Even in Overwatch 2, there’s a Halloween event to entertain players during the scariest time of the year. We will show you when the event starts, what skins you can expect, and what mode will be playable soon.
When does the Halloween event 2022 start? Overwatch 2 celebrated its release on October 4, and despite the short time, Blizzard has prepared a Halloween event for you.
The announcement was made in the short season trailer and dates an event from October 25 to November 8, 2022. Junkenstein’s Revenge and its horde mode are said to return with some cool skins and rewards.

All about the skins, rewards, and the limited-time mode
What kind of mode will appear? Those familiar with Overwatch 1 probably know about the Junkenstein mode. It is a horde mode where various heroes must fight against several rounds of computer-controlled robots.
In 2022, the mode returns as a new offshoot titled “Junkenstein’s Revenge: Bride’s Wrath”.
This time, the “Zomnics” are back, against which you must defend yourself as a team. With a spooky atmosphere and cool outfits, you can also unlock rewards.
What skins will be coming? Our newly embedded trailer shows you all the upcoming skins that Overwatch 2 has to offer for Halloween. At least two of them are new skins. The following can be obtained:
- Junker Queen – Receives an executioner skin
- Kiriko – Gains a witch costume
Will there be free rewards? The Halloween event provides you with new challenges that reward you with free goodies. These include:
- Name Card: Nightfall Over Adlersbrunn
- Weapon Charm: Jack-o‘-Lantern
- Battle Pass XP
Additionally, you can even snag a free skin with a corresponding spray for Winston on Twitch. To do this, you must watch a streamer for a maximum of four hours as they play Overwatch 2. Two hours are also enough, but then you will only get the spray. Make sure the streamer titles their stream with “Drops enabled”; otherwise, you won’t receive the items.
