In New World, the long-awaited Dungeon Finder was supposed to find its way into the game with the big summer update, but unfortunately, it did not. We from MeinMMO summarize.
What feature is it about? Since the release of New World, all players have actually been waiting for the Dungeon Finder. It is a “Quality of Life” tool that makes it easier to find groups for your dungeons and expeditions.
However, this feature was not present in New World until now. Players had to painstakingly gather some people through chat; there was simply no other option. With the new summer Medleyfaire update, this was supposed to change.
Even before the update and even in the patch notes on the day of the update, the Dungeon Finder was mentioned, but it still did not make its way into the game.
Why didn’t it come? No one really knows. Shortly after the patch, an official post appeared in the New World forum. It states that the Dungeon Finder still needs more work to function properly. It is supposed to be added later, but when that will be is currently still uncertain.
Nevertheless, Amazon emphasizes that this does not affect the new expedition, which is still supposed to be released with the next weekly update. They want to continue testing the Dungeon Finder until then to ensure it functions smoothly.

What else is going wrong? Apart from the missing Dungeon Finder, there are also problems due to the re-fusion of several servers. Many players are currently complaining in the forum and on reddit about instability and connection issues.
Additionally, this is causing new queues in the MMORPG. These were a big problem at release, and New World has since lost over 90% of its player count. Some fans find the queues therefore inappropriate.
Still more players: Despite the problems with the new update and the delay of the Dungeon Finder, New World can gain player numbers for the first time since April. The MMORPG can pull in 26,604 players simultaneously into its world (via steamcharts).
This marks not only a new record since May but is also the first time since the April update that the player counts of New World are actually rising and not falling. Whether the game can maintain this trend remains to be seen.

How is the community reacting? The fans of New World have unfortunately become accustomed to bugs and delays, yet the absence of the Dungeon Finder stands out negatively. Especially on reddit, heated discussions are taking place. Many players are disappointed, but especially those who have been around for a long time see progress at Amazon.
Some fans say they are glad that Amazon informed them in advance that the feature would not go live. It is better than to go online only to turn it off again shortly afterward and ruin the fun for many people.
The same people also say that one should simply be patient. New World has improved a lot since release; one just needs to give it some time.
