Just aired the latest State of the Game from The Division. In the live stream, Massive revealed how The Division will continue in the coming month.
What is the State of the Game? In this live stream, the developers keep the community updated on everything happening around The Division.
This week it was about October. In addition to a new Shield, there will be another Global Event. There are also news regarding the announced Dev Blog for The Division 2.

This is the next Shield “Rebel”
The next Shield “Rebel” is coming at the beginning of October and sends you into the resistance.
This is what you need to do for the new Shield: To complete the Shield, you must reach wave 15 in resistance mode. This requirement is not retroactive.
What are the Shields? These new achievements are supposed to provide various smaller rewards for the agents. This applies in The Division 1 as well as in part 2.

Next Global Event Blackout comes in October
As already suspected, there will also be another Global Event in October with Blackout.
When does the event start? Blackout will start on October 22nd and will be active for a week. Exact dates will be announced later.
These are the modifications for Blackout:
- Blackout (Always active): Players receive shock ammunition, which you can use to stun enemies. By running or shooting, you fill a charge meter. You deal more damage the higher the charge is.
- Extreme Blackout (In addition to Blackout): Enemies can be killed in melee by overcharging. If you miss the enemy or exceed your charge of 100%, players and allies will be stunned.
- Total Blackout (In addition to Blackout and extreme Blackout): Your charge meter empties faster when close to team members.
These gear sets you can draw from the containers:
- DeadEye
- Tactician’s Authority
- D3 FNC Set – A tank set in 1.8 – How to keep your team alive
- Assault Gear of the Striker – How to build a top striker in 1.8

What else is coming?
Like in September, there will also be smaller events in the upcoming month.
On October 5th, the Dark Zone weekend starts. This weekend is all about supply deliveries. The first 24 hours will have double rewards, and on the next day, the deliveries should occur every 30 minutes.
From October 18th, there will be another double container weekend. During this event, players will receive double the operational performance containers.
