That Overwatch contains microtransactions has been known for a while. Now we finally also know what the loot boxes are supposed to cost.
The good news in advance: The loot boxes that we can buy in Overwatch for microtransactions only contain cosmetic stuff like voice lines, skins, or spray logos.

For 1.99 euros, you get two boxes, while for 39.99 euros spent on the game, you get 50 boxes, which is 10 more than if you had bought them all individually. A list with the price breakdown is available here shortly afterwards:
- 1.99 euros = 2 loot boxes
- 4.99 euros = 5 loot boxes
- 9.99 euros = 11 loot boxes
- 19.99 euros = 24 loot boxes
- 39.99 euros = 50 loot boxes
The loot boxes are also available for free every few level-ups in the game, so no one is forced to spend real money on buyable boxes.
