In the new update of the game No Man’s Sky, you can finally fly through space together with your friends.

What kind of update is this? The update “Voyagers” catapults the game No Man’s Sky to a new level. The update has been live for a few hours and can be tried out. It is update 6.0 and primarily offers the ability to design your spaceships freely and turn them into flying bases.

Your spaceship becomes a base in space

What is new in the update 6.0? In the new update, you get entirely new options to design your ship. Ships now have a complete interior. You can add, among other things, medical stations, bedrooms, armories, radar devices, and teleporters.

The spaceships thus transform into mobile bases that you can decorate and inhabit. All of this is possible even while you are currently traveling, as you can move freely during flight and are not stuck in the pilot’s seat.

The best part: ships can now be inhabited by a multi-crew. This means you can take your friends on your ship, assign them roles, and they can help design the ship.

You can customize decorations and the exterior according to your personal style. For example, you can design your spaceship luxuriously and glide through space in splendor. Additionally, new multiplayer missions and a new suit for your character are included.

What does the developer say about the update? In a deep dive video on YouTube, developer Sean Murray describes the ship as “the most important character in No Man’s Sky.” He describes the update as the most significant so far.

Furthermore, he states that substantial parts of the game had to be overhauled for the update. The technology for the revisions will also be useful for the upcoming game Light No Fire, which Hello Games is also developing.
