowing the Pokémon to still be caught. This allows the described process to be repeated multiple times.
So, if you are fast enough, you can get up to 5 won raids credited. In the last round, the Pokémon can also be caught, so it doesn’t get lost. Additionally, the remote raid pass used remains yours since you left this raid before it started.

The developers of Call of Duty: Warzone are constantly tinkering with the game, constantly changing something. It seems that the engine is starting to get fed up, and the construct of program codes and algorithms is beginning to fight back – in the form of a killer door that is currently racking up a lot of kills in Warzone.
What’s going on?Season 4 arrived last week in Call of Duty: Warzone and with the new season, there were a bunch of changes. Motorcycles, a new fast travel system, new locations – the developers maintain a high pace, but Warzone itself seems to disagree with that.
Because the game is fighting back. In the form of an ugly death door. Players report a door at the location “Salt Mine” that knocks you out if you get too close to the handle. MeinMMO shows you clips of the unfriendly door and where you can find the “frame of death”.
Killer door cleans up – Don’t get too close
What does it look like? There are now some videos of the nasty killer door on Twitter. Is it a sniper, is it a precision airstrike? No … it’s the killer door:

You can imagine how much confusion the door must have caused over the weekend. “Salt Mine” is a good place to land, as there are many houses with familiar structures, spacious areas for the first skirmishes in the match, and good loot for multiple teams.
Often, you are fully focused on quickly gathering weapons and gear to not be an easy target for the first enemies. A perfect place for a killer door that calmly plays the waiting game and knows that sooner or later, an unsuspecting victim will run into the trap.
Where is the nasty door? MeinMMO ventured onto the dangerous battlefields of Verdansk to find the nasty door and confront it.
The killer door is located in a house with a blue roof that roughly has the shape of a “Z,” right in the “Salt Mine.” From the north, you can enter the main room of the house, and the door is in the southeastern direction inside the house.
Most reports about the death door are related to the house in “Salt Mine.” However, there are also two houses with the same structure and blue roof in the “Lumber” area. The house in the center of Lumber also has the killer door; the house in the east near the map boundary has safe doors.
What do players say about the killer door? Looking at the reactions, there are basically 3 camps:
People who complain that there are more and more bugs in the game
Players who have experienced this as well
Commentators who find it hilarious
Although there are some complainers who are upset about the latest bug, the bug is generally received “well”:
Call of Duty is thus richer for a curious glitch. Even in Modern Warfare, there were everyday objects that didn’t want to put up with the ongoing adjustments to their environment. Back then it was a killer chair that probably aimed for world domination. With its collected nuke killstreaks, the rebellious seating object could have succeeded – but the developers fixed and calmed the chair in time.
What do you think about such small bugs in the game? Do you find it annoying or funny? Discuss with us in the comments on MeinMMO.

A leak has already correctly predicted the Next-Gen Remaster of A Plague Tale: Innocence. At the same time, it was also claimed that this game is intended as a free title for PS Plus in July 2021. A Plague Tale: Innocence would thus be a new free title for PlayStation 4 and 5. We at MeinMMO take a look at the leak and reveal what this adventure is all about.
What kind of leak is that? The user Deluxera claimed in a forum thread (via Resetera) on June 11 that
a Next-Gen Remaster of A Plague Tale: Innocence will be announced.
with A Plague Tale: Requiem a sequel is supposed to come.
Both statements have been confirmed at the E3 2021.
In a third statement, it was said that the Remaster of A Plague Tale: Innocence would be part of PS Plus in July. It is supposed to be the free game for the PS5.
How likely is that? Currently, everything suggests that Deluxera is right. In addition to the two correct statements, the developer Asobo also supports the assumption. Because the release of the remaster is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6th. New PS Plus games are usually released on the first Tuesday of the month.
Whether A Plague Tale: Innocence will actually be the free game will probably be revealed on June 30th.
An adventure full of emotion
What kind of game is it? A Plague Tale: Innocence is an adventure from 2019. There is a plague of rats in 14th century France. You play as the 14-year-old Amicia who sneaks through the world with her brother Hugo. They have to do this, as neither of them has much strength or armor.
Our colleagues at GameStar tested the game in 2019 and gave it a rating of 84. They particularly praised the emotional stories and the memorable characters. Criticism was directed at the lack of difficulty and low replay value.
There is excitement about Ubisoft: They have made the only DLC for the game ‘Might and Magic X – Legacy’ inaccessible because they closed a server that is important for authentication. The curious thing is: Ubisoft continues to sell the DLC on Steam. For critics of “Always Online”, their worst fears are being realized here.
This is the situation:
In 2014, the single-player RPG ‘Might & Magic X: Legacy’ was released to moderate reviews (71% on Metacritic). It was the first “proper, new” Might and Magic in over 10 years. On March 27, 2014, Ubisoft released the only DLC for the game ‘The Falcon & The Unicorn’.
The servers for the game were closed on June 1, 2021. Since then, players who purchased the DLC have reported that they no longer have access to it. Worse yet: They cannot progress beyond Act 1.
Right now, there is a lot of excitement surrounding the fact that Might and Magic X is no longer accessible as it was prior to the server shutdown, especially since Ubisoft is still selling the DLC on Steam.
Therefore, the frustration arises: In a reddit post, a player explains the difficulties.
The servers for ‘Might and Magic X’ were finally closed on June 1. The problem is that while Might and Magic X is technically a single-player game, it requires a “DRM” check: Players must verify on the server that they own the game to progress beyond Act 1, which is practically available for free.
A “DRM” check verifies if one has the rights to access a game. This is what used to be called “copy protection”. For many games, it is necessary to sign in online to access the game you purchased. This leads to “Always Online” – you must be online even for offline games to play them. Either all the time or at least when logging in.
Angry players threaten Ubisoft with class-action lawsuits
Here are the reactions: People are really angry about the development on reddit and Steam. They are even threatening lawsuits and class-action suits.
What particularly angers people is that Ubisoft is still selling the DLC on Steam for €6.99.
Is there a solution to the problem? On Steam, a player has already formulated a workaround (via Steam). However, it requires intervention into the innards of the systems and is not a complete solution; it’s more of a hack at the problem until it goes away, and it breaks some content along the way.
We at MeinMMO have requested a statement from Ubisoft and will update the article when we receive a response regarding the situation.
Nightmare of every ‘Always Online’ critic comes true
Here’s what it’s about: The problem is something multiplayer players know well: When the servers are closed, the MMO or MMORPG is gone, and all the time and money invested in the game feels like it has been sunk.
What upsets people here: Might and Magic X is a single-player game and it shouldn’t be necessary to be online for that. The “Always Online” policy of large publishers is viewed very critically. Ubisoft’s example is now “The terrible thing that was always predicted has really happened”: A single-player game can no longer be played properly because the publisher has tied access to an “Always Online” requirement.
For MMORPG players, “dead MMORPGs” are something they have learned to live with:
Destiny 2 now boasts a curious achievement. After several failed attempts, a streamer and his team managed to complete a flawless run of the special kind in the Vault of Glass. He himself completed this raid on a Sparrow.
Special raid challenge for a good cause: On June 14, Destiny streamer Leopard participated in the traditional charity marathon as part of the Gaming Community Expo (GCX) 2021. With a charity block in his own stream, he raised funds to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Leopard came up with an idea for a special challenge in the latest raid of Destiny 2, the Vault of Glass, which he wanted to use to entertain his viewers. He planned to complete the raid flawlessly, meaning without any team member dying, while also racing through the raid on a Sparrow.
The cult raid “Vault of Glass”
Vault of Glass – Streamer achieves flawless run on a Sparrow
Here’s how it went: During the charity stream, the team was unable to complete this challenge despite several attempts. But Leopard and his team did not give up. After the charity block, they wanted to give it one last try for the day – and as often happens when it’s said “Okay, this is the real last attempt”, it actually worked out.
The team opened the gate and fought through the raid encounter by encounter. Leopard mostly stayed out of the fights and usually placed a barricade for his Titan to protect himself and hide behind with his Sparrow. Because not dying – that’s already challenging enough on a Sparrow in numerous passages. Especially during the jumping segments before the Templar area, in the deep gorge that follows, and at the disappearing platforms just before the boss room, it became very tight again, but this time the streamer narrowly escaped death each time.
The team also impressively mastered the boss part, with not a single Guardian perishing, and Leopard succeeded with his vehicle. You can see a summary of how it all went down in this video:

