Symmetra’s lasers make quick work
In Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch, all characters have unique abilities to assert themselves in battle against their adversaries. Unlike many other games, multiple players on a team can choose the same hero, thereby “stacking” the same ability multiple times. The YouTuber Muselk has gathered some friends and done just that with the character Symmetra.
She can place her little turrets anywhere in the game that immediately attack enemies with a laser beam as soon as they come within range. Alone, these lasers are not much of a threat, but when all 5 are in one place, they can send a character to the respawn timer very quickly. So what could be better than playing multiple Symmetras to not just deploy 5, but even 10 or 15 of these turrets and place them all in a single room? You better see it for yourself.
For the sake of fairness, it must be said that this strategy will likely only work against a few opponents. Characters like Winston or Junkrat can quickly make short work of a whole room full of lasers. Furthermore, there is more than one way on each map, so opponents could simply have chosen the other path. However, it is probably this very challenge that motivates players to walk into the death trap again and again – it doesn’t seem to be a real balance problem.
