A false report is currently circulating: Black Desert Online does not have a release on January 17th on the Xbox One. Gaming sites have confused Xbox with Southeast Asia. It can happen.
Currently, a report is also circulating through the German gaming media: The MMORPG Black Desert is supposedly set to come to the Xbox One on January 10th. One could buy early access. This was announced by Pearl Abyss.
We have looked into this and it is a false report. An English-language site confused the release of Black Desert in Southeast Asia with the Xbox One release and spread the false report that one could buy access. In the article on the US site, the early access system in Southeast Asia is even explicitly linked.
German gaming sites then picked up this news – some without citing sources.

Gaming sites confuse Southeast Asia with the Xbox One
In Southeast Asia, Black Desert actually launches on January 10th. However, this has nothing to do with the Xbox One. This is about the PC version. The language in Southeast Asian games is indeed English – this includes regions such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines.
However, it is true that Black Desert is set to be released for the Xbox One. This has been known for a while. And it’s been set in stone since the E3 last summer. However, a specific release date for the Xbox One version of Black Desert is still unknown.
A release could indeed happen relatively soon, reports indicate that the port is already well advanced – but nothing has been announced yet.
Black Desert will be exclusively available for the Xbox One at launch, but a version for PlayStation 4 is likely to follow later. Microsoft has a “Console Launch Exclusive Deal” for Black Desert – similar to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
