In a survey on MeinMMO, we wanted to know which of the Straw Hat Pirates from One Piece you would like to have as a friend the most. The Straw Hat Pirates received varying numbers of votes. However, only one made it to the top.
The Straw Hat Pirates all have their quirks. Some are more collegial, while others are more withdrawn. That’s why MeinMMO wanted to know from you with which pirates from Luffy’s crew you would prefer to spend time.
Here are the results: 1,818 people participated in the survey. You could cast your vote for the Straw Hat Pirate you would like to hang out with the most. You only had one vote to cast.
Here we list which pirates made it to places 4-10:
- Place 10: Usopp (1%, 25 votes)
- Place 9: Brook (2%, 44 votes)
- Place 8: Franky (3%, 47 votes)
- Place 7: Jinbe (4%, 77 votes)
- Place 6: Tony Chopper (5%, 95 votes)
- Place 5: Sanji (10%, 177 votes)
- Place 4: Nami (12%, 210 votes)
This means that the two strongest pirates from the Straw Hat Crew and Nico Robin land in the top three. In places 10-6, it is noticeable that there are only a few votes difference between the individual ranks. Only with the jump from Chopper to Sanji do the Straw Hats, who are more popular with MeinMMO readers, come in.
Although Usopp will likely have a bigger role in the upcoming arc, the marksman only ends up in last place. Perhaps his popularity will rise with the Elbaf arc and he will show that he is someone you would like to hang out with.

- User Justine Koch would like to hang out with the captain of the Heart Pirates, Trafalgar Law. MeinMMO anime expert Jasmin Beverungen can only agree.
- T.M.P. finds a good reason to date Vivi. After all, she is rich. This way, she could pay for all the leisure activities of the two!
- KonoNana mentions Bentham as a good comrade. Bentham, Bon Curry or Mister 2 was an agent of the Baroque Works, but is now in very different fields.
Besides, users Sero and Justine Koch revealed that they would also like to hang out with Chopper. According to Sero, they could learn together, gather herbs, and do things to help others. That sounds like a relaxing day!
EsmaraldV, on the other hand, voted for Nami, but we’d better not ask why. All right, then we’ll hold back at this point and introduce you to the top three places instead.
Place 3: Nico Robin
- Result: 17% with 313 votes
More One Piece fans would rather hang out with Nico Robin than with Nami. Unlike the hot-headed navigator, Nico Robin is the more relaxed type. She prefers a good book and is usually found on a sun lounger. We can imagine that she would be the perfect companion for a vacation in Egypt.
Place 2: Monkey D. Luffy
- Result: 20% with 364 votes
The chaotic captain has made it to second place. He is up for any fun and can laugh at any silly joke. He would not only be the perfect companion for your next adventure, but he could probably also tell you where to find the best all-you-can-eat buffets nearby.
Place 1: Zoro
- Result: 26% with 466 votes
Zoro is by far the pirate you want as a buddy the most. Zoro’s muscles don’t come from nowhere; they come from hard training. He is often seen with weights in hand, training to become the strongest swordsman. Zoro could motivate you to train.
Aside from that, he would be a good drinking partner, who wouldn’t say no to sake. But you should better look at the way to the next bar yourself, as you could easily get lost on your way there with Zoro.
Through his training, Zoro wants to become the strongest swordsman in the world. Currently, Mihawk Dulacre holds this title.
