The new chapter 1120 of One Piece has just been released and continues the adventures of Luffy and his crew. The Straw Hat Pirates welcome another member aboard their ship, who will likely sail with them until the next island.

Which character is being discussed? The Straw Hat Pirates are about to set sail and escape from Egghead Island when they are attacked by one of the Five Elders. Lilith, one of Dr. Vegapunk’s satellites, calculates that they must first get rid of the enemy, or else the Thousand Sunny will crash during the escape.
That’s when Atlas comes to help, another satellite of Dr. Vegapunk. She knocks Lilith out so that the enemies will lose their signal. She sacrifices herself to stop the member of the Five Elders and save Lilith.
Meanwhile, Nami instructs Zoro to bring Lilith below deck. This hides her from the Five Elders, who want to destroy Dr. Vegapunk and almost all of his satellites. Thus, the Straw Hat Pirates will take Lilith with them to the next island.

Lilith is a strong addition to the Straw Hat Pirates
Who is Lilith and what can she do? To make his work more productive, Dr. Vegapunk divided himself into six additional satellites. The satellites can act independently and share their knowledge with Dr. Vegapunk. Each of the satellites has inherited a personality trait:
- Shaka – Justice
- Lilith – Malice
- Edison – Ideas
- Pythagoras – Wisdom
- Atlas – Violence
- York – Greed
Lilith was created with the malice trait. She uses her technology to rob other sailors and raise money for her research. Although she has a malicious nature, she cares about other characters.
In battle, Lilith uses a bubble gun. With it, she can shoot bubbles that redirect other objects. The bubbles can also weaken Devil Fruit users. With her analytical thinking and knowledge of technology, she is the perfect addition to the Straw Hat Pirates.
Will she join the Straw Hat Pirates permanently? So far, it seems that the Straw Hat Pirates will take Lilith with them to protect her from the World Government. It is possible that Luffy might invite her to join the crew later on. But even then, Lilith would have to agree first.
It might be that Lilith will stay on Elbaf, and their paths will part there. But we will likely find out in a few months.
