In the latest patch of Overwatch there has been a buff that was not mentioned in the patch notes. The supporter Lúcio has become even more versatile.
Wallriding with Lúcio becomes easier
Since a few days, “Ana”, the newest hero of Overwatch, is playable not only on PC but also on consoles. The patch also brought some changes to the ranked game mode as well as buffs for McCree and Zenyatta. Another adjustment, however, that is not mentioned in the patch notes, concerns the supporter Lúcio. He received a massive buff!
The already nimble healer can now slide along walls much more easily than before. Instead of losing height after 3 seconds of sliding and then “falling off” the wall, Lúcio can now slide endlessly in one direction on a flat surface without sinking. But it gets even better: The Brazilian musician can easily take sharp 90° angles. This way, Lúcio can essentially ride along a wall indefinitely without ever having to touch the ground again.
The Youtuber Professor Ganymede has demonstrated how this affects the game in his latest video. Be sure to check out what kind of chasms Lúcio can now easily overcome.
In summary, this will make Lúcio significantly more manageable for inexperienced players. Professionals should now be able to get even more out of the supporter, as when you no longer have to worry about riding the wall, you can fully concentrate on shooting (and a bit of healing).
