During the Christmas season, you can get a suitable outfit in The Division. Additionally, Massive will give you a mask if you log in over the next few weeks.
In December, The Division wants to lure you back to Manhattan again. This is not only supposed to work with a new Shield and two Global Events. The Advent containers, known from last year, are making a return.
Players can therefore unlock the Christmas costume again. Additionally, there is a new container type. If you log in in time, you will also receive a mask as a gift.
The Christmas costume returns
Once again this year, there will be special containers with a Christmas theme. The Advent containers are returning, along with the Christmas costume.
What can you get from the Advent containers? In addition to parts for the Santa outfit, you can receive various cosmetic items and gestures, all themed around Christmas.

How can I open the containers? Encrypted containers can be opened with cipher keys. The keys can be purchased with real money.
Another method is to find key fragments. You receive these fragments from named enemies throughout the game world. You need 10 fragments for one key.
Will there be new items? There is no information on that. However, it is likely that it will only be the same items that were available last winter. If you already have almost everything from the containers, you should prefer to spend your keys on the new outfit containers that have also been announced.

Get the Stripes Mask
Every player can receive the Stripes mask in December. Thematically, this mask is supposed to fit The Division 2 and is called “Stripes”, which seems to be inspired by the US flag. It is also known as “Stars and Stripes”. Since The Division 2 takes place in Washington D.C., that makes sense. Because this is the capital of the USA.
What do I have to do for the mask? Not much. You just have to log into The Division between December 6 and January 10. The mask will then be unlocked at your reward vendor.

New Container Type Announced: “Encrypted Collection”
Starting today, December 6, there will be new “Encrypted Collection” containers in The Division in the premium shop.
What can you get from these containers? The Division has now gathered several outfits. The Encrypted Collection now includes a total of 19 outfits from four generations. You cannot get other clothes or skins from the “Encrypted Collection” containers.
So if you still lack outfit parts, this is your chance. In exchange, however, the containers Mark 1-4 will be removed from the inventory starting January 10.

What about the items from these containers that are not part of the outfits? Apparently, there will be ways in the future to obtain these directly. Ubisoft only writes:
While the containers are being removed, players will still have the opportunity to obtain their contents temporarily in the in-game store as a direct purchase. Keep an eye out!
This would mean that rare outfits that are not part of the Encrypted Collection are only available for purchase with real money in the future.
December brings not only outfits. This is how The Division wants to bind you to Christmas.
