The MMORPG New World by Amazon experienced a huge influx at launch. This has tapered off: some guilds have emptied their original servers and are now turning to new ones. On one of the last full servers, a duel is taking place between the best guild of Poland and the strongest guild of Russia.
This is the situation:
- At the release of New World, the influx was so great that Amazon opened over 200 servers just in Europe. The servers were relatively small, so they quickly filled up.
- On some servers, individual guilds were so dominant that they quickly found no more challenges and then invaded other servers with a mass transfer, to loot and wreak havoc there.
- Now there are fewer and fewer full servers, and on one of the servers, Vega, two such marauding guilds have transferred.
Russian and Polish guilds have each dominated 2 servers, now meet
What are these guilds? As one of the participating players states, a duel is happening on the server “Vega” between two guilds:
- The Polish guild EMIGRACJA (Emigration) has dominated the Karkar and Bran servers, and they came to “Vega” to find a new challenge. They were also on the verge of dominating there, but then another guild joined in.
- The Russian guild Chaos has also already dominated two servers, as the competitor says, before landing on Vega.
How is the war going? The Polish player says: The two guilds initially had a balanced feud with fights, battles, and wars. It resulted in a stalemate, as neither could really defeat the other.
The Polish player accuses the Russians of using “unfair tricks” to gain an advantage. They had 12 Polish players banned for no reason, by exploiting Amazon’s automatic banning system.
While there are claims that the Russians are also disadvantaged by the blockade of Russian and Belarusian players by Amazon, the player does not accept that: while some may indeed have problems, most have circumvented the ban through VPN.
The player is now calling on every Polish person who plays New World and wants to “kick Ruskies” to join the fight of Emigration on the server Vega.
Instead of streamers, countries now fight against each other in New World
What’s behind it: At first, Amazon thought that mainly “Twitch streamers” would engage in such battles. However, the situation in New World has now led to guilds from large countries clashing and delivering these legendary battles, which should also be in the spirit of the game.
In such cases, it almost comes with the territory to accuse the opposing guild of using every dirty trick possible to gain an advantage. This is traditional.
