The character “Zameen” designed by fans for Overwatch could be transferred 1:1 into Blizzard’s game. Check out the outstanding work here.
Zameen – With Hookah Cannon and Snake Charms
If fans love something and also possess a lot of talent, they occasionally create true masterpieces. Particularly, Overwatch inspires many artists to push their limits and create some truly impressive works. Mario Manzanares and Tim Moreels have together designed a character for Overwatch that aligns the gameplay style and especially the design of Blizzard’s world in the truest sense “like a glove to a hand”.
The character Zameen has fully developed abilities and also features a quite impressive character model, which you can see here in all its glory.
Especially the colors, the face, and the design of the weapon are well done and seem to fit seamlessly into the style of Overwatch.

The abilities are also well thought out and expand the gameplay.
- The “Hookah Cannon” can deal damage at long distances in the primary fire, while in the secondary mode it releases a small cloud of poison that applies a DoT to an enemy.
- As a second ability, Zameen creates a snake from hard light (similar to Symmetra’s hard light turrets), which slithers towards a target, bites it, and temporarily stuns it, while also dealing damage over time.
- As an ultimate, Zameen leaves his Hookah Cannon behind and lets all substance escape that remains in the canister, dealing high damage to enemies in the vicinity (but also to Zameen himself).
Will this concept ever be implemented in any form? Questionable. At least a nod of recognition from Blizzard’s side should be well deserved by the two graphic designers.
