What reasons are there for or against updates? The Korean manufacturer now promises a fixed number of updates for many models, which they are guaranteed to receive:
- The models of the Galaxy S series after the S20 series will receive operating system updates for four years.
- The latest Galaxy S24 models will even receive 7 operating system updates.
- The models of the Galaxy Z series that came out after the Fold 2/Flip 2 are entitled to four upgrades according to Samsung.
- For the models of the “Galaxy Tab S8” series and all S series tablets that came out after the Galaxy Tab S8, the manufacturer offers Android updates for four years.
