What has happened recently in Outriders? For several months, not much has happened. After a radical change to the legendary loot drops, things have been pretty quiet. The developers have used the time to make minor adjustments, fix bugs and glitches, and work on balancing.
The loot shooter is now back and has two major announcements. Soon a large update with new content will come, and a new expansion has been announced for next year.

New Horizon brings fresh expeditions and reshapes the endgame
What kind of update is this? It’s called New Horizon, brings new content, and also revamps the endgame of Outriders.

What is changing with expeditions? The annoying timer that counted your time has been removed. The quality of your rewards is therefore no longer dependent on how quickly you complete an expedition.
This was one of the biggest points of criticism from the community regarding endgame content. The countdown negatively affected gameplay, caused stress, and heavily restricted build choices to pure DPS builds.

Outriders receives the “Worldslayer” expansion but remains tight-lipped
What kind of DLC is this? In the broadcast, a proper expansion for Outriders was announced for the first time. Worldslayer will likely deliver new story content, at least that’s what can be inferred from the teaser trailer. A variant of the player character is seen kneeling over a corpse.
Suddenly, a mysterious woman appears, who strongly resembles one of the villains from the main story. She probably also possesses supernatural powers like our Outrider.
When is the expansion coming? So far, it is only clear that Worldslayer is set to be released in 2022. When exactly, we will find out at a later time.
