Place 3: The Greatest Pirate Ship of All Time

- Episodes: 312 (and 309)
- User ratings: 9,296 (and 8,513)
- Arc: Enies Lobby
In episode 312, the Straw Hat Pirates say goodbye to their battered ship, the Flying Lamb. Luffy’s crew received the ship from Miss Kaya and since then they have experienced many adventures with it.
The Flying Lamb safely brought the Straw Hat crew over Reverse Mountain and guided them back to the sea from the sky island Skypiea. Due to the extensive damage, it is impossible to repair the ship.
Currently, Luffy and his crew are on their way to Egghead Island:
Therefore, Luffy decides to set the ship on fire. The crew thanks the ship for everything it has done. Suddenly, the Straw Hats hear the voice of the ship. The Flying Lamb thanks them for accompanying the pirates on their adventure.
The farewell scene brought tears not only to Luffy and his friends but also to fans. They were among the touching moments of One Piece. In the comments, many users can hardly believe how much they have cried over a ship.
Place 2: The Marine Headquarters Falls! Whitebeard’s Wrath!

- Episodes: 484 (and 482)
- User ratings: 10,817 (and 10,719)
- Arc: Marineford
The two episodes from the Marineford arc were spaced only closely together. The episodes revolve around perhaps the worst death of the entire story. Luffy tries to save his adopted brother Ace from his execution. However, as we know, he does not succeed.
Ace throws himself into a magma fist from Akainu to protect his brother. Luffy holds his dead brother in his arms and lets out a chilling scream. The scream of Luffy’s voice actress even impressed Ace’s voice actor. Luffy recalls the fondest memories with Ace and shortly thereafter has a mental breakdown.
The death triggers something in many characters: Luffy’s grandfather Monkey D. Garp remembers how he held Ace as a baby. Even the powerful Whitebeard is beside himself, after all, he had been Ace’s captain for years.
In this episode, probably only the faces of fans who have hearts of stone remained dry. Even so many years after the events, Ace’s death has a strong impact, and viewers enjoy every flashback with him.
