The roguelite building game Against the Storm is currently available cheaply on Steam for only 15 € and brings even more fun with the new DLC.
What is the game about? In the popular game Against the Storm, you play as the vice-king, repeatedly building new settlements in a storm-ravaged world. The game combines building and roguelite elements. You must provide for your residents, keep an eye on the mood of the impatient queen, and at the same time carefully clear the surrounding forest, as reckless deforestation has consequences. Each settlement you build provides you with loot.
However, the settlements will be destroyed after a while by the all-consuming storm, but you will receive rewards with which you can unlock permanent upgrades to prepare for higher difficulty levels. It won’t be boring, as there are five different peoples in the game, each with different needs. Additionally, it offers you changing maps and various conditions in the settlements.

They occupy their territory in the peacefully appearing greenery and build magnificent houses. From the runner harbor, the water strider plunges into new adventures and runs over the water to gather treasures.

What is the most important content of the DLC? The new DLC Keepers of the Stone for Against the Storm has been released. Additionally, the game is currently reduced to 15 €. In the new coastal grove biome, frogs are now settling. The settlement is located right by the water, far away from the royal envoys and their support. The frogs are proud creatures, which is why they do not live in normal accommodations but in special frog houses.
There is much to discover in the surroundings of the coastal grove, and you may also stumble upon hidden treasures during your expeditions. This is made possible by the new building runner harbor, which only exists in the coastal grove. From there, you can send a water strider on a hunt; it only needs a food source to search for treasures for you. Additionally, you can face 12 new tasks tailored to the frogs’ abilities.
How much does the game cost? Actually, Against the Storm is available on Steam for almost 30 €. But with the current weekend deal, it’s possible to grab the game for around 15 €. The new DLC Keepers of the Storm is now being offered for about 14 €.
Against the Storm somewhat resembles the novel Don Quixote. However, you are not fighting against windmills but against the storm. The game is very diverse and continuously offers you new challenges to master: A hidden gem on Steam has captivated me for nearly 160 hours – it always helps me when I’m feeling down.
