One of the craziest and highest-rated series on Amazon is back for another round – and sooner than expected.
Many years have passed since the pilot episode of Hazbin Hotel was released on YouTube. After a whole season was finally released on Amazon in 2024, the response was enormous – we celebrated it as well. Currently, the series holds a 4.9 / 5 star rating on Amazon and was such a success that not only was Season 2 confirmed, but Seasons 3 and 4 have already received the “green light” as well.

What is Hazbin Hotel about? In Hazbin Hotel, we follow Charlie Morningstar, the daughter of Lucifer, the lord of Hell. Because many sinners are killed in Hell every year, she has a plan: she wants to open a hotel where the sinners of Hell can be freed from their vices and perhaps achieve ascension to Heaven. The idea is met with mockery and scorn – not only from the corrupted inhabitants of Hell itself, but also from the angels of Heaven, who descend once a year to decimate Hell’s residents and kill as many of them as possible.
Although it is an animated series, it is clearly aimed at adults. The world is dark, vulgar, and it features a lot of harsh themes, such as substance abuse or sexual exploitation.
When does the second season start? As the teaser reveals, the second season of Hazbin Hotel will start on October 29, 2025 – in about 6 weeks.
The waiting time is sweetened with another series
If you liked Hazbin Hotel, you might also enjoy the other series from the same universe – Helluva Boss. So far, this series has only been available on YouTube and in English, but Amazon Prime has also secured the rights and has released a dubbed version. Future seasons will also be released on Amazon and YouTube.
If you haven’t seen Helluva Boss yet and have been put off by the English voiceover: This is the perfect filler (or for some, even the better series), until Charlie Morningstar and her hotel for the rehabilitation of sinners continues in October.

Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel have been two of my favorites over the past few years and have introduced me to a whole new genre of animated series while sparking my interest in musicals – something I never thought would be possible.
If you’ve been avoiding both series, you should definitely check them out. Great characters, an interesting world, songs that linger in your mind, and dark themes to ponder.
