Yesterday, on April 11, 2017, a new in-game event began in Overwatch. The “Uprising” event (fr. Insurrection / eng. Uprising) mainly revolves around the backstory of Overwatch – at least narratively. The truth is, of course, that it’s about acquiring the new cosmetic items that will be available in the game for nearly 3 weeks. Especially the “classic deployment team” of Mercy, Torbjörn, Reinhardt, and Tracer should appeal to many fans. Anyone who isn’t lucky enough to get all those cool upgrades can craft skins, emotes, and highlight intros themselves by spending credits. Credits are earned for duplicate items from loot boxes. But be careful: special items cost three times the normal price, as they are time-limited. So think twice about whether you really want to pay the price for a skin.
The “Uprising” event in Overwatch lasts until May 1, 2017. After that, no new “Uprising” loot boxes can be purchased or earned, instead only the “regular” loot boxes will be available.
