The latest event in Overwatch has started. In Retribution, you replay an assassination by Blackwatch and fight against a lot of new, cool enemies.
A few moments ago, on April 10, 2018, the latest Overwatch event “Retribution” launched on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One!
The focus of the “Retribution” event is the namesake PvE mission. Here, you take on the role of Reaper, Moira, Genji, or McCree and blast your way through Talon troops, who don’t seem to like that you want to take out one of their leaders. Besides the regular foot soldiers, there are also particularly tough opponents, such as the agile assassin or the heavy soldier, who can take you out with just a few shots or hits.
Playing during this time is rewarded with the special “Archives” loot boxes in Overwatch, containing new skins, emotes, voicelines, and other cosmetic upgrades for the characters.
Additionally, you can find all content from the previous year. The “Uprising” map is also playable again in both modes, and the skins from last year are available again.
Queue Issues during the “Retribution” Event of Overwatch
As usual, a new patch along with a fresh event causes some login issues. There will be queues for the next few hours, so a little patience is necessary. By the next day, there usually won’t be any more waiting time.
The “Archives” or “Retribution” event runs until April 30. Players have exactly 3 weeks to secure all skins and to enjoy themselves properly in the PvE map.
