The developers of Helldivers 2 have started a charity campaign for children, and the players have already reached the actual goal in just minutes.
What is this charity campaign? The community organization “Freedom Alliance” has launched a charity campaign (via freedomalliance.gg) with the support of the developers of Helldivers 2 for children. Players can donate money or participate in an auction with special merchandise from Helldivers 2 for four days.
All proceeds from this charity campaign will go to Save the Children (USA). This organization is active in both the USA and global crisis areas, providing medical and humanitarian aid to children. Special attention is given to rapid emergency care, with Save the Children aiming to be in crisis areas within 72 hours. Additionally, the organization advocates for children’s access to education.
€35,000 in one day
How has the charity campaign gone so far? The charity campaign has already been a great success after one day. The original goal of €3,713 was surpassed within minutes. Over €35,000 has been raised in just one day. The campaign runs until June 29.
In addition to the donations from the heroes of Over-Earth, there are also some special items up for auction. Among the auction items are artworks from the game and various weapons, as well as a signed copy of Helldivers 2 for the PS5 and a signed bag.
However, the highlights and currently highest-rated items are a controller in the Helldivers 2 Limited Edition for the PS5 with signatures from the developers on the packaging, as well as a replica of the B-01 helmet from Helldivers 2, also with the signatures of the developers.
The helmet comes with battle scars from the fight against the robots and is made of polyurethane, resin, and an acrylic visor. You can see it in the title image.
