Torbjörn’s reign of terror in Overwatch on consoles is coming to an end. A nerf is coming.
Torbjörn is too strong on consoles. The turrets are believed to be too hard to aim and take down for players using controllers. Therefore, in an upcoming patch, the damage of Torbjörn’s turrets will be reduced by 30% on Xbox One and PS4. However, the damage will remain the same on PC. This was stated by Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan on reddit.
The patch is expected to arrive mid to late July, depending on how certification goes with Sony and Microsoft. So it’s about a month away.

Console players aim less accurately than PC players with mouse and keyboard. However, the turrets always hit precisely, so a different balancing is needed on consoles compared to PC, according to general consensus.
