A lousy combination of Mei and Zarya results in many kills in Overwatch – and a lot of laughter.
The various ultimate abilities of the heroes in Overwatch can often be combined in interesting ways. Even now, several months after the release of the game, players continuously find new combination possibilities that are often only possible on specific maps.
Gravity into Death
On Reddit, user DeadLightLock recently showed a little gameplay scene on the map “Ilios” that demonstrates a unique connection. At the control point “Well,” there is exactly the namesake well located centrally in the middle of the map – players are often sent into direct death by being pushed off.
Zarya’s ultimate is only partially suitable for racking up a lot of kills here – at least not through free fall. However, in conjunction with Mei, who places an ice wall so that it protrudes directly over the well, Zarya’s Graviton Surge can be positioned in such a way that all pulled enemies float above the abyss. What then happens… well, just see for yourself:
For many players, this is just another proof that Mei was sent directly by the devil. The corresponding post on Reddit has already received over 5,000 upvotes within a few hours and has been shooting through the roof since then.
Of course, this example is “only” in a fight against bots, and in a real match, the situation where all enemy players are so close to the well at the same time is unlikely to occur – but even then, you could surely throw two, three, or even four enemy players into the abyss. For a laugh, this combination is certainly good.
