Thanks to a glitch, Mercy from Overwatch is even more beautiful than usual – the span of her wings puts even some airplanes to shame.
To really stand out in Overwatch, you need to pull off a really good “Play of the Game”. Or you simply need to be Mercy and steal the show from all the other heroes.
No, it’s not about her “everyone glowing golden and getting revived” tricks, but about a glitch in the game that causes the span of her wings to grow significantly.
Actually, Mercy’s wings are more or less unremarkable and only come into play when she is rushing towards another player (using the shift jump) or is in glide mode to slowly descend (using the space bar).
However, on Reddit, player Rosilia noticed a glitch:
If you are currently “falling” with Mercy and glide down, then quickly perform the “Hello” emote and immediately continue gliding, Mercy’s wings grow to gigantic size. Rosilia also provided a short clip to show the Overwatch glitch in action:
You can hardly see the glitch as Mercy because you see Mercy from the first-person perspective logically. The 11 other heroes would certainly be amazed when Mercy briefly becomes a true angel and steals the show from everyone else.
Really, the glitch isn’t very “useful” either, because you can’t make it much clearer than saying “Hello, here’s the enemy healer” – but it certainly looks good.
It’s surely only a matter of time until Blizzard fixes this bug, even though it doesn’t cause much harm and likely doesn’t give either party an advantage.