What’s so special about it? In the fights, one can still stay out of things with the Sparrow, occasionally dismounting and placing a barricade. However, with the Guardian vehicle, the challenges do not lie with enemies or bosses (providing you have a good raid team), but with the architecture. Particularly in the jumping and agility passages, it quickly became clear that they are actually designed for agile Guardians and not for bulky Sparrows.
At several points, not every Guardian can always reliably land on a ledge, platform, or edge. On a Sparrow, this becomes even more challenging. But Leopard did not let initial difficulties deter him from mastering the Vault of Glass flawlessly on a Sparrow.
What do you think of this achievement? Hats off or does this flawless Sparrow trip leave you completely cold? What are your craziest challenges you’ve ever attempted in Destiny 2? Let us know in the comments.
In Pokémon GO, Shiny Corasoon and new Costume Pikachu have been announced. However, not worldwide, but restricted to regions. Trainers are expressing disappointment and labeling the “event” as ideal for spoofers.
What’s new? Pokémon GO announced an event centered around Shiny Corasoon. Starting from July 22, it will be possible to catch Shiny Corasoon in Pokémon GO for the very first time. There is no time limit; the opportunity remains forever. Corasoon can be found near above and below the equator.
Additionally, starting from July 22, you can find a special Pikachu with an Okinawa Kariyushi shirt in Okinawa (Japan). It is supposed to remain available for a year. For many trainers, these two new contents are almost like “invitations” for spoofers.
“Congratulations, Spoofer”
What’s the problem? The “event” is being hotly discussed in the Pokémon GO community. It is not a classic event that is active for one or two weeks, but rather bonuses that are permanently or even annually active.
However, trainers feel that “normal players” cannot access these bonuses initially. Spoofers, on the other hand, receive significant incentives.
What are Spoofers? In Pokémon GO, players are referred to as “spoofers” when they use prohibited tools to play in locations around the world that are not their actual location. Normally, Pokémon GO is played where you currently are. With GPS fake apps and other means, you can deceive the game into thinking you are currently in Japan, even though you are sitting at home on your couch in Castrop-Rauxel.
Thus, spoofers can teleport into the game to Okinawa starting from July 22 and catch the Costume Pikachu and also hunt for the Shiny Corasoon.
Spoofing is prohibited in Pokémon GO, and players are punished and banned if caught.
What trainers say: On Reddit, the topic is discussed in the community of TheSilphRoad (via reddit.com). User FearMeIAmLag1 writes:
Congratulations Spoofer, Niantic is now giving you a Pokémon that will appear in an event in a country that is still closed for travel and will not be available anywhere else in the world. Sure, it is available for a whole year, but who knows when travel to Japan will be possible again. I also absolutely hate the fact that now costume Pokémon can only be caught in certain regions – and only for a limited time.
Others write:
“I was really excited when I saw an event with Corasoon, because I thought it would be worldwide for a few days. But nope. Now I have to continue wondering if I will ever complete the Johto Dex.”
“Another Spoofer event”
“A shiny only for certain regions is a bold decision. Corasoon has been out for how long? 4 years? […] That’s an incredibly bad decision considering Covid is far from over and tourism is promoted nowhere except in America. WoW.”
Some trainers counter that there will surely be an event someday where Corasoon can be caught worldwide without having to travel to its natural spawn points. It would just take longer.
What do you think of the event? Do you share the opinion of trainers that this is an event for spoofers, or do you think it’s not a big deal and can wait until Shiny Corasoon may appear at an event worldwide?
Share your opinion here on MeinMMO in the comments and discuss it with other trainers.

