The places in One Piece are inspired by real cities. So if you are planning your next vacation and want to feel like a true Straw Hat Pirate, you should visit these real locations.
The end of the year is approaching, and many of you are surely already thinking about where to go on vacation next year. The snow-covered mountains call, but so do the sunny beaches or, like in my case, the land of animes – Japan.
If you are a big fan of One Piece, there is even a possibility to visit the real places that inspired several locations in the anime. We from MeinMMO have selected various islands for you and will tell you where you can feel like Luffy and his friends on your next vacation.

Venice
- Inspiration for: Water 7
- Country in real life: Italy

After the Straw Hat Crew fought through the cloud area of Skypeia, they land back on solid ground, and thus also in Water 7. This is a city characterized by many canals. Yagara Bulls are used as a means of transportation, which pull the boats through the canals.
The surrounding houses are mostly in light colors with red roofs. There are many shops, and a lively hustle and bustle prevails in the individual alleys. In addition, there are several docks in Water 7 where new ships are being worked on. If you want to experience the feeling of being in Water 7, Venice is perfect for that.
However, there are no Yagara Bulls here to pull you around. Instead, you must pay gondoliers to take you from point A to B. One can only hope that there isn’t a big tidal wave in Venice that gets worse every year.
