What is this feature? Since the new “Voyagers” update added at the end of August 2025 to No Man’s Sky, players are allowed to design their own spaceships. Previously, they could find, buy, and repair ships, but designing was not possible.
The new update has introduced a comprehensive shipbuilding system where players can now assemble ships from hundreds of individual parts. They can also scrap unwanted ships to obtain components for their own creations.
The new mode allows players to relive the procedurally generated world by creating their own cool, fun, or quirky creations. Even the boss personally celebrates the best designs.

How are the new buildings received? Players of No Man’s Sky share their new spaceship designs on social media. A spaceship designed to look like a Nokia phone received over 41,000 upvotes on Reddit. The creator describes it as indestructible, just like the real mobile phone model.
Other creations receive not only praise from fans, but also the boss and founder of No Man’s Sky, Sean Murray, celebrates the players’ builds. Whatever he likes, he posts on his profile on X.com, thereby honoring the builders exceptionally.
A creator who landed on the boss’s profile with their artwork now shares their joy on Reddit.
How does the builder feel? On Reddit, user xGAMER4GODx shares their happiness. They mention that the boss posted their spaceship “NCC-1701–U.S.S. Enterprise D Variant” on X.com. The spaceship design originates from Star Trek and plays a central role in the series Star Trek: The Next Generation.
The builder feels honored by the boss’s post and also thanks for all the positive comments. They say a complete tutorial showing how to build the ship would take over 6 hours, but they posted a short video on Reddit showing how they built the spaceship.
