The Winter Wonderland of Overwatch is live again! We will reveal what has happened in 2018 and what you can earn.
The Christmas season has started, and Overwatch is following suit. The Winter Event “Winter Wonderland” has just gone live in Overwatch on all platforms (PC, PS4, and Xbox One).
New and old skins: As is customary, all skins from previous years are available again this year. They are included in the special Winter Wonderland loot boxes, which can only be earned during the event. In addition to the old rewards, there are also new skins that are present for the first time:
New game modes: 2018 also celebrates the return of a popular game mode. Once again, you can grab snowballs with Mei and ruin the day for the evil Yeti by properly covering him in snow. As usual, the game mode is available through the Arcade and rewards you with a loot box if you play it for the first time.
Wait times are normal: Please keep in mind that there can be wait times at the start of an event. Many more players than usual flood the servers, causing wait queues. If you want to play today, you should at least have a bit of patience for the next few hours.
How long does the event last? The Winter Wonderland 2018 will last, as usual, for three weeks. It will end in the new year, on January 2, 2019. Until then, you have plenty of time to earn all the rewards through diligence or simply buy the loot boxes.
