The new episode of 7 vs. Wild is about to start with a treasure hunt in the middle of the night. While the participants want to build a shelter later in the day to stay warm, the group is already on the verge of splitting up.

How did the treasure hunt go? In the first episode of 7 vs. Wild Crashed, the participants found a cassette. These provide hints about luggage that went “missing” during the plane crash scenario this season through “radio messages” from Fritz Meinecke.
Right at the beginning of the episode, the participants listen to the first radio message, which leads them to the “women’s suitcase”. This is not too far from the airplane, and so the group decides to send athlete Flying Uwe and survival expert Joe Vogel directly to retrieve it.
The suitcase is located in a tree crown, which the survival pro climbs and secures. On the way there and back, the participants have to cross the river, which is not exactly pleasant for the pro, especially in sub-zero temperatures.
What’s in the suitcase? Back at camp, the participants open the suitcase together. The contents probably disappoint most at first. In the suitcase were:
- 1x peanuts
- 3x knives
- 1.5x matches
- 1x toothbrush
- 1x toothpaste
The main problem for the participants right now is still the cold. There were only a few clothes to keep the participants a bit warmer. However, there was nothing in the suitcase to quickly make a campfire.

Two factions form
What happens next? The candidates freeze through the night. Still suffering from jet lag and in far too small and inadequate sleeping bags, some experience the hardest night of their lives. “[…] so far,” as Joe Vogel expresses in the episode.
During the day, the airplane is to be converted into a base so that the candidates can sleep warmer that night. For this, everyone has the task of gathering small and large wood. However, while some work diligently, influencers LetsHugo and athlete Flying Uwe lie on the ground away from the camp and watch ex-soldier Stefan Hinkelmann practice fire drilling.
After 1.5 hours, LetsHugo returns to camp without any materials, which immediately results in a comment from survival expert Joe Vogel. The group is divided because after the visit to the woods, LetsHugo and Flying Uwe also believe that a campsite there would be the better choice.
What’s the deal with the campsite? The group split into two factions in the second episode. The team of ex-soldier Stefan Hinkelmann, who prefers a sleeping spot in the woods with influencer LetsHugo and Flying Uwe.
They think that the short distances and the protected area among the trees would be better suited to survive the night. The woods seem noticeably warmer and provide plenty of firewood. However, it is far from the airplane and offers no protection against rain, and the hill must be climbed every time to get fresh water.
The other participants, led by Joe Vogel, currently prefer to stay with the airplane and convert it into a shelter. The goal for day two is to start a fire for everyone, as spending another night in these temperatures seems not only uncomfortable but also threatening. Not even 24 hours have passed, and there are already signs that the group could split up.
Will there be a fight? The group itself has not really split yet, but survival experts Stefan Hinkelmann and Joe Vogel clash multiple times. While Stefan Hinkelmann tries to convince the group calmly with his arguments, Joe Vogel quickly shuts down any discussion. This likely frustrates Stefan Hinkelmann over time, causing him to raise his voice later.
Other participants also see a conflict developing. LetsHugo says in the episode: “The group dynamics, I think, are tipping a bit. Even if that may not be seen in the footage […] I have the feeling that two are getting into it.”
Whether there will be a resolution or even a fight in the third episode remains completely unclear. This episode ends this time without a cliffhanger that would give us much away.
