Ubisoft has just put many of its games on sale on Steam. Among them is one of the best city-building simulations – with a gigantic discount of 90%.
Which game is it? The title in question is Anno 1800. It is the 7th installment of the Anno series and was originally released in 2019.
- Players can build cities and lead them into the age of industrialization. They must optimize production chains and keep the population satisfied.
- Over time, you can create a complex trade network that spans multiple regions. You will encounter other nations with whom you can either conduct diplomacy or engage in war.
- The special feature in Anno 1800 is the tropical regions where you can establish a colony. Here, there are valuable resources that can be well-utilized back home.
- The mood of the population can manifest in many forms. You can manipulate newspaper articles to influence their satisfaction. In the worst-case scenario, the population threatens to strike.
How good is it? On Steam, Anno 1800 has received an 81% positive review rating. This puts it on par with Anno 1404 and secures its place as the best Anno game of the last 10 years.
The reviews praise the diverse buildings and the management aspect, but advise war strategy fans to avoid the title.
