God of War revolutionized its own game series on the PS4 in 2018. It won several awards and is still considered one of the best games of all time. Until next week, you can secure this masterpiece for €10 on PlayStation.
What is God of War? God of War was released on the PS4 in 2018 and was essentially a reboot of the classic God of War
– series. Kratos is now older and tries to lead a quieter life with his son. This does not go as hoped, and Kratos must hack his way through Norse mythology.
This time, Kratos has traded his blades for an axe and fights slower than in his past adventures. Blocking and parrying are important tools that must be used in combat.
At his side fights his son Atreus, who provides support in combat with his bow and arrows. Throughout the game, players collect various armors and runes that can enhance them or provide new effects. Additionally, skill points can be used to improve attacks and learn new moves.

The game still looks good today and can compete with many next-gen titles, and is included in our list of the most beautiful PS4 games. Especially the creatures and mythological places are impressive.
The story is also exciting, especially the father-son dynamic between Kratos and Atreus. While Kratos must deal with his own past as a father, Atreus wants to learn more about his family and the world outside.
How is the game rated? The game has a high score of 94 on Metacritic and won the award for Best Game of the Year at the Game Awards in 2018. Critics praise the mature story, the combat system, and the great presentation.
