In New World, the winter event runs until January 11th. During this event, you can earn a lot of expertise, but above all, many Talers. We will tell you how it works.
How can you earn many Talers with the event? Basically, the winter event already gives you 300 Talers every day just by interacting with three light trees. One of these trees is located in each settlement that can be conquered by players.
So, by simply traveling through three settlements, you have already earned good money and can simultaneously increase your expertise for endgame equipment.
During the event, you can also earn winter tokens that can be exchanged for equipment, housing content, or buff food. And this is also a good way to earn money.

Earn Talers with Winter Tokens
How exactly do you earn Talers with winter tokens? There are two methods that can bring you Talers. Option 1 focuses on buff food, specifically on the delightful wraps and also on the comfortable cake.
The buff food can be acquired for 2 winter tokens and increases your concentration or strength by 33. This is a good value, but slightly less than the best buff food in the game. This provides an additional 40 attributes.
However, this buff food costs quite a lot of Talers:
- Blackened lava barbecue with corn succotash costs between 350 and 900 Talers depending on the server and provides 40 concentration
- Grilled gnufish costs between 180 and 400 Talers depending on the server and provides 40 strength
The buff food from the winter event provides fewer attributes but also costs significantly less. It is usually offered at the trading post for 6 to 15 Talers, which currently corresponds to a profit of 3 to 7.5 Talers per token.
However, after the winter event, it is highly likely that the price for the buff food will rise. It is quite possible that it could sell for 50 or even more Talers. Here, a bit of speculation is needed.
Option 2 aims at you purchasing the epic equipment items from the winter vendor. These cost 50 winter tokens and are then bound to you upon purchase. However, you can recycle them, which will net you some Talers and 1-4 Orichalcum bars.
On average, you receive 2.5 bars, which you can sell for about 25 Talers each. This gives you a bit more than 1 Taler per winter token.
However, you can keep the raw materials you earn and use them for crafting yourself. This way, you save possible fees at the trading post and can significantly increase the value of your Talers.