In Fortnite: Battle Royale there are gliders that not everyone will likely own. They are special umbrellas that only players have who have loved Fortnite since the beginning and continue to actively support it today. We show you which gliders those are.
This is the current state of Fortnite and its cosmetics: In 2017, the battle royale mode was released for the first time, and now, almost 4 years later, we have reached Season 7 of Chapter 2. In these 17 seasons, Fortnite has continuously introduced new skins and cosmetics, so that there are now over a thousand of them.
There are various ways to acquire cosmetics, such as:
However, since there are many options and each player likely has their own taste in how they prefer to obtain skins and cosmetics, hardly any locker will look the same. But there are a few fall gliders that everyone could own if they truly love Fortnite.
What are these gliders? As the name “Victory Umbrellas” suggests, these are gliders that can only be obtained if one has won a match. Each season, a new umbrella is made available that you can acquire. But why is it special to have all the victory gliders?
If a player actually has all victory umbrellas in their locker, it means they have been with Fortnite since the beginning, have played every season, and have also won at least once in each season. An achievement that not every Fortnite player can showcase. But let’s see which victory umbrellas already exist – starting with the latest and working our way back to the very first victory glider.
[toc]
Victory Glider from Season 7 – Chapter 2
This is the umbrella: In Season 7 – Chapter 2, you get the “Invasion” umbrella. It looks like the huge UFO hovering over the map of Season 7. With this umbrella, you will surely remember the alien invasion in Fortnite for a long time.
Victory Glider from Season 6 – Chapter 2
This is the umbrella: In Season 6 – Chapter 2, you get the “Foundation” glider. This is likely related to the Zero Point and the character of The Seven, who is named Foundation. We got to know him better during the start event of Season 6.
Victory Glider from Season 5 – Chapter 2
This is the umbrella: In Season 5 – Chapter 2, everything revolved around bounty hunters. There is also the corresponding umbrella “Bounty Umbrella”. A reminder of the Colossal Coliseum, where battles took place.
This is the umbrella: In Season 3 of Chapter 2, there was a metal umbrella intended to remind you of the place Fortilla. The “Fortilla Flyer” seems to be made of parts that come from that location.
Victory Glider from Season 2 – Chapter 2
This is the umbrella: The glider “Mystery” could be unlocked during Season 2 – Chapter 2. Back then, everything revolved around the agency and Boss Midas, who could turn everything into gold – thus the umbrella is also shown in black and gold.
Victory Glider from Season 1 – Chapter 2
This is the umbrella: For the 1st season of Chapter 2, there was an umbrella that represented a new feature – in this season, the ability to swim and boats were introduced.
Victory Glider from Season X
This is the umbrella: In Season X, although there was a lot of chaos on the map, the victory umbrella “X” is quite simple. It only shows the X on the lid.
Victory Glider from Season 9
This is the umbrella: The glider “Holography” was available in Season 9 when the Fortnite map suddenly became very modern, with the themes “Neon and Future” in the foreground.
Victory Glider from Season 8
This is the umbrella: The victory umbrella from Season 8 fits the jungle theme, as a volcano suddenly appeared on the map and a jungle area was created.
Victory Glider from Season 7
This is the umbrella: In Season 7, we were in the Christmas season, and thus the victory umbrella is designed accordingly – featuring a snowman with a carrot nose.
Victory Glider from Season 6
This is the umbrella: While Season 6 was active, Halloween was just around the corner. Back then, there was not only a battle pass with spooky skins – the “Web Umbrella” was the victory umbrella at that time.
Victory Glider from Season 5
This is the umbrella: In Season 5, everything revolved around summer and a lot of fun at the beach. Accordingly, there was the “Beach Umbrella,” which resembles a beach ball.
Victory Glider from Season 4
This is the umbrella: In Season 4, the “Wet Paint” umbrella was a reward. This is likely intended to remind players of the graffiti skins that battled through the map.
Victory Glider from Season 3
This is the umbrella: The victory umbrella from Season 3 was the “Paper Umbrella.” Its appearance fit the season, which prominently featured the Chinese New Year.
Victory Glider from Season 2
This is the umbrella: In Season 2, we were also in winter, and thus the victory umbrella “Snowflake” also looked that way. It was designed quite simply with blue color and a few snowflakes.
Victory Glider from Season 1
This is the umbrella: Now we come to the first victory umbrella that could be earned. The “Umbrella” shows a default version of the umbrellas and is probably the simplest glider in Fortnite.
That was all the victory gliders that have been available to earn in Fortnite with a win so far. Each umbrella has a distinctive appearance that is meant to remind players of the respective season. When looking back at them in the locker, many memories can be stirred up and one can indulge in nostalgia.
Some of the umbrellas could be as rare as the rarest skins in Fortnite. How many have you collected? Are you a loyal fan who has every single umbrella in the locker?

A small video from the usually funny Carbot brings tears to the eyes of WoW players. This is not for players who are easily moved to tears.
World of Warcraft has changed significantly over the years. Whether the changes were for better or worse is something each player must decide for themselves. Regardless, most can indulge in a bit of nostalgia when reflecting on the “old times”.
This is what the latest video from “CarbotAnimations” highlights. It is a summary of the perspective of a WoW player who has been there from the beginning and has experienced all the changes over the years. He starts with the installation of World of Warcraft, as it was back then – freshly off the CD drive. He experiences his first adventures, finds teammates, explores the first dungeons, and builds more and more social connections.
However, over the course of the expansions, the experience changes. There are more and more changes that alter the previous playstyle: dungeon finders, less necessity for cooperative play, and more offerings that can be paid for with real money. Gradually, teammates disappear, and the “nice feeling” of the past fades away.
Nostalgia briefly flickers with WoW Classic again – but it doesn’t last long.
Although the video style, as usual with Carbot, is cute and colorful, the images shown are filled with emotion. It’s best if you watch the nearly three minutes for yourself:

This is how other WoW players react: Whether in the World of Warcraft subreddit or directly under the YouTube video, there are plenty of comments from players who also indulge in nostalgia and mourn various circumstances. While some criticize the changes, like the shop or boosts, others miss their old guild members from back then who they have lost touch with.
“Damn it, Carbot. I came here to laugh, not to cry”
“MMORPGs are not just games but connections with other people. And when those are gone, it’s a waste of time. And time is money.”
“No person steps into the same river twice, for it is not the same river and he is not the same person.”
Cortyn says: The video also touched me quite a bit. Although I do not really miss the old classic times because I know that the game from back then simply would not fit my lifestyle today, it still moves me. Immediately, memories of my own first groups and guilds come back. Especially the spam in the chat when Ragnaros was defeated for the first time – I can still hear the cheers of all 40 people when it finally happened.
But honestly, I didn’t get the impression that the video only blames the developers but also the players. Because it shows several times that the developers offer things like mounts or boosts, but there are also plenty of players willing to pay for these conveniences.
What reactions has the video triggered in you?

A nasty shaman also brings seemingly safe players in WoW Burning Crusade Classic down from the sky. We show how he does it.
Flying mounts have always been a controversial topic in World of Warcraft. Since their introduction in Burning Crusade, there has been wild discussion about them. Especially PvP fans have long complained, as with a flying mount you can easily escape any danger, which takes away the thrill. However, this doesn’t necessarily have to be the case, as a player demonstrates in Burning Crusade Classic.
Through “clever use of game mechanics” he even catches flying players from the sky and prepares them for a swift end.
What happened? In the WoW Classic subreddit, the user BloodSeekerWhitemane has published a small clip from Burning Crusade Classic. It shows his shaman at the flight point of Area 52. PvP doesn’t seem possible at this moment, as the Alliance players are flying on their flying mounts out of reach.
But that doesn’t stop the shaman player. He simply launches himself into the air, activates all his big cooldowns, and takes down a druid in flight form in just under a second.

