Winston Calls for the Overwatch Beta
The early beta access for Overwatch began tonight, May 3rd at 1:00 AM. To invite those who are still undecided about the game, Blizzard has created a teaser cinematic, in which the gorilla scientist Winston explains the current situation on planet Earth and the rough history of Overwatch.
Accordingly, Overwatch was founded during a time of crisis to crush the Omnics (robots) during a rebellion. Later, the organization took on the role of a kind of “world police” before its name became increasingly infamous and it was dissolved. Now the world is once again in chaos and a certain primate with heightened aggression potential is calling the former team back together.
For those who haven’t checked out the game yet, they can participate in the open beta from May 5th to May 9th. This will take place simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Installation is easily done through the Battle.net software or the stores of PS4 and Xbox.
