Overwatch has already offered some really cool gameplay scenes during the beta. Check out some highlights here.
Multikills and Solo Fails – The Fun Factor in Overwatch
Although the closed beta of Overwatch lasted only a few days, there were many interesting scenes and moments that were fortunately captured by many players. Kotaku has compiled a small selection that we want to present to you here.
First, the German knight Reinhardt shows you how to take on four opponents at the same time. It requires a bit of willingness to sacrifice, but that’s certainly given with the hammer-swinging man.
Pretty cool is also Genji’s ability to completely reflect enemy projectiles. This works not only against normal fire (which often drives Bastion to despair) but also against some ultimate abilities. When Mei throws out her Blizzard, it can also be reflected back by Genji, freezing the enemy team!
Lucio can not only slide along walls with the spacebar but can also fight his way back onto the field with several jumps. This led to this amusing scene on the Ilios map, where a quite surprised Zarya takes the place of the doomed musician.
Mei consistently causes exciting rescue operations with her ice wall. Actually, the wall should not be able to truly imprison other players to immobility, but if the bug occurs, the opponent ends up looking quite foolish.
Speaking of Mei : Together with Reaper , the ultimates can be an extremely effective combination, as this small clip shows.
A similarly great combination of ultimate abilities can be achieved with Zarya and Pharah . The Russian woman pulls all enemies together and Pharah rains a shower of rockets down on the helpless foes. Whoosh, clean field.
To wrap things up, we have an overly motivated Mercy, who has decided to support her tank healing. She walks over corpses. Even her own.