How does he do it? The most important item here is the helm “Rocket Helmet X-52”. It can be obtained at the end of a quest chain in Netherstorm. The helm has no stats but has a use effect. Once every 30 minutes, it can be used to launch the player into the sky like a rocket, from where he then slowly glides down.
Combined with the many quick attacks of a shaman – and a lot of proc luck with Stormstrike – a player can take down his victim in no time.
The poor druid must have returned to his PC quite confused, wondering while looking at the chat log how he could have been hit by Stormstrike at that height.
More about WoW Classic and BC Classic can be found here:
This is how the community reacts: There is a lot of praise under the post for the creative use of an otherwise rather useless quest reward that is actually just a gimmick.
Others, however, take a slightly more cynical approach and say: “He must be the first horde player to attack without reinforcements at his back and actually win.”
It is not particularly “op,” by the way, since the helm can only be used once every 30 minutes and only shoots vertically into the sky, which makes it easy for (present) players to avoid the attack.

With a Bluetooth adapter, the headphones can also be used without any problems on a desktop PC or laptop for gaming. However, there is no app or settings to be made. On the PC, the sound is decent, but it cannot be compared to my normal gaming headset.
What I don’t like: The build quality cannot keep up with high-end headphones as expected. In-ear headphones from Sony, Sennheiser, and Co often use premium materials like aluminum for the case. Here, the thin plastic of the HolyHigh feels low-value.
The charging case is made of plastic and feels cheap. Fingerprints and fine scratches can also be easily seen. The lid is attached to the case with a plastic clasp.
The touch controls of the headphones can also only convince me to a limited extent. If I press the headphones more firmly into my ears, I accidentally turn the volume up or down, although I didn’t want that at the time. With some combination, I also accidentally start the annoying Bixby from Samsung.
Scratches are clearly visible on the charging case.
Who are the headphones recommended for? With the HolyHigh in-ear headphones, you get decent headphones with good sound and especially pleasant ergonomics for the ears. Additionally, you get some low-quality build, which you should also expect at this price.
If you want an immersive and wide sound, then check out our gaming headset buying guide. Here, you will also find headphones.

By the way, you will not get gaming functions or app settings with these headphones, but rather decent sound and good comfort.
MeinMMO author Benedikt Schlotmann has now bought in-ear headphones and finds that good sound does not necessarily have to be expensive.
Here’s how I proceeded: At work and in my free time, I like to listen to music. However, I am also one of those people who do not always need to wear a heavy gaming headset when they want to listen to music.
For this reason, I am always on the lookout for in-ear headphones. Wired in-ear headphones only lasted a few months for me, as they either disappeared in the washing machine, got caught somewhere, or my girlfriend’s cat misplaced them. Wireless in-ear headphones seemed to be the solution to the problems.
By now, I had already had nearly a dozen of these headphones personally and professionally on my desk. The range varies from very cheap discount headphones to gaming devices and high-end models. However, I’m a curious person who likes to try out new devices.
Which headphones did I choose? I opted for the in-ear headphones from HolyHigh. On the one hand, they cost just under 40 euros (35.99), and on the other hand, the ratings for the headphones on Amazon were 4.4 stars with over 1600 customer reviews, which also spoke for the purchase.
40 euros and good customer reviews immediately piqued my curiosity, and I wanted to try them out. After all, one couldn’t go too wrong at such a price.

Surprisingly good sound for just 40 euros
What I like: Overall, the sound can convince me. It is not comparable to high-quality devices such as the EPOS GTW 270, which MeinMMO was able to test, but it is sufficient for everyday use. Whether while quickly shopping or on the streetcar to drown out the screaming schoolchildren, the headphones do their job:
Pleasant bass and clearly distinguishable sounds (Handel’s Deborah, Sanctus from the Requiem by Johannes Ockeghem).
Instruments and voices can clearly be assigned to one ear, key presses on the piano or the plucking of a violin (Brahms: The Three Violin Sonatas).
A soundstage is almost non-existent. Music always sounds distanced, without much depth. But that is also due to the construction of in-ear headphones.
Another positive aspect is the ergonomics of the small headphones. They sit really comfortably. I rank the pair from HolyHigh in terms of “comfort” at position 2, just behind the EPOS GTW 270. I can quickly pop the HolyHigh headphones in my ears and comfortably listen to music for several hours without them bothering me.
In comparison, I was unable to listen to music for a full hour with the “Razer Hammerhead True Wireless” headphones because the pressure on my ears drove me crazy.
The battery life is also a positive aspect. According to the manufacturer, the headphones last for about six and a half hours, and with the case, you get a total of 24 hours. My headphones manage more than 6 hours of battery life without issues.
With a Bluetooth adapter, the headphones can also be used without any problems on a desktop PC or laptop for gaming. However, there is no app or settings to be made. On the PC, the sound is decent, but it cannot be compared to my normal gaming headset.

Is a dungeon in World of Warcraft too hard for you? Soon you won’t have to deplete Keystone anymore, but can decrease it at an NPC.
Mythic Keystone dungeons are often the most challenging content in World of Warcraft for small groups. After all, the dungeons get increasingly difficult, and there are always new and better rewards to entice you. However, depending on the weekly affixes, a “Mythic +15” or even just “Mythic +10” can be too hard for your character.
What has changed? At the NPC Ta’hsup in Oribos, players can show their Keystone for “Mythic+” dungeons. A new dialog option allows you to lower the level of the Keystone to decrease the challenge – and the associated rewards. For instance, you can reduce a level 16 Keystone to 15 – or any other lower level.
What benefits does this bring? This allows you to adjust the difficulty of the dungeon to your preferences. This is especially useful when the affixes for the week are particularly tough and it becomes clear that you can’t tackle the dungeon with the combination of affixes and the classes available. It can also be useful if you want to bring along slightly under-geared players and don’t personally mind not doing a high-level dungeon.
Lowering the Keystone – available soon in Oribos.
How was it done before? Previously, the process was rather cumbersome and not even known to all players. You had to enter the respective dungeon with the Keystone, start the “Mythic+” variant, then leave and reset the dungeon. This caused the run to count as failed, and the Keystone lost a level. This had to be repeated until the difficulty was lowered to the desired level.
This method proved to be a real time waster, as you had to enter the dungeon each time, start the run, then leave the dungeon and go through the process again. In the future, this will be done with just a few clicks.
More about Patch 9.1 and World of Warcraft can be found here on MeinMMO:
When is the change coming? In just a few days, as Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination finally has a release date. Starting June 30, you’ll be heading into new content, such as Tazavesh or the Sanctum of Domination raid. This also coincides with the changes to the “Mythic+” system.
Even though it’s just a minor change in Patch 9.1, it is likely a feature many players will benefit from.

