More gameplay from the mobile clone of Overwatch. The game sets new standards – unfortunately not upwards.
China is always good for some funny surprises thanks to the relatively lenient copyright laws, especially when particularly successful games are copied in the cheapest way to make a few bucks. A few days ago, we reported on the Overwatch clone “Hero Mission”, which basically contains mostly unoriginal rip-offs of the popular Overwatch characters.
The YouTuber Alpharad thought that after the success of the first video, he would show more gameplay scenes – and they do not disappoint either.
The animations are practically non-existent, and the game mechanics are copied down to the smallest detail from Overwatch.
But at least they didn’t just take the Overwatch heroes, but also threw in other characters. Characters like Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII), a Stormtrooper, or the Marvel hero Hawkeye can also be found in the game (who, however, functions exactly like Hanzo).
The only real difference from Overwatch seems to be the very light clothing of the female characters in the game and the associated “bouncy physics” for the breasts. Of course, such things cannot be missing in a blockbuster like Hero Mission.
Starting from June 23, Hero Mission will enter beta, and Alpharad promises to deliver more firsthand gameplay. However, he is not quite sure yet if he wants to play the mobile game on iOS or “Andrews”. Good grief.
No matter how much justified criticism one can direct at Blizzard and Overwatch – I think we can all agree that we are glad Overwatch doesn’t look like Hero Mission.
Data miners have apparently discovered three new maps – it might soon go to New Zealand and India!
