Epic has revealed what is coming next week for players in Fortnite: Battle Royale. It’s Llamas. In exchange, Smoke Grenades are being removed. There’s also an image of the jetpacks.
Via Twitter, Epic shared a small developer update for Fortnite: Battle Royale. They briefly look at the new mode and introduce what’s in store for next week’s update.

Jetpacks have to wait
To start, they briefly mention the jetpacks. They were supposed to actually arrive in Fortnite Battle Royale, but the arrival of the jetpacks was postponed due to issues in internal gameplay tests.
Epic hasn’t announced exactly when they will come, but at least there is a screenshot of the jetpack.

New 20-player mode aims to bridge the gap between Team and 50-player modes
The new 20-player team mode is seen by Epic as a mode that lies between the Team and the earlier 50-player modes. The storm behavior is somewhat different than normal. Additionally, there’s a higher chance of treasure chests and loot.
This is one of the Limited Time modes, so it will be disappearing from Fortnite soon.

What the new patch 3.3 brings
For next week, likely Thursday, March 15, Epic has prepared the next patch. This is update 3.3.
Here they are bringing the “Llamas” known from PvE. They will likely function similarly to treasure chests and ammo crates: as loot containers.
You can find the Llamas randomly on the island. They should help players right away, it is said. The more detailed information about what is inside the Llamas will likely be revealed in the next patch notes.
Smoke Grenades are being removed from Fortnite: BR with 3.3 and are going back to the workshop. Player feedback led Epic to decide to remove these from Fortnite: Battle Royale – just like the submachine gun. The smoke grenades were apparently used too little and are scheduled for rework.