After MeinMMO author Sven Galitzki recently had to frustratingly delete games on his PS5 just to install an update, expanding the fast SSD storage has become one of his biggest wishes regarding the PlayStation 5.
My current perspective on the PS5: The PlayStation 5 has been on the market for over half a year now, but it is still damn hard to get. Not all interested parties have managed to purchase Sony’s newest console yet. And Sony is still not keeping up with the demand.
But those who manage to get a PS5 can rejoice. Because the console offers an overall fantastic experience for gamers – whether with next-gen titles, older games with better quality and performance, or significantly faster loading times for PS4 games through the backward compatibility feature.
Aside from occasionally loud fans or coil whine, there are no major issues with Sony’s latest console. I myself am not even affected by that. My PS5 is rarely heard – and that only very minimally. But one thing annoys me greatly – and it is getting stronger.
Please don’t delete 2 games just to install an update
Sony, this is annoying: I don’t have a particularly large number of games on the SSD of my PS5:
ESO
Destiny 2
The Division 2
Call of Duty (only MP from Modern Warfare and Warzone)
Ghost Recon Breakpoint
But even this limited selection regularly becomes an issue for me. All of these (maybe apart from Ghost Recon) are live games that are regularly supplied with fresh updates. Sometimes really big updates. And as soon as I have to download and install one of these updates, it almost always means: delete games from the SSD.
Just installing a new update for Warzone? Not always possible for me without further ado
For example: In the last ESO update, it was only one game. For the new Season 4 update of Warzone, 2 games had to be temporarily removed from the drive. Once the patch is downloaded and installed, the deleted games can usually be put back.
The problem: The usable free space on the PS5 is really tight, considering how large some games like Call of Duty are nowadays. The PS5 has an ultra-fast internal SSD, but users effectively only have 667 GB of free space for games, apps, or media. And that fills up sometimes faster than you can blink.
For my taste, it is the biggest downside of an otherwise really good new console.
Additionally, other mysterious data make the already tight storage even tighter – sometimes with over 100 GB. This leaves even less space for PS5 games at times.
Could be an alternative for PS5 storage expansion – the Samsung 980 Pro
On Sony’s side, there is still complete silence on this topic – even though insiders claim it should have been ready by summer. But currently, the expansion is sadly still not in sight, and this is noteworthy more than half a year after the console’s launch. By the way, with the Xbox Series X, storage expansion has long been possible.
And yes, I know: One can also connect external hard drives or SSDs to the PS5 and also outsource PS5 games to them. And PS4 games can also be played from those external drives. But only on the internal PS5 SSD can PS5 titles be played, as they are designed for its high speed, and the significantly shorter loading times with other games can honestly only be noticed there. I want to keep everything on my PS5’s fast SSD – after all, the ultra-fast loading times are one of the reasons why I chose to get a PS5 in the first place.
My current biggest wish for the PS5: Unfortunately, I frequently face the issue of having to delete games, and therefore one of my biggest wishes for the PlayStation 5 is that an official storage expansion in the form of a similarly fast, compatible SSD finally comes to market. And I am not alone in this. Especially among fans of service games, you often hear them complain about this circumstance – as for instance in a popular Reddit thread about the last update for Call of Duty Warzone.
Having to constantly delete games just to load a new update – that is really annoying! And once in a while, I would like to enjoy a few more titles as well, which I can currently only do to a limited extent due to the tight storage.
What do you think about this topic? Do you also long for an expansion option for the fast storage of the PS5? Or do you get along well with the available storage? What is your biggest wish for the PlayStation 5 – aside from better availability? Let us and other readers of MeinMMO know in the comments.
The South Korean MMORPG Lost Ark (PC) has introduced a new raid: The raid will be so ambitious in graphics and mechanics that it will advance the entire MMORPG genre. Every developer and player will take a look at it, says the lead developer. This sounds like a battle cry to Western MMORPGs like The Elder Scrolls (ESO), Final Fantasy XIV, or World of Warcraft (WoW).
This is the situation:
The MMORPG Lost Ark is already running in Japan, South Korea, and Russia. Lost Ark is also set to come to Europe this autumn: An initial alpha has started, but it is not yet allowed to be publicly reported on.
In South Korea, Season 2 of the MMORPG is already ongoing, and a major summer update is coming. Smilegate has introduced a new class and, above all, presented a new raid.
They seem particularly proud of the raid. There is a strong statement from the lead developer: The raid is supposed to advance the entire MMORPG genre.
What kind of raid is this? The raid comes from the new summer update of Lost Ark. The update is called “Astalgia.”
The trailer for the update shows a new class, the Sorceress, who appears to be a classic mage. And a new raid “Abrelldshud,” featuring boss fights against a dragon and a giant monkey.
According to a fan translation (via google.docs), the raid is expected to be released on July 28 and will raise the item level cap. The raid consists of 6 phases and is the longest raid in Lost Ark so far.

