Blizzard has announced four more skins for the upcoming Winter Wonderland event in Overwatch in recent days. Here you can find out which epic and legendary skins for heroes you can look forward to.
This is already known: On December 5, Blizzard revealed the first skin, Snowboarder Zarya, which fans are already celebrating. According to a leak, the theme for Winter Wonderland 2018 is sports. At least one new skin confirms this.
These are four new skins for Winter Wonderland 2018
Biathlon Widowmaker: Widowmaker receives another “sport” skin. The legendary skin Biathlon gives Widowmaker a snow suit with ski goggles and a sport rifle. The suit immerses Widowmaker in pink colors.
Let’s hope her accuracy doesn’t suffer from the cold.
“Sugar Plum” Mercy: Mercy receives a new legendary skin where she appears as a fairy. In purple and turquoise colors with lots of glitter, the tone hits the namesake “candied plum”.
Long, pointed ears and translucent wings complete the image of a fairy.
“Arctic Fox” Lúcio: The new legendary skin of Lúcio is called “Arctic Fox” and is entirely in white and gray tones with blue and purple ornaments and typically Lúcio-green decorations.
In addition, Lúcio gets wolf fur in some areas and a wolf tail as well as ears on his helmet. It reminds somewhat of Hanzo’s wolf skins.
“Gift Wrap” Bastion: Bastion also receives a new skin for Winter Wonderland 2018, this time only the epic skin Gift Wrap. The omnic comes in green colors, wrapped like gift paper with Christmas trees.
Bastion is decorated with a red ribbon to make the gift perfect.
How do I get the skins? The skins are contained in the loot boxes of the Winter Wonderland event. You receive these through leveling up. You can also get loot boxes from event modes like Mei’s Yeti Hunt, which is expected to be playable again this year.
If you don’t want to rely on skins but want to buy them directly, you can also purchase them through the hero gallery.
- Legendary skins are expected to cost 3000 credits
- Epic skins are expected to cost 750 credits
Will there be more skins? For the Winter Wonderland 2017, there were seven new legendary skins for heroes. So there may still be a few announced before the start of Winter Wonderland.
When does Winter Wonderland start? The Winter Event 2018 starts on December 11 and lasts about three weeks. During this time, you can buy the skins or earn them through event loot boxes.
