Do you just want to build beautiful castles without having to deal with things like resource management or fighting? Then the building game Tiny Glade, which will be released on Steam, could be perfect for you.
What game is this about? Tiny Glade is a building game and the first video game by the indie developer duo Pounce Light. The developers themselves describe it as a “small, relaxing castle-building game” that knows no wrong approaches or fixed goals.
The game focuses on the detailed and intuitive construction of idyllic castles against a picturesque backdrop and completely dispenses with mechanics that could be distracting. So you don’t have to worry about resources or protect your castle from attackers.
The developers have already announced the release date of the game in a trailer. You can watch this trailer here:
Tiny Glade is coming in 2024 and is on more wishlists than the new Doom
When exactly will the game be released? Tiny Glade will be released on September 23, 2024, on Steam. Versions for macOS, the Nintendo Switch, or other consoles have not been announced yet.
Currently, Tiny Glade is ranked 19th on the list of most wished games on Steam, according to SteamDB. This places it one spot ahead of the exact opposite of a relaxed, peaceful building game – the first-person shooter Doom: The Dark Ages. So, a ranking with real “Barbenheimer” potential.
What do fans say about the trailer? The comparison to Doom doesn’t stop with the wishlist ranking. For example, majorjuggler488 writes in the comments under the YouTube video that he could really use a little break in Tiny Glade right now:
“After playing Doom: Eternal, this is the game I really need right now.”
How is the game being received so far? The cozy game generated a lot of excitement with its first demo in June 2024: Still within the same month, the game broke the mark of 1 million wishlists, as the developers proudly announced on X.
If you want to try Tiny Glade for yourself before the release, you can download a free demo version on Steam until September 23.
In the genre of building games, there are always charming cozy games with which you can leisurely pass the time. It’s different with MMORPGs – at least until now. Because Palia aims to become just that and might even succeed. You can read more about it here: Palia: After an hour of gameplay, I’m sure – it’s not a classic MMORPG, but exactly what I need right now