We want to grab the attention of every MMO developer and player
This is a statement from a developer about the raid: In the English forum “resetera,” it is stated that the lead designer said about the raid:
“[The raid is] so ambitious. We want to push the graphics and mechanics of MMO raids forward for the entire genre. We want to grab the attention of every MMO developer and player for this raid.”
Lead Developer Lost Ark, (quoted from fan translation ResetEra)
Lost Ark continues to evolve strongly even 3 years after full release
This is what lies behind it: The MMORPG genre seems to have somewhat stagnated in recent years. The last major attempt to “advance raiding in MMORPGs” was probably WildStar, with a focus on more action. However, the MMORPG failed before most players even reached the raid phase.
The other major MMORPG of the last 5 years, Black Desert, did not focus on PvE.
The established “PvE” MMORPGs like Final Fantasy XIV, WoW, or ESO have long found their raid systems. A new MMORPG like Lost Ark, which still seeks to prove itself and has a greater focus on action, could really advance the genre. The isometric perspective allows for other ideas anyway.
In any case, Lost Ark seems to be the most exciting new MMORPG we have seen in the last 5 years. And we can already see: In South Korea, the MMORPG is still being well developed 3 years after its full release. That should give us positive expectations.
In Destiny 2 you can get a new Iron Banner weapon. MeinMMO author Philipp Hansen has spent all his 5,000 tokens. Did he receive the God Roll of Riiswandler and how long does it take?
This is the rare weapon: In the Iron Banner of Season 14 you can get a strong but rare weapon. The new shotgun is touted by many as the new must-have for pesky pump-slide users.
Riiswandler is a legendary 80s shotgun in the kinetic slot.
It automatically has “Lightweight” installed, which allows you to run faster, and always comes with excellent handling.
Since the two heavyweights Felwinter’s Lie and Astral Horizon have been slightly nerfed, many Guardians are currently raving about the quicker alternative.
The problem: Riiswandler is a new Iron Banner weapon and can only be obtained in this PvP event. During the first Iron Banner of Season 14, you could only find one copy per character – the God Roll was far away. Bungie has since fixed this, and you can randomly receive the weapon through tokens or rarely after Iron Banner matches.
You can read here which God Rolls you need for the weapon. But also, how our author Philipp Hansen clicked through several menus, prayed to RNG-Jesus, and what the yield looked like after 5,000 tokens.
[toc]
With 5,000 tokens in hand to the God Roll
I play the Iron Banner regularly, but I never spend the tokens I’ve received through bounties and participation. Somehow Lord Saladin hasn’t had anything interesting in many seasons. So I have over 5,000 tokens in my inventory just waiting to be turned into Iron Banner loot.
So I thought: “Spend all your tokens and treat yourself to some strong rolls of Riiswandler!”.
Whose opinion are you reading here? Philipp Hansen has been playing Destiny since 2014. In both series entries, he has spent over 3,000 hours combined. Since 2019, he has been intensively managing the franchise as an expert author for you on MeinMMO. He also collects Exotics in his spare time or tests weapons in the Crucible.
This is the God Roll I am looking for: Shotguns should take out an enemy Guardian with one shot at as great a distance as possible – so range and tight spread are essential. Additionally, you want the usually heavy weapons to compensate for this disadvantage and have good handling (usually through perks).
Barrel: Full Choke (tight spread), Smallbore (+7 range and stability) or Corkscrew Rifling (+5 range, stability, handling)
Magazine: Extended Mag (+10 range) or Assault Mag (increases fire rate, +15 stability)
Slot 1: Woosh (while sliding, the weapon reloads and temporarily improves stability and handling) or Quickdraw (the weapon can be drawn very quickly – valid only for 1 second)
Slot 2: Iron Grip (+20 range but -30 stability) or Murderous Wind (kills grant better range, handling, and velocity)
Masterwork: Range
Season 14 brought 4 fresh weapons to the Iron Banner – below Riiswandler
What about PvE? Riiswandler is primarily a weapon for the Crucible. With the right roll, you can also clean up in PvE. Just don’t expect to keep up with the dominant slug shotguns (a slug projectile instead of a spread shot), which are currently the meta against bosses.
Barrel: Smallbore (+7 range and stability) or Corkscrew Rifling (+5 range, stability, handling)
Magazine: Assault Mag (increases fire rate, +15 stability)
Slot 1:
Stability is practically unnecessary; we want range and some handling. Since the base handling of Riiswandler is already a strong 74, it’s not as crucial to invest here as it is with other shotguns.
75 Minutes of Button Pressing for Boredom and the God Roll
This is how it went with the tokens: I had zero desire for the dull “Token-Submission Marathon”. But the 5,000 tokens don’t magically turn into Iron Banner engrams. Since Lord Saladin, the Iron Banner NPC, is only in the Tower once a month, an intense but hopefully productive session was planned.
I was well prepared: The Postmaster was completely empty, my inventory entirely cleared out, and even the Umbral and Prime engrams didn’t block the menu. Plenty of space for potential Riiswandler.
I got ready to diligently hammer the X-button on the DualSense and check the yield every 10 minutes, empty the Postmaster, and sort through the junk loot. As background entertainment, I chose the movie “The Big Short.” I could already envision enlightening my colleagues with my relevant expertise on the 2007 financial crisis.
But Destiny doesn’t like it easy; Destiny likes Plan C. This means in this case, you can’t just continuously hammer a button to submit tokens and collect rewards. No, you first have to press 2 times to submit tokens (in batches of 10), then sweep the cursor to the right and press “Confirm” again up here on the right – then it starts all over again.
How long did it take? So relaxing movie watching was out of the question; I had to diligently handle the controller every few seconds, navigate through Saladin’s inventory, and visit the Post Office every 15 minutes. I didn’t want to miss out on the background noise. So I watched a video on “why 120 RPM hand cannons are still way too hot in the Crucible” (via YouTube).
By the time the 5,000 tokens were finally gone, it took a good hour and 15 minutes. But was the token and time investment worth it?
This is my Iron Banner loot: 19 Riiswandler, but no God Roll
From the just over 5,000 tokens (20 per engram), I pulled 19 Riiswandler.
With this yield, I’m actually satisfied. As a byproduct, I also received some decent Archon Thunder – the new MG – and good rolls from other Iron Banner weapons. On top of that, I got some armor with 64 and 65 stats.
I unfortunately did not receive the God Roll of Riiswandler. But there were many semi-God Rolls included. This means there’s a perk wrong here. For the masterwork, I made this baby:
Iron Grip massively boosts range – on shotguns, the downside to stability is negligible
The magazine isn’t a standout. Personally, I would have preferred Woosh instead of Quickdraw. With shotgun-targeting and shotgun-skilled gear on my armor, in combination with the high handling value, I would have preferred to reload while sliding – but I don’t want to complain.
What can the new Iron Banner shotgun do?
This is how Riiswandler plays: Of course, I wanted to try out my new toy right away. I’m almost always out with the Warlock, so I don’t need an Icarus Grip on the shotgun – I’m not a jumping Hunter.
The map drawn was “Widow’s Court.” Great, one of the largest PvP maps around. Here snipers feel right at home. Nevertheless, I fully embraced the shotgun lifestyle – with mediocre success. However, what I immediately noticed positively was the increased movement speed. It’s a lot of fun to zip around and get up close to enemies at one-shot distance.
The next map was “The Cauldron.” On the branched dwarf map, there was no stopping me. Thanks to shotgun scavenger, I didn’t really need my primary weapon and could pump full shots into anyone foolish enough to get in my way.
My conclusion: Shotguns need to be nerfed; it’s just too easy… but it’s also a lot of fun. Whether Riiswandler is the new meta weapon, I’m not so sure. It feels like Felwinter still takes out the enemy at greater distances, and with armor mods, you can still get decent handling after the nerf.
But you can’t go wrong with Riiswandler. Especially the movement feels significantly better than with the heavy counterparts.
My copy has 87/100 range and is already close to the max, and has surprised me several times (and surely the enemy too). As a strong alternative for the kinetic slot, the shotgun is appealing to combine, for example, with the still way too hot 120 Igneous Hammer.
I don’t want to put away the new shotgun anymore and can only recommend it. After all, what else would you do with the tokens? Finally, there are new and also great Iron Banner weapons, so feel free to spend a small fortune like I did.
Did you manage to secure a few rolls of Riiswandler and find the shotgun is the new meta? Please let us know if you practice pump-sliding/jumping in the Crucible or rather hate it, as it’s often just easy but effective. Feel free to exchange ideas with other readers in the comments.

