On May 22, the Anniversary Event 2018 starts in Overwatch. Two of the new skins have now been officially revealed. A third was teased by Overwatch head Jeff Kaplan. Is Doomfist finally coming in a suit?
Tracer and Soldier 76 are getting new Epic Skins: The official Twitter account of Overwatch recently published two new tweets. The tweets contain videos showcasing two new skins for Tracer and Soldier 76.
The two new skins are Epic skins. They will be somewhat easier to get than their legendary counterparts and will also cost less. You will likely be able to purchase them for 750 credits if Blizzard’s pricing policy for events remains the same.
Lightning Tracer comes in bright yellow: In Tracer’s new “Lightning” skin, she swaps her pilot outfit for a bright suit that could also be worn by a superhero. Blizzard also gives Tracer a new hairstyle and the lettering “Lightning”.

Venom Soldier 76 gets a villain look: Soldier 76 retains his iconic leather jacket in his new “Venom” skin and colors it a toxic green-turquoise. Blizzard stays with the hero theme and outfits Soldier with a helmet featuring a V-shaped visor that could also suit a supervillain well.

Hints on Doomfist in a suit: In the developer update, Game Director Jeff Kaplan hinted at a new legendary skin that will find its way into the game. He spoke of an “elegantly dressed gentleman that you have long wanted to see in formal attire.”
Kaplan is likely referring to Doomfist, whose appearance as a boss of Talon was already celebrated in the comic “Masquerade”. Doomfist wears a white suit with a bowtie there. The community had been expecting the skin for the “Retribution” event but was disappointed. Now there is a new chance!
All skins available in the Anniversary loot boxes: You will find the skins in the event’s loot boxes. The event loot boxes are guaranteed to contain one item from the Anniversary event and have a chance for content from past events. This way, you can receive new and old skins without having to choose.
