With the new patch for the PTR of Overwatch, the new hero “Wrecking Ball” aka hamster Hammond is playable. We show you what Hammond can do: The skills of the racing hamster!
Hammond – a new tank on the PTR: Under the nickname “Wrecking Ball”, hamster Hammond has made his way to Overwatch. Hammond is a hamster who moves in a ball. With his armored vehicle, he is classified as a tank.
Hammond – a mobile tank
“Wrecking Ball” Hammond is a mobile tank who, like D.Va, makes use of a vehicle. In his ball, Hammond can move quickly and uses the vehicle itself as a weapon.
Hammond has 600 health points, of which 100 are armor. Unlike D.Va, Hammond is instantly defeated when his ball is destroyed – he cannot call a new vehicle.
Hammond’s abilities – his skills in Overwatch
Quad Cannons (left mouse button): Automatic assault rifles that cover the opponent with bullets at a fast fire rate.
Wrecking Ball (right mouse button): Hammond throws a hook to the environment that he can swing on. If he swings fast enough, he can deal damage to enemies and knock them back.
Ball Form (Shift): The vehicle transforms into a ball and Hammond can move faster. During the movement, he cannot attack or use his shield, but he can use his grappling hook.
Collision Course (Ctrl): Hammond slams onto the ground, dealing damage to enemies and knocking them into the air. Usable only in the air.
Adaptive Shield (E): Hammond temporarily creates a personal shield. The more enemies are nearby, the stronger the shield. The shield absorbs 100 damage points and an additional 100 for every enemy nearby.
Minefield (ultimate ability): Hammond lays out a large field of proximity mines that disappear after a while. Enemies who touch the mines receive significant damage.