World of Warcraft is often under fire, frequently from a loud minority. However, the complaints about Shadowlands seem to be increasing, especially lately. One player cannot understand this at all. MeinMMO spoke with him and asked how he sees all of this.
The criticism of Shadowlands ranges from technical issues and Blizzard’s policies to design decisions and gameplay. Everything possible is being criticized, sometimes more strongly, sometimes less.
In recent months, complaints have come from quite a few directions and from well-known people in the community:
While it seems that not the majority of the community is dissatisfied with everything, these topics keep coming up and are discussed repeatedly. Even on MeinMMO, we often have opinions and criticism about the game:
One of our readers is annoyed by the constant criticism of the game. He finds Shadowlands good and significantly better than previous expansions. His stance is: Most of what is criticized doesn’t really affect most players anyway.
MeinMMO: Would you introduce yourself briefly? Who are you, how long have you been playing WoW?
Patrik: Hello, my name is Patrik, I am 30 years old and the guild leader of the semi-hardcore guild “Antimate Social Club”. I have been playing WoW since 2006 – of course with some shorter, but also longer breaks. So I’ve experienced everything, including the infamous “good old days”.
MeinMMO: What do you do most often in WoW and now in Shadowlands?
Patrik: Clearly group-oriented PvE content. I greatly appreciate WoW for its raids, and the introduction of Mythic+ was a great change. I took a break at the beginning of Legion, and an old WoW friend wrote to me: “Hey, there is something new. Mythic+. It’s like raiding but with 5 people!!”. One of the arguments that brought me back to WoW.
Shadowlands hasn’t changed that. We raid Mythic twice a week. Besides that, I also play heroic raids with alt characters and, of course, Mythic+ – sometimes just 15s for the chest and sometimes higher, depending on my mood.
MeinMMO: What is your general assessment of Shadowlands? How has it developed since release?
Patrik: I consider Shadowlands to be a great expansion, and not just because Battle for Azeroth was a less successful expansion. I really think that Shadowlands is very well done. Of course, we also have the same problems here that we had in other expansions before – Blizzard reluctantly listens to the community beforehand.
By community, I don’t mean the eternal complainers on Reddit and such, but especially the spearheads of the community who are usually right with their assessments – whether it relates to class and raid balancing or other aspects of the game.
But I also realize that I clearly belong to the milder voices and that not everyone finds Shadowlands great. However, I still find the current development okay. Blizzard realized that the introduction of valor points could be a good thing (which by the way, it is) and they actually did it. I currently have two hearts beating in my chest:
Hello, where is patch 9.1? I want something NEW!
Hello, please not so quickly 9.1, let’s at least achieve the top achievement!
Patch 9.1 is still a while away – but how long actually?
“The casualization of WoW is not ultimately bad”
MeinMMO: What is your opinion on patch 9.1?
Patrik: I’m looking forward to it, but when is it coming? In November 2020 Shadowlands began and now it’s already June 2021. Okay, Castle Nathria is a challenging first raid, we still have that to nibble on, but it’s already time.
I view the patch quite calmly. You know, when you have played Legion and BfA, what to expect. New raid, 10 bosses. I think that’s good, it’s a solid amount, I’m looking forward to it.
The new zone Korthia… well, the stuff for “daily fun” comes with it. New Mythic+ season with a new, very exciting-looking affix. That will probably be my highlight, alongside the raid.
I also think the concept of mega-dungeons is very good and I’m looking forward to the hard mode, even if it will only be a very temporary feature. We had a lot of fun on the release day of 8.2 when we ventured into Mechagon at 9:00 AM and took three and a half hours for the hard mode.
PvP trinkets and weapons are no longer as essential in PvE with 9.1! Or at least, I really hope so.
Maybe a very unpopular opinion, but I’m looking forward to Torghast! I didn’t mention it earlier, but I really think Torghast is great and I have a lot of fun with it! The twisting corridors were incredibly fun for me. But I’m also a big fan of solo adventures where you can fail spectacularly (hardened by Dark Souls!). Not every player enjoys this; I can understand that.
MeinMMO: To which players do you think Shadowlands is currently most directed?
Patrik: Phew, that’s not an easy question. WoW is a massive game with so much to discover and achieve. The raid offers 3 difficulty levels, Mythic+ is dynamic, and outside of group content, there’s also plenty to do. Be it farming anima, pet battles, collecting mounts and transmog, completing achievements…
I was someone 5 to 10 years ago who complained about the “casualization” of WoW, but in the end, it’s not so bad. Everything goes much faster now; you don’t need to invest so much time in the game anymore. TBC Classic is showing me that again.
I have to farm a lot of reputation to do HC dungeons. That was completely fine before, but today I would ask Blizzard if they are still sane if I had to grind for Mythic+ unlock. I like both worlds.
TBC Classic is a slowed-down farming simulator, and I expect action from Shadowlands! I like the fast and straightforward gameplay of modern WoW. There’s something for everyone in this game, at least in PvE. Let’s not talk about PvP; I have no idea about that and I’m glad that with 9.1, it is also being further separated from PvE.
“Why are we getting upset about things that don’t affect us at all?”
MeinMMO: What is a complaint that others often express that you can’t understand at all?
Patrik: I’ve been waiting for this question. There are some points that I can’t necessarily understand, so I’ll try to keep it brief. First, the covenant system in connection with raid, Mythic+, and PvP.
People complain that the covenant abilities are too restrictive? Why? There are 4 factions, and you join one. If you want to switch, you have to invest time. Currently, WoW has a good comparison here in TBC Classic. Try changing from Seer to Aldor if you chose the wrong faction out of ignorance.
But hey, I know already. Not every covenant is the best for every specialization. Example: The shadow priest wants to be Venthyr in PvP because Mindgames is a really good ability, but in PvE he wants to play Night Fae. However, he can’t just switch covenants, which players find annoying.
Yeah, I find that annoying too, but Blizzard still wants to pretend that WoW is an RPG in 2021, which it really isn’t anymore. But is that really so bad? Then just play Venthyr Shadow in the weekly key; what’s the problem?
Isn’t that the best? So what? Are you playing +15 or +25? It really doesn’t matter. You can complete +15 with any combination of players and classes. Of course, some groups have it easier than others. There will always be a META, no matter how dumb or good you find it.
Someone is always FOTM [Ed. Note “Flavor of the Month”, describes currently popular and strong combinations]… but hey, at the level most players are playing at, it really doesn’t matter.
