“The Last Bastion”: Bastion’s Awakening in the Wilderness
As promised, Blizzard released the new cinematic for Overwatch at GamesCom 2016. This time, “The Last Bastion” focuses on the omnic Bastion, who is reactivated after a long period of deactivation. This happens more or less by chance when the bird Ganimedes wants to build a nest on him. However, with reactivation, his old programming kicks in again: Bastion was equipped with a goal – the destruction of Stuttgart. Thus, he makes his way through the forest, always heading towards the city. Along the way, he observes nature and acknowledges its beauty – until his combat protocols are reactivated.

Furthermore, during the video, you also get a brief look at Reinhardt’s Crusader unit, which is familiar with the protection of the city of Stuttgart. Nearby the cinematic, there is also the map “Eichenwalde”, which is scheduled to be released early in September.
