One of the best games for Warhammer 40K lets your Space Marine unleash new weapons on Tyranids, the Emperor and Steam don’t even want money for it

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is getting another free update. Included: 6 new weapons and the mission to retake a massive Imperial spaceship from the Tyranids.

What kind of update is this? The free update for owners of the game, named “Reclamation” (which translates to “Reclamation”), went live on November 25, 2025. 

In line with the name, there’s a new operation. This revolves around the recapturing of the Wrath of Espandor, a Void Ship. These are the massive space cruisers of the Imperium, specifically built to traverse the void of space.

Additionally, there are now 6 new weapons:

• Bolt Sniper Rifle
• Heavy Bolter
• Instigator Bolt Carbine
• Heavy Bolt Pistol
• Power Fist
• Thunder Hammer

Moreover, there are new Stratagems, which are special modifiers for operations, and rewards. So far, so free.

Cool armors for Season Pass 2 owners

Is there anything new for Season Pass owners? Yes, there is. Those who own Season Pass 2 will also receive the new Blood Angels Champion Pack and the Salamanders Cosmetic Pack.

The Blood Angel Pack comes with a new radiant armor and a golden death mask of Sanguinius, the Primarch of the Blood Angels. It also includes a unique Jump Pack for the Assault class and a chainsword in the style of the Blood Angels. 

In the Salamanders Cosmetic Pack, there are two new helmets, a backpack, and some new cosmetic elements for the chapters that originate from the Salamanders: the Dark Krakens, Dragonspears, the Covenant of Fire, and the Black Vipers.

Both the Blood Angels Champion Pack and the Salamanders Cosmetic Pack can also be purchased separately. So if the other contents from the Season Pass are not of interest to you, you can also access the packs individually.