This includes casuals, but also people who semi-hardcore mythic raid. We are all average players or below, so why are we getting upset about things that don’t affect us at all?
Sure, the counterargument is always – If you’re not playing META, then you won’t find groups – which is often true too. I’m currently playing a Death Knight, have about 1,600 Raider.io score, and an item level of 226. I too get rejected for +15 keys.
Find a community and play with them; after all, it’s a social game. Hand on heart: If you prefer to play alone, there are thousands of better games out there than WoW.
Secondly, the anima grind. How can one even complain about that? You only need anima for cosmetic items. What’s the problem if it takes two weeks instead of one? You can always farm anima whenever you want; you’re neither bound to other players nor to times. Maybe I’m just the wrong target group for that, I only have 100 mounts.
Anima is needed for many upgrades – but it doesn’t really have a practical use.
“Shadowlands does many things much better”
MeinMMO: What does Shadowlands do better than before?
Patrik: In comparison to Legion and BfA, Shadowlands does many things much better. Legion is considered by many players to be a fantastic expansion. It was; Mythic+ certainly contributed to the fact that WoW could recover after WoD.
But friends, let’s not forget the legendary system. That was not cool, it was terrible. Not the possibility of having cool orange items – we all want that – but how to obtain them.
I can LEGITIMATELY obtain AN ITEM from a LONG LIST during ANY ACTIVITY I engage in. Who approved that? That’s basically the subscription trap of the 2010s.
For some bosses in Mythic+ on tyrannical, you needed a specific necklace that provided a large shield. Without this necklace, you would simply get one-shotted without dispute. What do you do if you don’t have this necklace? Too bad.
In the end, you could then purchase legendaries systematically, which was cool. Now in Shadowlands, you can systematically craft legendaries, which I think is very good.
Legendaries were a really dumb system, but not the dumbest. Titanforging was, for me, by far the worst system they ever introduced in WoW. There’s “personal loot” and yet Titanforging is worse.
Legendaries can be crafted easily in Shadowlands
Legion was overshadowed by that terrible system. T-set pieces could titanforge. A terrible idea. Titanforging is now gone. Thank you, Blizzard, thank you!
Speaking of T-sets. They were sacrificed for azerite gear in BfA. Good that this nonsense is also over. That system was a complete joke and changed constantly in BfA. It was doctoring around a fundamentally flawed system. Basically, labor of love. T-sets will come back soon™. I think that’s good; I look forward to it. T-sets belong in WoW!
Shall we talk again about strange grinds? What I personally welcome is that the disgusting grind from 8.3 is gone. It’s simply not a good system to grind daily quests to get limited access to time-limited content that you also have to grind and where you could fail. That was really incredibly annoying.
Sure, that was content that really only bothered the Mythic players and only the semi-hardcore players because the World-First players didn’t really need it to that full extent. In Legion, it was the artifact weapon that had to be leveled for each specialization, and in BfA it was the azerite to completely activate your azerite gear.
The grind today is by no means as severe, and it’s much easier to play additional characters.
“For me, there’s only one problem: long-term motivation”
MeinMMO: What do you think are the 3 biggest problems of Shadowlands at the moment?
Patrik: For me, there’s only one problem: long-term motivation.
Why do I even log into WoW anymore, other than to raid? Through Mythic+, I get all items to 220 – I’ve already done that. Why should I run higher keys than +15? Just for my ego.
I’m not interested in the other aspects of this game. I don’t do pet battles, I don’t play PvP, transmog and mounts don’t concern me either. Maybe I only play WoW for community reasons, but that’s not bad either; I enjoy playing with people I like. During 8.3 I (unfortunately) played a lot of LoL and right now TBC Classic.
Patrik: Blizzard is introducing a new reward system for Mythic+. I believe this will increase my long-term motivation; I am really looking forward to it.
MeinMMO: Is now an ideal time to start with WoW? Why or why not?
Patrik: It’s the best possible time! We are currently at an incredibly good point within WoW. The big content patch 9.1 is just around the corner. You can now still leisurely level a character and prepare for the next patch.
TBC Classic has been released. Friends, do you want to experience the supposedly best time in WoW again or at all? Start and play!
MeinMMO: Thank you for the conversation.
What do you think about this topic? Are too many players complaining too often, or are there points where WoW really needs to improve? Discuss with us in the comments!
On Pokémon GO, the Solstice 2021 event ends this Sunday. Find out here what events are coming next and what you need to know.
When does the event end? You have until 8:00 PM this evening to take advantage of the Solstice event in Pokémon GO with its bonuses. Afterwards, the spawns of Lunatone and Solrock will decrease worldwide again, your buddies will bring you items less frequently, and they will also need the full kilometers to earn hearts again.
But Niantic has a lot planned for you in the coming days and weeks. You can find out what that is here on MeinMMO.
After the Spotlight Hour, this week follows the Bidoof event
Spotlight Hour on Tuesday: On Tuesday, June 22, there will be a Spotlight Hour featuring the Pokémon Bidoof. Additionally, you will receive double XP for evolving Pokémon.
This event is particularly interesting for many of you, as Mamoswine is among the best Ice attackers in Pokémon GO. And you can always use more of those (for example, against dragons). So if you’re looking for reinforcements for your Ice team, you should focus on Pokémon this Tuesday evening.
Bidoof event: On Friday, June 25, a new event will start in Pokémon GO – the Bidoof outbreak. You will have the opportunity to catch shiny Bidoof. What makes this event special is not only the wild beavers. You will initially receive double experience points for catches, then triple experience points for catches, and on June 29 and 30, you will even receive four times the XP for catching Pokémon.
This is the ideal opportunity for trainers who are on their way from level 41 to 50 in Pokémon GO to collect a lot of XP. This also applies to trainers below level 41. Combine the bonuses with a Lucky Egg and earn eight times the XP.
Community Day in July: The next Community Day in Pokémon GO will take place on July 3. That’s a Saturday. It is still unclear which Pokémon will be featured. The developers of Pokémon GO have only revealed the dates for the C-Days in July and August – but not the participants.
GO Fest 2021: On July 17 and 18, the big summer event in Pokémon GO will take place. Over two days, you will find exciting spawns, shinies, and challenges. Everything we know about GO Fest 2021 and its bonuses can be found on MeinMMO.
