New sound files in Overwatch bring party vibes. Is Doomfist coming with a volleyball tournament for the Summer Games?
In the PTR, the test realm of Overwatch, new files are repeatedly found in the depths of the game that can only be logically associated late. Among them are recurring music pieces and sound snippets.
On Reddit, the user pyth0nix has now found two short music files. These can be attributed to the Summer Games, the next in-game event for Overwatch. Here, there will be the old skins and cosmetic rewards from last year, but also some new features. The first piece is associated with the 30 seconds of waiting time that will be at the start of the brawl:
As for the second piece, there is only speculation that it is the music for the loading screen of the new brawl. Then the brawl would probably be a bit darker than the cheerful Lúcioball.
Doomfist Volleyball at the Summer Games 2017?
Fans speculate that this could be an action-packed volleyball match. That would fit perfectly with Doomfist’s ability kit – because who could hit balls better than the epitome of a punch fighter?
Most players hope that Lúcioball will at least be available again in the arcade, as the mode was praised by many players last year. Although it was relatively simple, one could spend a lot of time in it.
It would also be possible that the Summer Games get a darker touch. Because the villain Doomfist stands for development through conflict and progress – although he is actually excluded from tournaments.
Doomfist will debut on July 27, 2017 – so still this week. The Summer Games will likely kick off a week later, on August 3.
The release for the next hero after Doomfist has also been leaked – at least if this theory is true.
