The beta for Blizzard’s upcoming shooter Overwatch is set to begin this fall. To shorten the wait a bit, I’ve already taken a closer look at some of the characters and analyzed them as far as is currently possible.
Overwatch is indeed a first-person shooter, but the individual heroes share clear similarities with those from MOBAs. They not only have a personal backstory but also their own set of abilities that goes far beyond the standard shooting with a weapon.
The first one is the hyper-intelligent gorilla Winston, who previously belonged to Overwatch as a scientist. Now he has taken up his armored high-tech suit and a Tesla cannon to charge into battle.
