No action hero in the world can match this killer for me – 3 of his movies are currently discounted during Prime Day

Are you fans of fast action, spectacular visuals, and a compelling main character? Then you are in the right place with the John Wick series. MeinMMO editor Marie Friske explains why she finds the movies with Keanu Reeves so great.

I must admit, in the action genre I actually prefer superhero movies that don’t take realism too seriously but delight my eyes with even more visual effects.

Actually. Because in the John Wick film series, no superpowers are needed for me to be mesmerized by the cinema screen and only think about how ultra-cool the main character is and even makes heroes like Batman or Captain America look old.

John Wick is about a killer who is retired and tries to cope with the loss of his wife. She left him a puppy as a last gift.

However, the son of a powerful crime boss messes with John Wick and kills the killer’s animal friend.

John Wick begins a revenge campaign and returns to the dark underworld full of powerful criminals and illegal activities. The main role is played by Matrix star Keanu Reeves.

Keanu Reeves shines as a killer who stays human

Keanu Reeves is the perfect casting for John Wick. On the one hand, he embodies this merciless hitman who, driven by revenge, simply eliminates anyone who gets in his way.

In doing so, Keanu Reeves gives his all: More than 90% of the stunts in the film were performed by the actor himself.

Yet, even though I watch him most of the time in the 3 films as he takes down numerous people in sometimes bloody ways, John Wick still remains human to me.

Because of Keanu Reeves’ acting talent, it suddenly seems completely appropriate to take revenge over a small puppy. Especially since I realize how much the gift had brought him joy in life again.

The film box of John Wick does not yet include the fourth and latest part of the series. This will be released on September 15, 2023, on DVD and Blu-Ray.

So if, just like me, you love breathtaking action scenes that are simply great to watch and liked Keanu Reeves in Matrix or Cyberpunk 2077, you should definitely take a closer look at the John Wick series.
